• The TV worked.
• Dirty Towels, stained carpets, rubbish outside & in.

“First Impressions included the hotel sign with a few of the letters missing. We then tried to park but there were no facilities. We walked up to the hotel and it looked more like a building site than a A#54.00 a night hotel. The staff were friendly enough but upon entering the room I did look for a Beadle camera with no luck. The room was very small and poorly decorated. The carpet had various stains and one of the bath towels had numerous ' stains on it. After a while I gave up looking for the camera and went out for a long walk. An interesting stay.”

• Very nice breakfast.
• very noisy. could hear other guests

“Overall this is a very nice hotel and the staff are friendly and welcoming. But the down side would be the distance from scarborough town centre, so if it nights out your after, you must be willing to either get your walking boots on or be willing to pay for taxis.”

• The quiet and scenic location but close enough to the centre
• the large but cosy feel to the hotel,

• comfort and cleanliness, but overall, friendliness and informality of owners

“the accomodation is very nice and was a pleasant surprise as a single star rating as the standards are set higher. Far better than the previous three star hotel we had stayed in.
The hotel is slightly out the way in the North Bay, although this did not bother us, it is a fair walk to the active part of the front if you have no transport.
Overall impression is very good.”

• Disapppointed with how small the 'Delux En-Suite room' was.

“Size of the rooms.
Exact location of the hotel and how to get there (it was fun trying find the hotel in the dark on our first visit to Scarborough!)”

• quiet part of town,ample parking,friendly staff,nice rooms
• can hear what's going on in the next room, not really within walking distance of the centre and restaurants

“overall a good hotel with friendly staff, excellent for short breaks, real value for money and conveniently situated in a quiet part of town. Sometimes it can be difficult to not have ensuite facilities (which is clearly stated when you book this hotel), so be prepared”
