• Helpful, friendly staff and very clean.
• Expensive and additional $20 per person to use the pool.

“We truly enjoyed our time in Sapporo. We were there for the Snow and Ice Festival. The Renaissance was the only hotel available when we made reservations. The price was outrageous! We had lots of help with maps, restaurants, etc. Most people working there spoke English. Buffet breakfast was included in the price. The Californian restaurant was very nice. Highchairs were available but they were more like barstools with arms and a back. We had a 2 1/2 year old and a 6 month old. One of us ate while the other held the baby. Other (nicer) restaurants were available in the hotel. We stuck with the Californian because we had three kids with us. The indoor pool was very chilly and had about 4 lanes in it. You do have to pay about $20 per person to use the fitness center and pool. I didn't feel like it did us much good. We are swimmers and the kids were excited about going swimming. One of us had to stay out of the pool with the two youngest because it was too cold for them. Overall the staff was great. The place was really clean and very nicely decorated. I wouldn't go back with small children.”
