• Bog room for Europe.
• The room was semi dirty. They tried to nickel and dime us to death.

“I would not recommend. The place that we stayed in London was exactly the opposite. London was friendly and accommodating.”

• Super close to a Metro stop, ice maker available, AC with controllable settings.
• Not sufficient room to store luggage before / after check in.

“Good hotel for Americans who want their creature comforts (for example, we have never had an ice machine in any other European hotel), just be prepared for smaller sized rooms than you might expect in the USA.”

• The location was great; you could walk to all tourist attractions.
• There was some mildew on the ceiling and in the closet.

“The hotel was in a great location where we could walk to all tourist attractions. Located in a quiet neighborhood area in a historic building. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was very nice and newer fixtures were there. Use the Air France shuttle bus to get to this location, which is a short walk from the bus stop.”

• Perfectly located close to boutiques and a metro station.
• There was always a smell of cigarette smoke in the hall ways and lobby, but this is normal in Paris.

“This hotel is perfectly located downtown next to lots of boutiques and shops and 1 block from a metro station. It was clean and nice. The hallways and lobby often smelled like cigarettes. This is to be expected in Paris because everyone smokes and they do not have any laws in France about not smoking in certain places. Do not let that keep you from staying in this great hotel.”

• This location was within walking distance to whatever you wanted to see on the Left Bank.
• Was under renovation and halls were sometimes cluttered.

“This hotel was perfect for seeing all the major sights in Paris. It was convenient, on the both the metro and bus lines within a block. Also had great little markets on the street for produce, meats, baked goods and laundry mat. We loved out location.”

• The location was great and the room was wonderful in terms of being comfortable and clean.
• There is nothing we didn't like.

“This is a great hotel in terms of location since it's in an interesting area and has a metro station right around the corner. The room was small, as are many in Paris, but it was very clean and the service was great. We'd stay again anytime.”

“Situated near key tourist attractions, comfortable, responsive and courteous staff (with the exception of one). Rooms can use upgrading but are comfortable. Internet charges in room are too high at $15E for a day, $6E for one hour.”

• It is very close to more than one metro station, also walking distance to good eating places.
• The staff was somewhat indifferent. Didn't replace a broken coffee pot despite many requests.

“This hotel is very conveniently located near metro stations and walking distance from jar din Luxembourg. The rooms are small but clean. Although the staff does not respond promptly to requests, this was quite a good place to stay and sightsee for a few days.”

• Friendly staff.
• First room had extremely strong cigarette smell even though it was listed as non-smoking. Staff did move us upon request.

• Great location, good access to city, English speaking staff.
• Lack of non smoking areas, small rooms.

“The hotel met our expectations - it was easy to find, very close to the Metro station. Staff was helpful at check in check out and general information. The room was a bit small but had all the amenities and necessary things required. We did not use the local hotel breakfast.”

• Very Americanized, full bathroom, even an ice machine on 2nd level.
• Not a lot of personality. Only two pillows, couldn't get another from front desk.

“Overall this hotel was an excellent value, if you aren't planning on spending much time in the room. Located in Montparnasse, which seemed lively, and close to a Metro station for a short ride to attractions. Rooms were small, but not unreasonably so for European Standards and did lack a certain charm. The bathroom was very adequate and met all our needs. One pleasant surprise ----- an ice maker on the second floor!”

• Monique, maid found an iron for us quickly! The front desk was helpful with directions.

• Gino, the friendly bartender, was knowledgeable and entertaining.
• One of the night staff did not know that some taxis could take credit cards.

“The staff was helpful, courteous and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. I was located near Cafe, a large market, the metro, RER, and the #96 bus which leads to Oberkampf. Over all I would recommend it and would book a room there in the future.”

• Mere steps from largest organic farmers market in France. Market operates only on Sundays.
• This hotel did not include complimentary breakfast offered to most guests.

“Very clean rooms, good selection of free English-language newspapers. Exceedingly courteous and helpful front-desk staff; they are very patient with stereotypical American guests who expect everyone to speak English. Excellent location: one block from largest organic farmers market in France (Sundays only), only minutes away from Joel Rubicon's famed restaurant. Also, good eclectic shopping in the neighborhood. Metro stop is one block away. Clean, quiet rooms with windows that open fully to allow the sounds of the city to filter into the room. Good value for summertime in Paris.”

• Great location within 50 meters of St Placide Metro.
• No air conditioning (though being fixed). Smokey lobby.

“Basic Holiday Inn with normal 3* rooms. Decor a little tired (water damaged wall paper in our room for example). Comfortable beds, multi-channel TV with one or two English, a couple German, and most others French language. Small lobby and bar with breakfast area downstairs. Newly fitted air conditioning not working for our stay which made rooms unpleasant without open windows, but the streets are noisy (it is Paris!). Great location just off St Placide with bus and metro connections readily available to Paris sights. Walking easy and pleasant. Many cafes nearby for breakfast etc and all other shopping you would expect. About 5 minutes walk from Gare Montparnasse where there are excellent public transport connections.”

• It was quiet.
• Dingy, not near enough to requested area. Ignored me when I said there was no hot water.

“When I arrived, the safe didn't work in the room so I had to go for getting the room cleaned. The second day I went to take a shower and there was no hot water. I called downstairs and they told me that was impossible but would send someone up. No one ever came up.”

• In general, the hotel was very conveniently located, was clean and the staff was very nice.
• I did not realize until the end of the stay that a complimentary light breakfast was included. I suppose I should have inquired.

“The location was conveniently located near the metro, shopping and near the Latin Quarter. The hotel was very good. The hotel staff for the most part was very helpful and friendly depending on the person at the desk, though I think the difficulty was mostly in communication with some staff members rather than a lack of helpfulness.”

• The location was excellent in accessing the metro transportation system.
• Not use to the European style of hotels with smaller rooms.

• Staff made the difference. Very helpful & polite.
• Rooms were quite small & breakfast was pricey for amount offered.

“Good value for business travel, or couples wanting to be in the heart of Paris. Not especially geared toward families.”
