“I am sure the Saudi princes staying there were treated well, but we definitely detected a different level of treatment for us. Despite doorknob sign saying do not disturb, cleaning staff barged into our rooms and were angry with my 12 year old about needing to clean the room soon, even after they had awakened her from jet lag sleep. Honestly for $600 retail and $343 wholesale the room was small. it was quiet. and the bathroom was recently redone. The floor maid "escorted us down the hallway " each time we came and went, for unknown reasons, I suspect they were concerned about the mountains of luggage, with Saudi addresses which remained piled along the hallway outside the "princesses" rooms for three days.” 1 of 2 people found this review helpful.Jul 7, 2006 by

“The Grande Hotel was central to our first "Paris" experience. We definitely plan to come back again. Everything was top of the line. The staff was friendly. The room was beautiful and clean. The environment was safe. I can't wait to come back.” Feb 26, 2006 by

“Excellent hotel with really great comfort and a very convenient location next to the Metro and bus station. The connection to the airport is perfect. The Roissybus starts at the airport, stops at the opera next to the hotel and the price is just 8,40 Euros.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jan 19, 2006 by

“The hotel is beautiful. I am currently staying at the Intercontinental Hotel in Vienna and would have to say that it is one of the worst hotel experiences that I have ever had. I have had about 100 hotel stays this year alone and would rank this as my worst!” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 5, 2005 by

“Nice and very elegant hotel. Excellent located. Good service. Big rooms To be a French hotel. Room's extra charges like internet and mini bar are very expensive.” Dec 3, 2005 by
Elizabeth from Silicon Valley, CA
“This hotel was amazing, intercontinental has set the bar high for great chain hotels with the Le Grand. The location is convenient, one block to the metro, opera house, restaurants and exclusive shops all around. The room service was excellent, with multiple services including turn down, mini bar restocking, even slippers, perfume, robes to make your stay just that much better. The hotel has a business center and restaurants that are the place to be, cafe de la paix was always bustling with people. The rooms are very elegant, obviously they went all out with their renovation. Shower is nice, however it can easily spray to the floor with the shower head positioning and door style. The Conceierge was OK, not what i expected for a hotel of that caliber, didn't really get much there, but if you know what you want to do they will help direct you and tell you how to save money. One more thing, the hotel defintely caters to English speakers, with all main interactions available in English, including all of the room services and food menus. The hotel has 24 hour room service and a nice mini bar, just be aware that it is not cheap. Room service includes the staff setting up a table in your room with all the fixings, working to make it just like home. The room service breakfast is very customizable and has a lot of food, which aligns with the price tag. There is also a buffet, but we didn't try that out. All in all, experience in Paris and this hotel was awesome. I'd recommend it to my friends and family, and loyaly stay at an Intercontinental again. Enjoy!” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Oct 24, 2005 by

“Beautiful hotel. Not as many restaurants nearby as in other areas, but it was conveniently located, about a block from the metro. The restaurant in the hotel was too expensive to actually use, but was very good. The staff could have been friendlier, but the hotel's niceness made up for it. The shower could have been better, but the bed was soft and very comfy. And, the room was a nice size for Europe.” Oct 19, 2005 by

“Excellent staff, location, and amenities. What you'd expect from 5-star hotel.” Oct 19, 2005 by

“Very nice rooms. Good ambience, courteous and friendly staff.” Oct 5, 2005 by

“Overall, I liked this hotel. It was beautiful, classy, sophisticated, location is very good. However, you need to be aware when you booking hotel in Paris, because you don't know what you're getting for your money. I paid $275 for night and my room was the size of shoebox. So tiny, I felt like I was invited to rich family member's house and let me sleep in their beautiful house in the attic. Our room was in the top floor of the hotel. Generally, in Paris as higher the floor, the smaller size of the rooms. I wish I knew that before or asked questions before booking.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 28, 2005 by

“Excellent location, impeccable service, beautiful remodeled rooms, comfortable bed, almost perfect! The French really have to learn one thing or two about shower curtains. Please no more of those half screen of useless glass panels that leak! (This didn't dampen our marvelous stay throughout though.) Number one choice for our Paris hotel from now on.” Sep 20, 2005 by
James from Bakersfield, CA
“Great location and grand public rooms. Rooms were nicely done but a bit small. Eat breakfast elsewhere as the cost far outweighed the quality.” May 6, 2005 by
Armen from Los Angeles, CA
“This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The hotel decor is glamorous, and perhaps ranks as one of the top 3 hotels in Paris (I visited many other 5-star hotels in the area, the Le Grande was by far my favorite). We were greeted professionally and were even upgraded to a more expensive room due to our Ambassador Club Gold membership with Intercontinental Hotels. ” Mar 14, 2005 by
Renata from Vacaville, CA
“Elegant hotel, fine furnishings, fine linens. Mar 14, 2005 by

“Beautiful grand modern hotel well located in Paris Opera District. The rooms were very comfortable, we had to upgrade since the room they offered was so small. And we had to pay additional for this. Feb 18, 2005 by

“Excellent facilities and very satisfactory. It exceeded my expectations and I would definitely stay there again.” Feb 14, 2005 by

“It is a beautiful great hotel, in the best possible location, well deserving its 5 star rating.” Feb 2, 2005 by
Jennifer from Gary, NE
“All in all, a very pleasant weekend in a great location but I would not rush to go back in view of the price paid. If I lived in the hallways or the lobby I would be happy, as they are gorgeous! ” Jan 26, 2005 by
Thomas from Falls Church, VA
“I have stayed over 50 nights. This was the best for in terms of value for a 5 Star. Thanks” Dec 25, 2004 by
David S. from Boston “The hotel was totally up to the 5-star standard!! I have stayed at many 5-star hotels but I must say Le Grand Inter-Continental deserves more than 5 stars! The concierge was extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms were immaculate and the lobby's decor was amazing, they totally captured the Christmas spirit! Would stay there again when in Paris!” Dec 16, 2004 by
Nathan S. from Apo Ae “The grand hotel is Paris is a luxury stay. It has every amenity imaginable, albeit at a price. Not much comes included, and there is no pool. Great for a romantic weekend.” Nov 10, 2004 by
“I stay at a lot of high end hotels each year and this one is a legitimate 5 star hotel. No question about it.”
