• Nothing.
• Expensive. No breakfast. Unfriendly.

• They are unfriendly, unhelpful and dishonest.

“We checked in late on a Friday night and were placed in a balcony room on the third floor with no view of the Eiffel tower. The next morning waste liquid was draining into the shower from the room above. When I informed the staff they said they would send a technician to check it. I explained that this was a long standing problem with the ceiling all cracked and that the room was not usable They reluctantly moved me to the 6th floor with a better view but this did not happen to the evening and we could not shower. Every day I had to call room service to replace the coffee in the room. One day the room was never cleaned. I would never go to this hotel again. They are unfriendly, unhelpful, and dishonest. The hotel is also run down in its appearance and despite the high cost they do not provide breakfast like so many other European hotels do.”

• Spacious comfortable room and you can almost touch the Eiffel Tower from your balcony.
• Lobby under renovation, restaurants were expensive and not up to Paris dining standards.

“Overall, we enjoyed this hotel very much, very large room with Eiffel view, nice facility, great location, we walked 1 1/2 block to the Eiffel Tower. Staff was friendly and helpful. Spend the extra dough and get the Eiffel view, worth every penny.”

• The helpfulness of concierge and front desk agents.

“When I arrived at the Hilton Hotel, I realized that I had either lost or had my wallet stolen, with all credit cards, cash and passport inside. The concierge/front desk personnel were so helpful, giving me directions to the police precinct and trying to reassure me. Later (after a miracle, I did retrieve my wallet at another police precinct) except all of my cash had been stolen. They allowed me use of the internet to print off some onward travel boarding passes/papers for free. The location of this hotel was 2 blocks from the Eiffel Tower, so gorgeous, as they light it at night. I would most definitely recommend this hotel to all of my friends and family and would like to stay there myself on another occasion.”

• Looking it's age, not the best location.

“Our 6 day stay went just fine. Staff and cleanliness were top notch. But the hotel is showing it's age and starting to look shabby if you look closely. The air conditioning did not work but luckily the windows opened. Also, the location is not the best for Paris sightseeing.”

• We were given twin beds.

“Great location with a view of the Eiffel tower. Clean room. Fairly large for European standards. The only negative part was that my husband and I were given two twin beds instead of a Queen.”

• Couldn't figure out the shower (we had two rooms) couldn't figure out just one of them even though we called the desk.

• Could not beat the location! Customer service was excellent.
• Not impressed that the Hilton gave us a sub-standard room at first. Mold smell and broken a/c that could not be fixed.

“I agree with the four stars rating for European standards. Rooms more spacious than other Hilton's we've stayed at in Europe. Best Hotel location in Paris! View of Eiffel Tower from our room (felt like I could almost touch it), subway almost around the corner. Restaurants, bakeries and corner stores right there. Not near shopping although Subway is very close. Staff had no problem moving us from the mold room and they were very apologetic. I am however bothered and insulted that the Hilton hasn't taken that room out of circulation. Thankfully for Hilton administration, they have a great staff in Paris. Definitely recommend mostly because of the location!”

• A refrigerator for personal use in the room.
• Did not meet cleanliness in room/star category.

“The hotel did not have a refrigerator to store personal items. It was utilized for goods sold by the hotel for a very steep price. The room was not ready at time of check in. I had to wait two hours before the final room was ready. The room looked like a 2 star stay with a CRT.”

• The location was two blocks to Eiffel Tower and excellent. For knowing when to avoid long lines to go up the tower.
• The room was sub standard but acceptable. The windows opened to the street below and were not acceptable for small children.

“Our room was not quite up to the typical standards of this hotel chain but our experience in all other respects was above average. The shower leaked water from the bathroom shower above us one night, the air conditioner was too weak to be effective, and the large picture windows looking out onto the street below had no child protection device and thus was not acceptable for small children. Even though we were on a low floor, our eight year old was preoccupied with opening the large window. All in all, the value for the room was high because the staff offered to relocate us to another room had we requested it and the location two blocks from the Eiffel Tower was the best.”

• The staff was very helpful and friendly. It was also clean & our room was truly non-smoking.
• The service in the bar was a little slow.

• This hotel was very close to the Eiffel Tower, the Metro and the room was large by European standards.
• Bed was somewhat uncomfortable.

“I reserved a room at this "4-star-hotel" for myself and my fiancée. We arrived only to be told that we would not be given a room with one bed but rather a room with two beds. We were finally given a room with one bed but we were forced to pay 55 euros extra! If they have rooms available, it is outrageous to be expected to pay an additional fee!”

“This hotel is located within 2-3 blocks of the Tower. We could see 2/3 of it from our room window. The hotel is nice and the staff did there best with English translation versus us not able to speak French well. No regrets.”

“Our stay at the Hilton Paris couldn't have been better! We booked just for 1 night (valentines day) and were very happy. I've stayed in many hotels across Europe and this one tops them all. Great English speaking staff, even upgraded us from 2 twins to a queen, and were able to get us a room early (our flight landed at 6:30 am). Oh and of course you're RIGHT across the street from the Eiffel Tower. As you're walking to the hotel from the train stop (also very easy to get around on), you don't notice the tower until you look down one of the side streets off your left, and BAM!, there it is. Couldn't have asked for a better V-Day!”

“Great location 1 block from RER C Champs de Mars station and the Eiffel Tower but the rooms need refreshing/updating. The hotel restaurant and bar were insanely over-priced, but the Club Lounge was fantastic. Reception upgraded us as we're Gold Hilton Honors members, so we were able to get an Eiffel Tower view room.”

• The building was old and heating system's fan was noisy and on all the time.

“The Hilton near the Eiffel Tower is a great bargain four star hotel near all of the major attractions. You can almost walk to all of the major museums and tourist attractions. A Subway station only 5 minutes away so any part of the city easily accessible. The staff was very friendly and the interior is new. However, the building is old (~30 years) and could do with some renovation to make it truly a four star hotel inside and out.”

• Bar was so expensive, even for pairs.

“Had a great time, staff was very accommodating. bed was very hard, but one mention to the front desk and staff improvised padding that made bed into a little bit of heaven. wouldn't have been able to afford. What a great second honeymoon.”

• Not many restaurants or shops in the area.

“A bit out of the way from the action but there are 2 metros just out the door. Very quiet location, clean rooms, and the best concierge by far. I would definitely stay here again. Very pleasant experience!!”

• Location was great. Metro was close. Good deal on room.
• Room maid was not very attentive every day she forgot something else.

“Very nice hotel which is super close to the Eiffel tower. we could be there in five minutes and fell asleep in our beds with the view of the tower. Staff was very friendly.”

• Close to Eiffel Tower.
• Two separate beds for a married couple, come on!!

“The hotel was in a great location. The staff were friendly. However, I was very disappointed to find out that our room had two single beds for a married couple. Also, the room was in the back of the hotel with no view. If I was traveling to Paris again, I would not use this hotel for a romantic trip. Also, a cheaper rate was available for the hotel which included a free breakfast. The breakfast cost an additional 31 euros per person.”
