• Adequate for a one night stay.
• Rather cramped and not very clean.

“The hotel staff were pleasant and breakfast very good. No lift but my case was taken upstairs for me. I took a non en-suite room which was adequate for one night. If I had been staying longer I would have chosen more carefully.”

• This small hotel is family run and they make you feel part of the family. Excellent.
• There are no complaints.

“This is a very good and well run hotel. the rooms were very clean and the facitities were excellent. The included breakfast was second to none, it set us up for the day. Thank you.”

• VERY FRIENDLY AND VERY HELPFUL STAFF

“wE arrived late at our hotel and could not find anywhere to park The manager of the hotel asked me to follow him while he ran about 300mtrs to his car he allowed me to park in his spot and then proceeded to try and find a new spot for himself. This act of kindness was much appreciated and together with the pleasant short stay we had at the Riviera will ensure we stay at the same place the next time we are in Plymouth.”

• Good size / shape single room - did not feel boxed in. Good breakfast.

“The proprietors were friendly and the place was clean and tidy. I also liked the fact that it was a non-smoking hotel. On the nights I stayed I was not disturbed by any other residents so had a good night's sleep.”

• great breakfasts, and well within walking distance of The Hoe and Barbican
• nothing bad to say!

“Overall a great little hotel! The owners and staff were very professional and helpfull, the breakfast service was more than adequate with a reasonable selection and accomodation of individual orders, rooms were clean and well kept. It is situated very close to the Hoe (rather picturesce part of plymouth) and is within walking distance of the main pub / restaraunt section of town (The Barbican). When staying I would recommend at least one meal at the thai restaraunt directly across the road.”

• Lack of car parking

“From a business travellers point of view it is a nice place to stay. Not too easy to find without the aid of a town map (in my case a print from Multimap)!”
