• We liked our room after being moved on request
• We didnt like it when the receptionist sent us to a room that was already occupied

“I would like to know if some of the rooms had been refurbished, the second room I had had been and was a big improvement.”

• it was adequate. The tea/coffee facilities very good especialy having biscuits. Room service Excellent. excellent been able to look at information using the TV for things like the hotel bill, messages etc

“I overshot the hotel coming from Arnold, ended up stuck in the centre of Nottingham. As there is such a good landmark as in the roundabout right by the hotel it would have been helpful to have indicated this in the directions so that anyone coming down the A60 from Arnold direction would not overshoot like I did or if they did they would know about it straight away and be able to go round and back on themselves. Unfortunately the signs that say the Moat House Hotel are extremely high up - needless to say I did not look up high enough. I did easily spot the Great Western Hotel just before the Moat House - the name was more on normal eye level.
The breafast charge is very steep if you not wish to have a cooked breakfast everyday. I have used hotels where they offer different charges depending on whether or not you have a cooked breakfast.
I was glad I had confirmation of my booking via email as to what I was quoted as I was originally charged a different rate to that put on my bill on checking out.
otherwise it was overall a very pleasant stay and the staff were excellent, facilities very good and clean.”

• Staff very friendly and always there to help if any problem did arise
• thought the hotel was great.

“Would stay there again tomorrow. Had a couple of nightmares in Norfolk hotels recently so this was a welcome tonic!! Well done all staff at moat house and thankyou!!”

• Liked the leisure facilities
• The room was scruffy and tiny for 2 people and the toilet didnt flush

“Although the hotel provided great leisure facilities the accomodation we were given was very poor indeed. Had we known how small and shabby (wallpaper torn) the room was we would never have booked it. We felt that we were given a far inferior room as we had paid a discounted price over the internet.”

• Convenient for my head office.
• Room small, hot and noisy.

“Parking was difficult, I paid '6 for two slices of bread and a sprinkling of grated cheese. The room was very small and despite turning off the radiator it was very hot. I opened the window and the traffic noise was overwhelming. However, the room was clean and I have no complaints about the staff who were polite and helpful.”

• Clean and tidy rooms ,polite and confident staff,good location.
• Bed rather soft, any longer than a two night stay would have caused discomfort.

“Hotel is set in a good location being just outside the center of Nottingham. Is ideal for those choosing a reasonably priced room
for a night or weekend away.”

• good breakfast Adequate parking
• The room was not available at stated time and the staff were not cocerned for our inconvenience.The hotel was noisy until 3am.
