• Good location, well-run, clean.
• Thin walls - I had a very loud party next to me.

“Straight-forward, clean, nice accommodations, near the Camden Lock, Camden Market, and a Tube stop. Nicer than I expected from a Holiday Inn.”

• Nice location on canal. Friendly staff. Close to subway. Nice rooms.
• A little noisy outside at night, but not too bad.

“Holiday Inn Camden Lock is situated on a canal. Only a 5 minute walk from the tube. Located directly across from Camden Market. Friendly staff and clean, nice rooms.”

• Cleanliness. Hotel cups were dirty (hair), maids left dirty rags in rooms and did very little to tidy up.

• High quality, nice area, good experience.
• Some people might not like the young punk crowd that hangs out in the region.

“High quality hotel with nice restaurants. Easy walking distance to the subway. Located in an area with lots of young punk demographic. We felt safe in the area.”

“Hotel is located in a very hip part of town right next to a great Locke & Square Acre Large International Market. Tube is also very close. Neighborhood is possibly a little too "urban" for children.”

• The location in historic, trendy, Camden Lock. The staff was helpful.
• The restaurant was expensive.

“This hotel is in an excellent location. It's close to an underground station, close to the sights in London. The staff is all very helpful and friendly. I'll stay there again when I return to London.”

“I loved the Holiday Inn - Camden Lock. Excellent location, wonderful room. One thing I found odd (although I never tested it) as that you couldn't go up on the elevators if you were on your floor. (Only a down button) I was also quite alarmed at their holding #100 for 'incidentals' on my card. (I used approx. 21p for a phone call) although it was immediately released after checking out. I'm just glad I didn't need it while there. All in all a lovely stay and would highly recommend the hotel to others. Hopefully I will get to stay there again on a future trip.”

• Excellent location with views of the canal and bridges.
• Air conditioning worthless, room hot and stuffy.

“Good hotel in interesting scenic location with interesting shopping nearby. But with air condition in bad shape, it is necessary to open the balcony doors, which then allows in excessive noise from pubs below. Overall, I would recommend it.”

• Location in hip part of town - nice room, friendly staff.
• Drunks singing outside my room at 3:00 am.

“Located just minutes from the Camden town tube stop, and convenient to buses to the center of London, the holiday inn Camden lock is a great choice for the traveler interested in experiencing a lively, "hip" part of London. Rooms are of a good size, staff is friendly, and hotel restaurant and bar are very convenient.”

• Modern clean rooms.
• Cramped bathroom.

“Clean comfortable but compact room, bathroom a little cramped. Nice location on the Regents Canal. Helpful staff. Small but pleasant lobby with bar. Breakfast buffet is good if included with your stay but overpriced if not. Camden Town Road is a bit seedy with some street people lurking beneath the bridges.”

“The hotel, although clean and comfortable, is a very seedy neighborhood. The hotel also charges GBP 8.00 for one hour of internet access. A real rip-off.”

• The room was clean.
• This hotel was in a bad neighborhood, hotel staff knew nothing about area attractions. They did absolutely nothing to help us with sight seeing.

“This hotel was clean. However, it is located in a bad area. There was a robbery right outside our hotel room, which we witnessed. The walls between rooms was like paper. We had to call the front desk to ask them to do something about the noise at 3:45 a.m. I was very scared to walk from the subway to the hotel. The hotel does not give any information regarding sight seeing. They charged us $20 for an outlet converter, however they never told us there would be a charge. I could have bought one for $12. We were very disappointed with this hotel.”

• Clean, modern, and close to the lock/canal with the Camden Market to visit. Close to Hemstead Heath.
• The area is still changing. I did not feel safe here. Lots of street noise with a pub across the street.

“The hotel itself was fine. It was clean, modern and the rooms nice appointed. It would be nice to get free Internet for the rates we are paying. The area of Camden Town is a bit dicey. I saw a lot of drug activity, asked to purchase and my friend had her purse stolen while at the pub, "Lush" across the street. If you like that kind of gritty neighborhood, like the East Village, go, but if you want safety, quiet, and not so much 20-somethings around another place would be better.”

• Clean and spacious room with modern interior, walking distance to beautiful Regent's Park.
• A couple of staff were a little less friendly and helpful.

“My partner & I stayed 4 nights at the Holiday Inn London-Camden Lock in late May. It was conveniently located to: tube, bus stops, restaurants, first foods, a large Sainsbury's store and much more. We enjoyed walking to the nearby beautiful Regent's park and even explored to find Kensington Palace. The room was very large and clean, and the interior design was simple but refined. Although overall the hotel was outstanding, the staff was not so impressive, but OK.”
