“London's Crowne Plaza: the city hotel is a pleasure. The rooms are beautiful, the staff is helpful, and the hotel is located within walking distance of some of London's best landmarks and museums. Access to the underground train system is less than one block away. It was the perfect hotel for a one week stay in London.” Aug 31, 2008 by
Gabriel, N. from Ridgewood, NY
“Nice hotel, good location, friendly personnel.” Jul 27, 2008 by
Jennifer from Raleigh, NC
“The room was light and airy and clean. I liked that the room was not hot and claustrophobic feeling like some hotel rooms. The hotel was located near major sites and we walked and walked and walked fun!” May 22, 2008 by
Russ from Etobicoke, ON CA
“This is a great spot just step from Fleet Street, and a short walk to Embankment Station and the exciting waterfront. From here my wife and I toured the highlights of the city and enjoyed ourselves more than we did a week later when we stayed near Paddington Station. The room was beautiful and spacious with a fabulous bathroom.” May 8, 2008 by
Lars from Washington, DC
“Not very accessible via the tube but nice place.” Apr 16, 2008 by
Jaime from Shailmar, FL
“The Crown Plaza was better than I had imagined. Usually in London ( and most European Cities) you get a small room and small beds. This was set up like an American style room very large. The staff was great and they had early check in without any problems. Very close to the Underground (Backfires on the Circle/ District line). Only problem is that due to the location (the Business District) there is not many options for food outside of the hotel that are near. If you dont mind walking a bit go East about a mile. The Millennium Bridge will be on your right and the Wren (St. Pauls? Cathedral) will be on your left. There are some food options by the Cathedral and if you cross the Millennium Bridge (amazing views) and go to the left of Shakespeare's Globe; there are a few restaurants.” Jan 18, 2008 by

“What a wonderful way for two tired Aussies to finish off our stay in England with the last two nights at the Crowne Plaza London. Our suite was spacious, luxurious and very, very comfortable. All our needs had been anticipated. The king size bed was so comfortable, and the deep bath with the quality toiletries a definite winner. What a wonderful touch, also, the coffee peculator and the chocolates. Absolutely divine. I feel I must give this hotel a ten out of ten. We will definitely come again.” Jan 3, 2008 by
Faye from White Plains, NY
“Fantastic hotel, in a perfect location on the banks of the River Thames, near St Pails, Tate Modern and some fantastic restaurants at Smithfields. The staff where incredibly friendly and real helpful, even after we had checked out. The room was clean, spacious, and modern, with a very comfortable bed, with the luxury robes, slipper and Molten and Brown products in the bathroom; a perfect place for a retreat and to recover the pre-season blues.” Dec 26, 2007 by
Lisa from Largo, FL
“Hotel was great and close to attractions. Very comfortable bed.” Nov 29, 2007 by
Jessica from Houston, TX
“The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful from helping us check in and store our luggage, to finding us a great restaurant, to suggesting near by attractions. The room was clean, comfortable, and attractive. While I do not think the hotel was quite at a 4 star level, I was not disappointed at all with my stay. It was a great location, and there were no outstanding negatives to this hotel. I would stay here again.” Nov 28, 2007 by
Barbara from Saugus, CA
“The best hotel in London to stay if you are a tourist. This place was great. The staff are terrific they were so helpful and the nicest people and trust me I am not the nicest when it comes to poor service. These people where the greatest hotel staff I have ever worked with. I am a former business traveler and I rate this as one of the best experiences I have ever had. If you go out the front door and 15 steps to the right is the Underground transit system and trust me this is the only way to travel in London. Everyone helped us on how to navigate and we did not get lost once. English breakfast downstairs is good, it costs but if you bought their package they upgrade your room and give you club level. We took advantage of that because it gave you breakfast every morning and free drinks like soda water and snacks plus in the evening beer which if you drink even a few you get your money back considering a soda in pounds is like 7 dollars for u.s. Anyhow, bravo to Crowne Plaza London the city. We are recommending you to all of our friends.” Oct 8, 2007 by
James from Escondido, CA
“High quality hotel. Great staff. Fabulous location in the heart of London. Seconds away from the tube. Hotel greatly exceeded my expectations.” Sep 22, 2007 by
Marc from Glendale, CA
“I recommend it for someone who likes to walk. Not luxurious but comfortable. Construction noise was a problem for anyone wanting to sleep in.” Aug 20, 2007 by
Wayne from Sacramento, CA
“Very surprised. Clean, comfortable, good sized rooms, and in good location for sightseeing. Right next to tube exit, literally. Considering the cost of London, I got this at a good deal.” Jun 28, 2007 by
Todd from Strongsville, OH
“Excellent. Very clean and tastefully decorated. Upscale with a fantastic staff. The workout facility was excellent and uncrowned. I will recommend to all who visit London.” Mar 20, 2007 by
Travis from Apo Ae, NY
“The hotel is clean and the staff is very professional. The room was clean with plenty of pillows and towels.” Mar 7, 2007 by

“I have stayed in the Crowne Plaza London - The City on numerous trips to London. Each time I have been extremely pleased with the experience. The hotel staff is friendly, courteous, and eager to please. The location of the hotel is fantastic - just steps away from a tube station, and only a short walk from the River Thames, the Globe Theater, the London Eye, and other London attractions. The hotel is clean, attractive, and has a modern touch to it. I love everything about the Crowne Plaza London - The City, and I hope I can stay at this hotel for my next trip to London. ” Nov 17, 2005 by
Adam from Addison, TX
“Sorry, don't have time.” Jul 6, 2005 by
Jacqueline from San Francisco, CA
“Very modern hotel, huge comfortable room was pristine, staff exceptionally polite and helpful. Not for those seeking "traditional English ambiance" but otherwise a terrific hotel. Location in business area, short ride on tube or bus to tourist sites. Hotel's food pricey but good; lots of cheaper places to eat nearby. Tube station across the street, St. Paul's a couple of blocks away, Globe Theatre and Tate Modern just across the Thames.” Jul 5, 2005 by
Anne from Minneapolis, MN
“This was a beautiful hotel, very luxurious. London The City is vacant on the weekends because it is the business/financial district. The location was great to St.Paul's Cathedral, the Museum of London, and the Tower of London. Next to Blackfriars Tube stop. Would definitely stay here again!” Jun 8, 2005 by
Robert from Peoria, IL
“This hotel is a more modern business type hotel but located in the heart of London only steps from the Blackfriar Circle Line Station. Right outside the room was a major construction project however they did not work late or early and it was not a problem at all. In general for the price a great value.” Jun 2, 2005 by
Trish from Plantation, FL
“Located within steps of Underground, fresh, modern and spotless. Room was spacious and well equipped with the latest internet, and other electronic operations. Nice array of daily complimentary items, in-room. Hotel front desk staff, pleasant and accomodating.” Apr 25, 2005 by
Al from Irvine, CA
“Hotel was ok. But they din't include the complementary breakfast.” Apr 20, 2005 by
Nicole from Brooklyn, NY
“This hotel went far beyond my expectations. The location is great, the staff was terrific and the hotel accommodations were wonderful. I would recommend this hotel to my friends. We are returning to London in July and I hope to stay in this hotel again.” Mar 23, 2005 by
Julie from Washington, DC
“A 10 out of 10. Clean, nice and in great location!” Jan 14, 2005 by
Friedhelm from Hannover, GA
“Great Hotel, great location at underground and rail station and river. The rooms are large and excellently equipped for all that is needed in a Hotel. The staff is really great and make you feel very welcome!” Jan 5, 2005 by
Angie from New York, NY
“I think it''s a fantastic hotel with a great view. Unfortunately, it''s in an area that doesn''t have much going on after business hours. But it''s centrally located to everything with the underground right outside the hotel.” Jan 5, 2005 by
Bret from Houston, TX
“I recommend this hotel for its location. Food in the hotel is a little pricey. If you ask for an extra key, hold on to it, or the hotel staff will take it back when the room is cleaned.” Sep 24, 2004 by
John V. from Doylestown “The hotel was in the area I was looking to stay and I felt that it was a good value. It was clean and comfortable and I would stay there again.”
