• Hotel including room was very clean and comfortable.
• Everything very good but attitude at reception very cold and unwelcoming!

“Booking online very easy and directions good. For a one night stay the whole experience was very satisfactory. It was felt that a more friendly approach (and smile!!) from the reception desk would have made us feel a bit more welcome.”

• Comfortable clean adequate for our needs at a reasonable cost
• The room was extremely cold on arrival and then too hot after leaving the heater on.

“There were no problems the room was adequate for a one night stay and would have been happy to stay longer. Consistant temperature heating would be an improvement or for staff to ensure the room has been heated before arrivaespecially in the winter months.”

“Over all good. Had some difficulty finding the place and also were unable to get in contact as could only get the central booking information line which was closed. I know it was my error to have left the booking confirmation at home, but it was impossible to get in touch with the hotel direct. I think a more detailed directions map could help with finding the place.
There was alot of work being do at the hotel and I look forward to seeing the improvements should I stay again.”

• Inexpensive, good room size, convenient for seminar
• Hotel looks in need of re-furbishment, en-suite bathrooms worn and basic shower etc. Didn't use restaurant as expensive for type/quality of food.

“Adequate for the purpose of our stay one night prior to a seminar at a nearby hotel. Good value but basic standard, OK for a stop-over.”

• hassle-free and free of charge parking, good cooked breakfast, access to fresh air in room
• price of cooked breakfast. choice of free tv

“Would be good to have an ironing board/iron in the room - fitted if necessary. I take a travel iron with me when I travel - however couldnt easily use it without requesting the ironing board to be brought up to my room.

Otherwise very comfortable. Thanks”

• leisure facilities and en-suite

“It would have been nice to know the size of the leisure facilities before we booked but they were very enjoyable all the same. The room was comfy, the bed was huge and the hotel was easy to find.”

• The price of the room was very good.
• The price of a meal in the restaurant was quite expensive.

• Big rooms. We had 2 adults and 2 children with no problems. Very cheap rates

“I looked at Virgin at the same Hotel, dates, and number of guests and it was '560. We paid '240. Enough said!!!!”

• Cleaness, friendly receptionists
• coldness of room,bathroom , kettle plug fell apart, wanted a night cap, once returning to the hotel, staff sitting at table just looked at us and then ignored continued taking to people at table, breakfastexpensive

“On entering room it was freezing, folderway bed/chair unconfortable to sit and relax on, went to put kettle on, plug fell apart, bathroom freezing radiator not working, no bath mat for floor,bathroom old mildew around bath and toilet, if stay was more confortable we may have stayed for breakfast even though it seemed expensive,however the stay was not which did not give us confidence in paying 24pounds for two breakfasts.The bar staff ignored us when we returned to the hotel, could of acknowledged us and if no longer serving apologised and informed us instead of ignoring us.”
