• The dust, as they were remodeling.

“This hotel was more out of the way than any we stayed in in our 14 days in the UK, but the staff more then made up for the inconvenience. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and hope to return to Glasgow.”

“Great hotel, very hard to find the drive in entrance due to construction next door. It looked like a no-entrance driveway. Otherwise good location, comfortable room, but breakfast is a bit overpriced.”

• Very clean, large rooms with 2 queen beds, non-smoking, staff was great.
• Location was hard to find at first.

“The hotel was very cntrally located , within 10 minutes of the central train station and tube station. Short 20-30 minute walk to major shopping areas and galleries. Staff was very helpful. Hotel was clean with excellant facilities.”

“No matter how late I slept in my room was cleaned everyday. This is the best hotel I have stayed at in some time.”

• The location was right next to a train station and very easy to access.
• I would stay at this hotel again.

“The hotel was located next to a train station that made access around Scotland very easy. The room was standard, very nice, Marriott. Beds where comfortable and room was well appointed. The front desk was very helpful. We over slept on check out day, and went past the time we where suppose to check out and they where very kind about it. It does take a few days to get your sleep pattern established. I do suggest you get a wake up call.”

“The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were always clean and comfortable. The restaurant food was good but overpriced I enjoyed my stay and would want to stay there again.”

• Too far from city center.

“Excellent value, rooms are remodeled and only slightly on the smaller end. Very clean and a nice touch the coffee/tea in room. Staff was polite and friendly. There is a concierge. Many airline crews stay at this hotel thanks to its easy connection to the airport. Only negatives: about 15-20 minutes walk from the city center and hotel not located in a panoramic area. Definitely a good buy in Glasgow.”

• Thermometer in room broken, too hot all night, front desk not helpful, room key stopped working before checkout time and was blamed on "computer".

“Location great right off i25. Overall very clean. Dining for breakfast was pleasant, good buffet and friendly wait staff. Bed very comfortable however the temperature of room could not be regulated (broken thermometer?) and the front desk not helpful other than telling me how to use the thermometer, too late at night, midnight, to change rooms so opened a window and listened to freeway noise all night. Room key did not work at 11:30 a.m. even though checkout time was noon; this was blamed on the computer, had to wait for bellman to open the door.”

• Friendly staff, clean rooms, and good location. Highly recommend!
• Right off highway, surrounding area not very clean.

“The staff was great and easy going. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The bathroom was very clean, which is a big thing for me. The selection of television channels weren't very good, but I shouldn't have been watching television anyway. It was an easy walk to shops and restaurants and the train stations. Overall a great experience and we'd stay there again.”

• Hotel has very large rooms, at least compared to most others in UK and Europe.
• Location requires navigating the somewhat confusing one way road grid in central Glasgow if arriving by car.

“Hotel was typical Marriott quality. Comfortable beds (seamless) and nice bathroom. About 1 block to subway and 5 blocks to downtown. Very easy access from the m road.”

• Location is along outer edge of city center directly next to main freeway.

“The hotel amenities are as can be expected while the location near the edge of the city center nears the freeway is ideal for automotive commuters but not for people wishing to walk.”

• The staff was amazingly friendly and courteous. The pool area was nice, clean, and safe.
• Breakfast was a little expensive.

“I had a fantastic time. Very knowledgeable staff. Very clean. Great bartenders. Fast wireless connection. Close to Central Station and the amazing Thai Orchid. You can't go wrong with this hotel.”

• Nice decor, like Marriott hotels generally.
• Small rooms.

“Once you get used to the small size of hotels in Scotland, the Marriott is a very nice hotel. While the rooms are quite small, they are typically sized for Scotland. The rooms were well appointed, and the staff friendly.”

• Clean, easy to find, central.
• Difficult to get to the pool and leisure center. Mom thought the pillows were too big (they were just right for me)

“Well maintained, close to the train station, easy to find, on site parking. staff was extremely helpful. Nice pool, steam room. We enjoyed our stay here, would definitely stay again.”

• No internet, $25 breakfast without any alternative, small rooms.

“Not near normal Marriott standard. No internet except in public areas, phone did not work in room, too small for a double room, or even a single if one needs to work at a desk.”

• Staff was great, good location, quality.
• Air conditioning like most in Scotland was very poor. Don't stay here if it is warm out.

“Great site and staff, taxis always available. Superb room and amenities. But if it is warm don't expect help with cooling, like most in Scotland it is not good at all. If around 80 degrees outside I'd not stay here.”

• Staff were helpful and able to answer questions and even give advice.
• Restaurant staff were inattentive and slow. We waited for at least 15 minutes for our drinks after we ordered them.

“Road construction made accessibility difficult, but the facility itself was clean and comfortable. Hotel staff were especially helpful and attentive.”

• I felt safe, and it was a fair price, as Glasgow is quite expensive.
• Too far from the City Shopping and Train station.

“I'd not rate it as a 4 star, rather as a 3- star hotel.There was a coffee maker in the room, and there were two very comfortable beds. The bedspreads and general decor of the room was quite nice.”

• Area was about 5 blocks away from nice area. Area it was in was run down.

“We were very pleased with our hotel. It was within walking distance to shopping, rail system and tour buses. The employees were wonderful, always had a smile and willing to help. Though we didn't eat at the hotel, I was told the food was good. I highly recommend this hotel.”
