• The heat could not be regulated easily.

• The location was perfect. Right near tourist office, shopping, everything. Plus airport bus left you off within a minute of the hotel.
• The only problem was that our telephone didn't work and consequently we didn't get a wake-up call and missed a tour we had booked.

“Perfect location. Very cozy, clean and comfortable rooms. The TV channels were limited but beds were plush and comfortable.”

• The hotel staff was very friendly, accommodating, and ready to help.
• With the windows open, the neighborhood can be a little noisy.

“The hotel has a great location, on the top of busy O'Connell street. The rooms are adequately appointed. The staff is incredibly ready and willing to help guests.”

• Friendly staff & within walking distance to Dublin center.
• The surrounding area is so-so, appearance-wise.

“The staff was very helpful. Cassidys Hotel was among the best values we got in Europe. That was OK because we found that you can get an authentic Irish breakfast at a fair price at the quaint Kingfisher restaurant - just 1 block away on Parnell Street.”

• I rebooked 3 more nights after a tour and the room rate doubled!

• Staff were great, friendly, and helpful. Hotel and room was very clean. Comfortable beds.
• Thin walls. Noise from hallway and adjoining rooms. No fridge. Breakfast outlandishly expensive.

“Good Hotel overall. Fairly nice on the inside. Smallish room but on par with similar hotels I've stayed at in Europe. Above average friendliness and service from staff. On the edge of the main tourist area and sites. Area a little questionable late at night especially off the main street that the hotel is on, but never felt unsafe. Would return if visiting Dublin.”

• No sheets, just a down comforter.

“This hotel was exactly what I wanted to find in downtown Dublin. Every bus stopped right in front of the hotel, and the desk help was friendly. There are more spectacular hotels in the city, but Cassidy¿s Hotel fit my price range and expected level of cleanliness.”

• Rooms were fairly large.
• Construction going on next door.

“When we opened our blinds all we could see was a construction site. We were awoken each morning at 6:30 or 7am to the sound of jack hammers. I started each day with a headache. What a waste of money! The staff at Cassidy's said that they did not have any more rooms to move us. I will never stay there again.”

• It was convenient to transportation and shopping. It was very clean!
• It was further away from city center than others but not too far.

“Cassidys is a refurbished hotel on the very top end of O'Connell Street. The Airport Coach Shuttle drop-off is only a 1/2 block away and there are many shops, restaurants within walking distance. As a lone traveler I felt pretty safe and the staff was very helpful, even when something broke in my bathroom tub. They promptly changed my room without extra charge or delay.”

• good location, within walking distance of most sights
• The bathroom didn't work and for the first 24 hours I had do use a public rest room.

“The solution that the hotel chose for a failure of their plumbing was in adequate. ”

• Great location for exploring O'Connell Street in Dublin
• Breakfast was NOT included

“Nice hotel - clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location for walking to explore many of Dublin's attractions. Note - they did not include breakfast with our rate and it was expensive - 15 Euro each - for an average breakfast. I would skip the breakfast next time, but otherwise a good experience.”

“It is located in the downtown Dublin, so traficnoise are expected. Lobby, bar, and the restaurant are clean and lovely. However rooms could been better.”

• Very small rooms even for Europe. Also, the radiator only worked the first day!

“hotel shuts off heat and hot water 8 pm to 7 am cold at night and for a early riser its a nightmare.”
