• We were made welcome and looked after very well throughout our stay.

“Room and rest of house was of a high standard. Meals were served promptly and were delicious. Hosts were always helpful with their local knowledge.”

• the little personal touches (ferror roche on the towels, video/tv in the room)
• not near anywhere to eat dinner

“Really loved this place, like living in a relatives home. Very friendly owners. Lots of videos to borrow and magazines in the room.

Couldn't work out the heating, which was a bit annoying, but apart from that, a great nights sleep.”

“Certainly the best guest house I have stayed in. The owners provided everything the weekend guest would want. They even drove us to a restaurant instead of us paying for a taxi! The food was excellent - plenty of it with lovely touches such as home made jam and smoked salmon and scrambled eggs! The guest house was well placed for the tourist attractions of Bath - you needed the bus but the stop was just outside the door. Even though we were on a main road, we heard no traffic and everything was just perfect. Thoroughly recommend it.”

• Excellent room, particularly impressed with the videos/books on offer for your use. Breakfast fantastic, facilities fantastic.

“Lovely friendly welcome. Fantastic breakfast. Ample tea-making facilities. Iron/ironing board, tv and video (plus plenty of videos to choose from - free!), and books to read. Opportunity to take take-aways back and eat them in the dining room where the host/hostess will supply corkscrews etc! Excellent room and clean, and well-laid out en-suite. Large comfortable room tastefully decorated. Really can't praise this weekend stay enough. I would definitely recommend it to family and friends. Half an hour's walk from Bath city centre so absolutely ideal. Very very pleased with our stay - we'll be back!”

• Instructions on how to find accommodation were great.
• Wanted two rooms next to each other, but ended up with one on the ground floor and one on the top floor

“For 1 night accommodation great. One of the rooms was a bit small for two adults. The en-suites were very tight.”

• Family run, friendly, comfortable, inexpensive, near Bath City centre, good bus link. Staff helpful / welcoming.
• Shower was a bit disappointing!

• rooms were very clean and had lots of little extra's, able to walk into Bath, owners were very friendly and helpful. Would reccommend to friends
• Would have liked more tea bags etc in the room (maybe we should have asked)

“Forres House was much biger than it looks from the outside. The Owners are very friendly and helpful, the rooms were all spotlessly clean (we used 4 of the rooms). Nice little extras in the rooms, eg. video recorders, videos, and lots of books. The beds were very comfortable and lovely and clean and fresh. Would definately use it again and reccommend to friends. We (8 friends) had a lovely stay in Bath.”

• The friendliness of the host/s and the nearness of the hotel to a bus stop for easy transport into Bath. Lovely old house - great breakfast too.

“Forres House is easy to find sitting just outside Bath Central. There is a bus stop outside the front door (X39) that takes you straight into Bath (or Bristol if needed). The hosts are lovely and welcoming - the room was clean and homely, with nice little touches. Comfortable bed, and nice hot power shower. Breakfast was ample with sufficient choice, and very nicely cooked. Information on buses and other attractions was readily available, and there was a choice of videos for those wanting something more than tv. But with all the wonders of Bath - who would wish to either stay in, or have the energy to sit up and watch videos? We would definitely stay there again!”

• friendly comfortable clean very hospitable made to feel very welcome

“there was nothing for us to complain about. it is located on the bus route into bath which was very convenient and it was a short walk to the pub that was recommended us to go to. the pub was the dolphin and the food was excellant.forreshouse is a very welcoming place to stay and we would not hesitate to recommend it to others.”

“A very nice, bright couple runs this B&B. Both the room and bathroom were very comfortable and spacious. Plenty of parking nearby. Great cooked breakfast also. I would highly recommend!”

• Excellent breakfast, Directions to hotel very good.

“very clean and comfortable, the directions to the hotel were great as thry avoided Bath city centre. Breakfast huge and Julie and the cats made us very welcome.”
