“It's a beautiful hotel with a friendly staff at a great location.” Nov 27, 2005 by

“This hotel was fantastic. The lobby had clean, contemporary Asian decor and was very welcoming. The rooms were nicely furnished and the bathroom was immaculate. Complimentary fruit and bottled water were provided daily. It was great to return to this hotel after a day in chaotic Bangkok.” Nov 20, 2005 by
Cathy from Seattle, WA
“The facility was wonderful and located right in the mix. While I appreciate the climate of terrorism that we all live in, the drastic security measures at the lobby drive-thru really jarred my nerves. Theoretically, it should have made me feel all safe but in reality, it made me fearful.” 1 of 2 people found this review helpful.Jul 6, 2005 by

“Absolutely fabulous hotel, a true 5-star experience, in a great location) an unbeatable price. The food at the White Elephant restaurant was the best I had in two weeks in Thailand. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.” Mar 29, 2005 by

“Highly recommended.” Mar 24, 2005 by

“Excellent central location, nice pool (a little short though for lap swimming), nice room, good service, loved the cafe bakery. ” Mar 10, 2005 by
Anthony from Towson, MD
“After arriving at the hotel and attempting to check in, I was informed by the staff that the non-smoking king size bed I requested and later called to confirm was not available, in fact NO king beds were available, and that my girlfriend and I were to spend our last night together in Thailand on separate twin beds. Being 6'5, I don't fit on a twin bed. Only after raising a complete stink and asking for a phone to call the corporate Marriott Rewards number did they finally magically find a king size bed in the smoking area."” Mar 5, 2005 by
Arun M. from New York, NY

“If you want to stay in the Sukumvit area the JW Marriott is truly a 5 star experience. The rooms are spacious and well furnished. The staff was efficient and friendly during all interactions.” Feb 11, 2005 by
George from Boca Raton, FL
“Overall nice room, good value...however everything in the hotel is extremely overpriced. Walk outside to buy anything you need from a coke to dinner. Never could figure out why when you pay a high price for a room they feel they should overcharge for everything else as well. Also don't go to breakfast late as they will close the buffet promptly and bug you.” Feb 9, 2005 by
Don from North Ridgeville, OH
“The location of this hotel is very convenient. Easy to get to the Skytrain and pleanty of parking at the hotel as well for guests. The rooms are good in size and well appointed. The hotel is immaculate. The rooms, lobby and hallways are clean at all times. The housekeeping staff seems invisible..you never see them yet everything is done ina timely manner. This is one the best overall experiences I have ever had at a hotel. The combination of accommodations, facilities, cleanliness, and service are superb.” Jan 25, 2005 by
Ray from Kapaa, HI
“This is a very beautiful 5-star BUSINESS CLASS hotel that offers the ambience of a spa/resort property. ” Jan 19, 2005 by
Michael from Lakeland, FL

“Excellent hotel. Friendly, professional service, nice pool.” Dec 6, 2004 by
Dido O. from Minnetonka “The hotel was beautiful! The staff was helpful & curteous.” Dec 4, 2004 by
Sooil C. from Troy “Friendly welcome, no condescending 2nd class treatment, fruit basket in room. The hotel itself has been freshened due to the arrival of newer competitors such as the Conrad and Westin, notably with higher quality bedding, furniture, and amenities, and luxurious public areas reminiscent of the more expensive Hyatt's. The rooms, while comfortable and attractive, are not as modern as the aforementioned competitors, nor as large as the SGS. The gym is larger than any of the above, although its equipment is more worn than the newest hotels'. I prefer the JW's public areas to the Sheraton's overcrowded one, the Westin's overly stark one, or the Conrad's 'taller than wide' one. A small detail, but I was disturbed at 10am by housekeeping in spite of the 'do not disturb' lamp. Also, the admittedly nice slippers are not to be taken out (like the bathrobe), a rather cheap touch. TV is not flat.” Dec 2, 2004 by
Andre B. from Culver City “I hope my responses to the survey are clear. I rarely give such high ratings but I was truly satisfied and pleased.” Oct 6, 2004 by
Marcia K. from Estes Park “The J.W. Marriott is an exquisite hotel. The rooms are beautiful and the staff are attentive. The restaurants are plentiful within the hotel facility, and the food is excellent. Our stay there was very nice.”
