“Great location, exceptionally friendly and informative consigners. All the facilities under one roof especially the food courts downstairs, reasonable laundry facilities. This hotel has it all.” Jun 15, 2008 by

“All in all, and excellent place to stay in Auckland.” Mar 23, 2008 by

“The hotel is perfectly located in Auckland, close to Sky Tower and close to the harbor. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. The toiletries are nice also. Small issue with the concierge regarding a rental car not showing up was ultimately resolved by taking taxi to rental facility paid for by Rental company.” Jan 10, 2008 by

“We had booked 2 rooms for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids, as the hotel rooms in most foreign countries are quite small. However, we were very surprised to see such spacious room with large windows and ample room for luggage and even an extra bed. The facility was very new. The beds were comfortable. The rooms had all the required basic amenities. The hotel is located in a very central place close to many city's attractions, restaurants and shops, all in walking distance. The hotel even had a large laundry room with complimentary detergent. This helped us after a 2 week cruise vacation, where we could not do any laundry at all. The hotel also had a friendly staff and lots of information on sight seeing and tours. We will definitely stay at this hotel, when we visit Auckland again!” Sep 1, 2007 by

“Location is pretty good; plenty of places to eat nearby and it's just a short walk to Sky Tower. The rooms overall aren't bad, but I've stayed in other Crowne Plazas that had nicer rooms (such as Sydney). I'd classify these as a notch above average. But what I really enjoyed at this hotel was the service: concierge was excellent and helped us with everything we needed quickly, enthusiastically, and professionally. They did the usual tasks like booking tours, but also did things like dropped off our rental car for us and provided us with an American 110-volt adapter to charge our electronics' batteries (something a lot of other hotels couldn't provide, and their adapter was nicer than one we used at a five-star hotel later in the trip). Overall, a great experience and would recommend.” Mar 21, 2007 by

“Good location for exploring the sights of Auckland. Must be an independent traveler as the concierge help is minimal.” Dec 15, 2006 by
Mark from West Hollywood, CA
“Although it strays a bit far from Auckland¿s gorgeous harbor, this hotel lies hard by the central downtown shopping district; I loved that I could walk to the very hip high street shops in less than five minutes. Fine dining, the sky tower, the ballet, the civic theatre -- you can get to all of these within a 10-minute stroll. The staff is friendly, but the rooms, although spacious, look a bit shabby, and the pillows seem rather cheap for such a grand facility.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Jul 31, 2006 by

“It is within walking distance of the wharf and all the shopping and restaurants and some of the attractions. The concierge staff was very helpful with our plans. The appearance of the hotel was very nice, clean, new and modern. It was a nice place to come home to after a long day out.” Apr 25, 2006 by

“It is a great value in a very good location close to the harbor and the sky tower.” Mar 16, 2006 by

“Hotel is around the corner from the Sky City casino and tower. Easy to walk to. The rooms are very large, very modern and very clean. They have a movie channel that is free and runs 24 hours a day. Nice added feature. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I totally enjoyed my stay. Although the Crown Plaza is a very nice hotel once you are inside, the street it is on is not very appealing. It is a side street and almost looks like an alley.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Feb 2, 2006 by
