“Staff was excellent, accomodations were OK -nice. Bed was just OK. I stayed at the Airport Courtyard bt Marriott last timne and the Courtyard was much better with the same star rating. Food in the resturaunt did not have enough Western fare which would be a large part of the guests that I saw there. Hotel gets a 3 star.” Aug 20, 2008 by
Jacinto from Ames, IA
“Hotel has good facilities and location. Beware of unfriendly and unprofessional hotel staff.” Jun 7, 2008 by
Dominick from Danvers, MA
“Good people, clean, air conditioned rooms, wonderful restaurant.” Mar 21, 2008 by
Richard from Norwalk, CT
“This is nowhere close to the standard I am use to for CrownPlaza. This is an average hotel. I have tried the one at the airport and they are much better than this one. (Hilton and Sheraton) also be aware of all other fees: 15 min shuttle that you have to pay for (5Euro), 22 Euro for 24 hour internet connection.” Feb 20, 2008 by
Jlit from Fay, AR
“Stayed at the Crown Plaza for a one night stopover in route to Rome. Its a nice hotel, but inconvenient to both the city and the airport. They advertise a free shuttle to/from the airport, but try to charge 5 euro for the return.” Nov 8, 2007 by
Alice from Erlanger, KY
“Great for a short stay before flight.” Oct 17, 2007 by
Bob from Lawrenceville, NJ
“This is your basic airport hotel but some distance from the airport in the middle of an office building area. There are no other hotels or restaurants or stores nearby so they have a captive audience for breakfast. They have the temerity to charge 20 euros/person (about $60 for 2 for breakfast) which they said is "quite normal." well we had a super, complete lunch for 2 by a beautiful canal in Amsterdam for a total of 20 euros. They also charge 5 euros/person for a shuttle to the airport. Talk about taking advantage of their customers. The hotel is nice but I would not stay there again.” Oct 17, 2007 by
David from Whittier, CA
“The staff was friendly, but the room and location of the hotel were terrible. There was nothing within walking distance, so your pretty much stuck eating their unless you hail a cab and hopefully know where your going. Pet peeve: the shower had one of the most confusing knobs to operate a shower to the point where they actually have instructions printed on a tile next to the shower handle. That was a joke.” Aug 9, 2007 by
Laura
“This a was a fine and convenient airport hotel for our purpose of staying overnight to catch an early morning flight. My kids could swim and they offered on-demand movies. You will not likely want to eat in the hotel restaurant. Go into town.” Jul 13, 2007 by
Philippe from North Hollywood, CA
“Hotel is far from airport and not convenient to access particularly at night. It is misleading that they have marketed themselves as crown plaza schiphol airport. Rooms were not in good condition. Bed very uncomfortable. Would not recommend.” Jun 12, 2007 by
Guy A. from Simpsonville, SC
“Ok for layover in travel. Due to return shuttle fee of five euros, makes it an expensive stay for touring the city.” Mar 6, 2007 by
Vernon from Prescott, AZ
“A very good airport hotel.” Jan 30, 2007 by
Jerald from Plainsboro, NJ
“Excellent, I would recommend it.” Dec 14, 2006 by
Daniel from Seattle, WA
“Very low weekend rates can make this an attractive alternative to a hotel in centre of Amsterdam if one has a lay over or wants to spend a day in Amsterdam and has an early outgoing flight. The hotel is 10 minute walk to the train station (take extra change to purchase a train ticket from the vending machine) and about 30 minutes train to the centre. The shuttle on return trips to the airport runs on the half hour 6:00 am to midnight and takes 10-20 minutes depending on the traffic. Note '5,00 charge to return to airport.” Nov 7, 2006 by
Shea
“The facilities were great, but the location was not ideal. It was not easily accesible from Amsterdam city center nor the airport by affordable public transportation.” Jun 24, 2006 by
Janet from Centennial, CO
“This hotel is a well maintained older building that provides a nice atmosphere. The staff was very helpful in scheduling a tour that I wanted. I was disappointed with the 5 euro fee for the shuttle to the airport and the 2.5 euro fee for "toll free" calls.” Jan 11, 2006 by
Sandra H. from Oranjestad, AR
“I wish the shuttle start working at 5 p.m.” Dec 18, 2005 by
Paul from Henderson, NV
“A good hotel if you want to be close to Schipol. However, there are no restaurants or services nearby. Internet access is not in every room and is expensive. The they have a" free" shuttle to Schipol but charge 5 Euros to return to the airport!” Oct 19, 2005 by
Chris from Chicago, IL
“Excellent for business travelers that do not have to go to the city of Amsterdam. Too long of a commute for someone that wants to vacation in Amsterdam.” Oct 5, 2005 by
Michelle from San Francisco, CA
“Nice hotel but very expensive to eat or have a cocktail.” Aug 24, 2005 by
Judy from Lees Summit, MO
“This hotel appears to be well used but maintained adequately. It seemed very quiet and I wondered if there were lots of empty rooms. The location worked for us because we used the free shuttle service to go back and forth to the airport to catch trains to other areas.” Aug 3, 2005 by
George from Indianapolis, IN
“Very dissappointing for a 4 star hotel. The room was average, what I would expect at a 3 star. The amenities were nice but the cleanliness wasn't good. Overall I felt that I had a 2.5 star experience in a 4 star hotel.”
