“good hotel - modern and clean - nice neighborhood but a distance from sights. it would not be considered a 5* hotel in the US -a business man's and tour group hotel- but itwas quiet and comfortable. for the money, the Marriott is a better deal and should be the same * rating and is walking distance to sights.” Aug 18, 2005 by
Sandra from Claremont, CA
“The hotel and its location far exceeded our expectations. The room was very attractive and had a splendid view of the city. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and helped us become acquainted with the city. We love to return sometime in the near future.” Aug 4, 2005 by
Tom from San Diego, CA
“Between the friendly staff, the smartly appointed rooms, and the quiet and upscale area of the city, the hotel was a perfect 10. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.” Jul 27, 2005 by
Melanie from Burlington, WI
“Amsterdam Hilton had the friendliest staff I've ever encountered. The concierge even went to a store to buy my grandson diapers when he ran out. It is walking distance to the Rijks museum which also is a location to get the hop on hop off canal bus. Highly recommend” Jun 8, 2005 by
James from Dayton, MD
“A real 5 star hotel, clearly great for American businessmen, but you probably can't afford the XTRAS and everything is extra - unless you are on an expense account. But good location and no need to buy the extras at the hotel, go out on the town.” May 30, 2005 by
Charles from Longmont, CO
“Hotel was great. Staff excellent, facility modern and clean. Bed was great. ” May 26, 2005 by
Andrea from Williamsville, NM
“The hotel was in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. Again, it was not close to the action but was about a 12 minute tram ride. The staff is very friendly and their knowledge of the English language was very good. We had a very nice room overlooking the canal. We left a pair of trousers there and the housekeeping staff found them with ease and is returning them to us.” May 21, 2005 by
Earline from Danville, VA
“Located in a quiet neighborhood, you could not hear a sound at night. The staff was wonderful. Even though it was far from town, we walked a block and caught the tram so it wasn't a problem. We felt very safe in this hotel. I didn't even use the safe. I knew my belongings were perfectly safe and they were.” May 20, 2005 by
Daniel from Greenville, SC
“Great view if you're facing the canal, great breakfast buffet, and courteous service from all the staff.” May 15, 2005 by
Victoria from Westford, MA
“Elegant residential neighborhood, excellent location on the canal. Luxurious hotel, staff very courteous and helpful at all times. Highly recommended.” May 14, 2005 by

“What would be expected from a five star hotel in a major city!” Apr 25, 2005 by
Scott from Honolulu, HI
“The hotel is not in the center of amsterdam but there is a tram service which is two blocks away which runs to the center on a very frequent basis. They do rip you off for internet access. ” Apr 24, 2005 by
Tami from Oak Creek, WI
“We are definitely going back to Amsterdam! However next time, I think we are going to try getting a hotel a little closer to the center of the city. ” Apr 8, 2005 by
Christopher from Norridge, IL “Fantastic Hotel. Short walk to EVERYTHING that you want to see. 5 Star Hotel for 2 Star Price.” Apr 6, 2005 by
Diane from Batavia, IL
“From the moment we walked into the Hilton Amsterdam, we felt like we were getting the royal treatment! Everyone from the reception desk staff, bellmen, concierge, and housekeeping were friendly and very willing to help in any way they could. The location was perfect. It is in a very lovely section of Amsterdam with a small park across the street and beautiful homes nearby. Plus there was a wealth of shopping opportunities nearby. We were able to walk to all the places we wanted to see in the city--a big plus for us as we enjoy walking. Our room was extremely clean and I especially liked that rather than having a bedspread that wasn't cleaned very often, there was a comforter with a duvet cover that was washed often. The tub in the bathroom was superb--it was very long and deep--perfect for a relaxing bubble bath in the evening after a day of walking and sightseeing. This was definately a 5 star hotel!” Mar 9, 2005 by
Darshna from Arlington, VA
“It is a beautiful, secure hotel that, unfortunately, is not very popular on weekends. Thus, the hotel was minimally staffed and the coffee shop was not open.” Mar 2, 2005 by
Kevin from Mableton, GA
“Great hotel, but not convenient to downtown.” Feb 25, 2005 by
Gerry from West Chicago, IL
“First class hotel that is conveniently located to all important Amsterdam activities. In a safe area and very modern facilities for business travelers.” Jan 26, 2005 by
Sean from Holly Springs, NC “The Hilton Amsterdam exceeds all expectations. Not only are the staff and facilities incredible, but the view from the back of the hotel is picture postcard quality. Great experience.”
