• Very economical & practical - lovely tidy rooms, new hotel, nice staff.
• An in house cafe or restaurant would make this place perfect!

“My husband and I traveled from the UK and stayed in the Candlewood suites while visiting family in NJ. The hotel is new and in good repair, though the first room we were given (a studio) the heater was a bit noisy. The desk clerk immediately gave us a different room, and upgraded us to a one bedroom, which was very spacious and tidy! There is no room service or maid service, so if this bothers you it's not the place for you. We weren't bothered by it and found it very economical to shop for basics at a nearby store and cater to ourselves for simple things like tea/coffee & breakfast (expenses that can really add up while traveling!) An extra added bonus is that they have free washers and dryers so you don't have to take home dirty clothes! The room amenities are good, there's an iron/ironing board & hair dryer, plus one day's worth of toiletries & kitchen cleaning supplies. Parking is ample, and there are several major roads/highways nearby. Also shops, restaurants and entertainment - New Brunswick is only a stone-throw away, and New York a short drive or train ride. The staff is helpful and friendly, and after staying in places like the Hyatt for twice the price, I would not hesitate to stay at Candlewood again, it was a great value and great experience!”

• Our room was like an apartment. Loved having the kitchen.
• Located in an industrial park that at first felt kind of creepy.

“We were very pleased with this hotel. The apartment was nicely appointed with a terrific shower, nice towels and bedding. We liked having the gym, store and laundry available.”

• Location was convenient to major roads and venues.
• Nothing.

“The hotel is located in a convenient area, near major roads in the central jersey area that lead to all the major venues. But it is a bare bones residence inn type operation.”

• The room was really nice. Loved it!
• The room service for fresh towels and cleaning the room.

“This hotel was great, excellent! Loved the place! This place has all the amenities in the room and its bigger. The only gripe I have is the room service, No fresh towel and no room cleaning, only Saturdays! Need to clean the rooms every other day or something. But other than that is great place to stay in for the week.”

• The ability to buy food was great and the little kitchen area in the room was nice.
• One of the recommended food delivery services never brought our food.

“Nice hotel for the business traveler or anyone with a specific mission. We were visiting Rutgers so it was a good choice.”

• It had a free laundry facility.
• Our AC was not easily adjusted so our room was too cold.

“My husband and I both found the hotel to be great. Again, the only problem was that the AC was not adjustable. This was confirmed by maintenance and we were not even offered any other accommodations. It was late; we were unpacked so we did not bother to ask. But we were able to enjoy peace and quiet in a clean facility.”

• No free breakfast.

• I enjoyed the kitchen, everything I needed was available.
• I felt that the hotel itself was very far from local restaurants and stores for those who did not travel by car.
