Chuck from Las Vegas, NV
“Convenient, clean and has all the needed facilities. Dinner in the revolving restaurant was wonderful.” Apr 11, 2008 by
Jill from Marquette, MI
“It was great being right at the airport. Very comfortable beds. No fan in the bathroom. There was a $14.99 internet charge. Would have liked a microwave and refrigerator in the room.” Apr 1, 2008 by
Pam from Groton, CT
“The Marriott's are always a great choice. This is a nice hotel right within the airport and very convenient. It was also fun to browse the airport shops and have several places to choose to dine.” Mar 10, 2008 by
Carol from Cleveland, OH
“It was wonderful to be so close to the airport and still be so comfortable and well cared for.” Mar 3, 2008 by
Jana from Orange Park, FL
“They keep this really well maintained for a 40 year hotel, but it is definitely showing its age. It is probably experiencing some issues from all the construction at the airport, but it could use some major structure maintenance.” Mar 2, 2008 by
Matt from Somerville, MA
“This hotel is great for the cost and comfort. Not that great for those who are not traveling by airplane.” Feb 25, 2008 by
Mike from Comstock Park, MI
“In the morning you can hear the other rooms toilets flush, not just the room next to you. Internet is 14.95 + tax per day should be no charge.” Feb 24, 2008 by
Ariel from Andover, MA
“The hotel is outdated; the only good thing is that in the airport. It was convenient to us for that one night. I would not stay there again.” Feb 21, 2008 by
Vic from Mareitta, GA
“The first night we stayed there we had a problem. We could hear the people in the adjacent room very clearly. This problem was compounded by the fact that they stayed up very late. I was not too happy that we could hear them so easily and requested a new room. The staff at the hotel honored my request and placed us in better room with some upgrades at no charge. The staff at this hotel was great! We loved the new room and we loved the dining facilities. Next time we are in Tampa I will try to get this hotel again.” Feb 12, 2008 by
Bethany from Minneapolis, MN
“This hotel was PERFECT for my needs late night arrival of a tired but light sleeper. I would DEFINITELY stay here again; the convenience and comfort can't be beat.” Feb 11, 2008 by
Meredith from Jacksonville, FL
“The hotel itself was very nice - furnishings, rooms, staff, were all great. It didn't have complimentary hi-speed wireless, which was annoying. The major pain was its location, however - noise from the airport wasn't the issue, more so the pain of driving in & out of the airport several times per day.” Feb 4, 2008 by
Brenda from Vacaville, CA
“The Tampa Marriot at the Airport was clean and great for traveling. You could sit at the bar and watch people at the pool or have a great meal in the sky tower and enjoy all of Tampa as you rotated.” Jan 31, 2008 by
Jeanette from Haverstraw, NY
“Excellent place to stay for convenience and proximity to airport. Restaurants, amenities, location, and hotel cleanliness a plus. Nice pool and comfortable bed. Great place to stay in Tampa!” Jan 30, 2008 by
Lindsay from Orlando, FL
“It is a very nice hotel. For being a 3 star, I thought they might have a refrigerator though.” Jan 30, 2008 by
Vounder from Plant City, FL
“The hotel is rated 3 stars. It doesn't make sense that there are no DVD players in the room or at least build into the TV. I explained to the manager I was told that you offer a DVD rental, however, when I checked in they stated that there are no DVD players to rent. I was receiving conflicting stories. The manager did not charge us, which I was grateful. They rolled another TV with a DVD player into my room.” Jan 23, 2008 by
Betsy from Sarasota, FL
“Check in was great. When I call desk for information, they answered with my name and were prompt with answers. Everything except the checkout was wonderful. When I checked out, the clerk didn't know how to process it and had no help. I had no extra charges through out my stay on the card, but when I returned home, my card had been charged again. It took several phone calls ( and a lot of my time) to hotel and bank to clear it up. If not for that my stay was perfect.” Jan 5, 2008 by
Susan from Crystal Lake, IL
“Nice facility, but had to go through the airport for everything. Hard to keep tabs on teenagers.” Jan 2, 2008 by
Donna from Plantsville, CT
“Being in the airport was ideal for immediate check-in; hotel staff was exceptional throughout stay including room service.” Oct 8, 2007 by
Tom from The Villages, FL
“I would recommend it highly.” Oct 2, 2007 by
Kevin from Sturbridge, MA
“Can't beat the location if traveling to Tampa.” Mar 19, 2007 by
Tom from Miami, FL
“The guest rooms are very nice and the front desk staff is very friendly. The formal dining room is very nice, but the casual dining room is not open for dinner. There is a charge for internet access, but the airport offers free wife a few feet away.” Feb 22, 2007 by
Brenda from Sleepy Hollow, IL
“This hotel is very easy to find in the airport. This is great for a person on a business trip. My husband and I liked having the bar down stairs to have a few drinks without having to leave the hotel.” Jan 8, 2007 by
Thomas from Spring Hill, TN
“This hotel has beautiful public areas, a very nice cocktail lounge, as well as several very good restaurants. This is very convenient for traveling as the hotel is literally in the airport; however, for the leisure traveler it is the last place you would want to stay. Because of Tampa¿s infrastructure, it is not economical at all to stay here if you plan to venture off from the hotel. A mile cab ride to restaurants and entertainment was bucks one way. Car rental isn't much easier. Getting to the hotel by car is very tricky and you either have to pay for valet or pay for short term parking in the airport garage and walk to the hotel, as there is no guest parking available. The amenities and the room were great, and surprisingly quiet considering the proximity to the airport. I recommend for business travel, but not if you're going to any area sporting venues or amusement parks.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 22, 2006 by

“Great Hotel. Very helpful and accommodating staff, will stay there again if I'm in the area. You can watch the planes land and take-off, but you can't here them inside.” Jun 20, 2006 by
Mindy from Columbia City, IN
“My family was on vacation, so I was disappointed to be placed in an airport hotel. While the room was nice, it didn't have a refrigerator, safe or anything needed for more than an overnight stay. The pool and hot tub were pretty basic, and the water was extremely cold in both the first night we were there--though the hot tub was hot the next night. Location and amenities are appropriate for a vacation.” May 24, 2006 by
Diane from Long Beach, CA
“The hotel is in a fantastic location saving me 2 days car rental charges. Walking from the gate to your room is absolutely fabulous. No noise from the airport and the beds are extremely comfortable. Room service was quick and the food was good. I will stay there every time I go to Tampa.” May 21, 2006 by
Gail from Clearwater, FL
“Great for business traveler that is traveling late-right of the plane, in room in 20 minutes from arrival, bed super comfortable, room quite and latte in the morning. Great hotel.” May 8, 2006 by
Schan from Marietta, GA
“Tampa Marriott airport was a very nice airport hotel. There was no noise from the airport. Location by airport was ~15 minutes from Tampa attractions. Very quiet, clean and luxurious (plush comforters and pillows, nice robes, good furniture,...) hotel rooms on concierge floor. Staff worked with us on special requests.” Apr 7, 2006 by
Brenda from Tallahassee, FL
“I didn't think I would be placed inside the airport, where traffic was a bit hectic getting in and out. However, the hotel staff more than made up for it, giving me free appetizer coupons etc. They have an excellent revolving restaurant over viewing the runways at airport, and the beds were just heavenly!” Apr 6, 2006 by
Angela from Tampa, FL
“I have used your service before but this was by far the worst experience that I have ever had and I am not sure if I will attempt this again.” 1 of 2 people found this review helpful.Apr 5, 2006 by
Denise from Naples, FL
“Very comfortable, nicely appointed, and conveniently located for easy access to the highway. With its location at the airport, anything you might need is within walking distance, without even going outside. As a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe and pampered.” Apr 4, 2006 by
Shelli from Zionsville, IN
“I would recommend this hotel every time!! The staff was friendly and curious They accommodated us with our bed needs without any problem. Beautiful hotel and very handy when flying into Tampa.” Apr 1, 2006 by
Alexandra from Panama City, FL
“I was very skeptical when our hotel ended up in the airport. What a great surprise. The hotel was wonderful. Very luxurious and very convenient to local attractions. Parking was even free. Our room even had complimentary fresh fruit, bottled water and 3 newspapers delivered to our room. No issues with planes. They seem to stop flying after 9 pm. Great restaurant upstairs and some fun shopping in the very modern airport. Linens were awesome as well as bath products, from Bath & Body works!” Mar 31, 2006 by
Robin from Nyack, NY
“I thought a stay at a hotel in the airport would be inconvenient for a leisure weekend, but this was not the case. It was easy to drive to and from, parking was convenient and included with the price. It was easy to find, just follow directions to the airport. The room was large and very comfortable.” Mar 30, 2006 by
Jamie from Port Charlotte, FL
“Greeted by friendly hotel staff, beautiful open lobby with access to the airport gift shops and dining. Late checkout of 12 noon. Nice rooms with fun airport runway views. Comfortable bedding. Downside is that any extra amenities are not included (i.e.. local calls, breakfast).” Mar 29, 2006 by
Dona from Bradenton, FL
“The bellman Charles was fantastic. Very helpful and explained about the restaurants and where everything was located. Never had anyone ever taken the time to do so at any hotel. The lobby was beautiful so was the pool and workout room. The hallways were pretty and our room was very nice. The beds were comfortable as your other hotels. If you had feather bed also I would have never wanted to leave. The bedding is quite cozy though. The room service was so good. The staff was friendly and professional. We had a late night meal Saturday with Pizzas and salads and chips. Very good. Our Sunday breakfast was so good. Everything was top notch. Fresher than making it yourself. The foods they use are organic and it shows in the presentation and the taste. Just over the top good. We will want to come back. We stayed over for our Busch Garden trip. I did a search outside that area and would have never thought we would have had such a nice, beautiful place to stay. ” Mar 28, 2006 by
Shota from Coon Rapids, MN
“The room wasn't particularly clean; the room was dark, insufficient lighting and a light bulb burned out; the staff was slow to respond. The continental breakfast was nice and the staff members were friendly.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Mar 26, 2006 by
Dave from Chula Vista, CA
“Airport exceptional convenience, room nice but no refrigerator or cooler inside. No free business center for computer access. I prefer to use hotel cart to carry in our luggage or hotel would not allow it, and were insistent we utilize their bellhop (which mandated tipping him, of course). I find that offensive.” Mar 14, 2006 by
Rick from Shelby Twp., MI
“Convenience for air travel good, comfortable, good food, friendly, helpful staff.” Mar 11, 2006 by
Melissa from Lebanon, OH
“After finishing a marathon, we stayed at this hotel for the location. The staff treated is like kings and showed a lot of genuine concern and compassion. The rooms were very nice and the hotel was extremely quiet given the location right next to the airport. Two thumbs up.” Mar 9, 2006 by
Pat from West Allis, WI
“The rooms were beautiful, with feather beds that just made you melt and bath and body works toiletries. The rooms were quite quiet considering it is in the airport and watching the planes take off and land was a blast. The swimming pool was very clean and warm, the deck area had plenty of lounge chairs and food and beverage service. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely stay there again.” Mar 9, 2006 by
Alina from Miami, FL
“Very convenient for people who need to be near the airport.” Mar 6, 2006 by
Ken from Tryon, NC
“For travelers needing a TPA airport location there is simply nothing better than this, steps from the main terminal attached by a corridor (no need for a shuttle). Rooms are beautifully renovated and luxurious, and the beds are sumptuous. Food in the restaurants is excellent, and I would certainly stay there again.” Mar 3, 2006 by
Cindy from Shawnee, KS
“I was unsure of what kind of accommodation I would have not knowing anything about the hotel. I was very pleasantly surprised. Definitely stay at the hotel as well.” Mar 2, 2006 by
Eric from Hollywood, FL
“First requested a smoking room and did not get it. Second, the staff is continuously brushing you off when you have a problem. Call and complaint about beds. Lots of feathers were on the bed cover and they were poking through the sheets like needles. Had to order an extra blanket, which was not in the room, to put over mattress so I can get a decent night sleep. When I complained about it in the morning they told me they knew about the problem but still let guests sleep in the bedroom. The service in the cafe or bar downstairs was terrible, they basically threw the plates of food on the table when they served. What pisses me off, I called Marriott customer service to complain about the room and nobody called me back.” Mar 1, 2006 by
Carol from Flippin, AR
“Lovely, friendly and convenient. Very nice.” Feb 24, 2006 by
Rachel from Fryeburg, ME
“This was an excellent hotel - great location, rooms, employees, great food at the restaurant. Very clean, very comfortable bed. Great bathroom, water pressure, hot water, etc. I loved it all around!” Feb 24, 2006 by
Anne from Chappaqua, NY
“Very convenient, but the hotel needs some updating.” Feb 23, 2006 by
Jennifer from Ashburn, VA
“The Marriott Tampa Airport is clean, comfortable, and extremely convenient for travelers. Our room was small, but nice. It looked as if it had been remodeled very recently. Surprisingly, we hardly noticed the airport noise. We were able to check- in over two hours early even though the hotel had been full the previous night. There are many convenient dining options in the hotel and the adjacent airport. Parking is free for hotel guests. For an early flight out of Tampa, you can't find a better hotel. We were at our gate less than 20 minutes after checking out.” Feb 18, 2006 by
Steve from Melbourne Beach, FL
“The hotel was fine, but I didn't like being on the airport grounds. It really upsets me to have to pay for internet access. Most properties offer it for free. I will never stay there again. I used to stay at full service Marriott all the time but I don't anymore. Not only are their prices high, they get you for every extra imaginable. IE local phone, internet service, parking etc. Ritz Carleton does the same thing but the service and immunities are much better.”
