• Wish the restaurant served lunch.

“Location was close to a vaiety of restaurants and stores. Staff was friendly. We were allowed privacy and not disturbed while we leisurely got ready for the day. Loved their homemade cookies!”

“This hotel caters to business clientel. Good breakfast on the weekdays, bad on weekends. The room was nice, avg. size. Could use more vanity accessories (like shower) cap. Staff was friendly.”

• I felt it exceeded my expectations of 2.5 stars
• The directions were incomplete and very difficult to follow, we got lost.

“The hotel was much better than I thought it would be. The service was good and the room very clean. It was very hard to find according to the "get directions" link on the website, but other than that it was great. It was a long way from where I wanted to be, but it was still in San Diego.”

• Great location. Free breakfast with cash bar every night.
• Not an abundance of different places to eat that were close.

“This hotel was located out of the main stream of every thing so the Hotel overall was not busy. We were within 25 minutes of all the Amusement Parks etc. I would stay at this Hotel again.”

• Pretty good breakfast buffet on weekdays, not so good on weekends

“Wouldn't stay there again for that price. pool was in disrepair, it felt like there was broken glass in the hot tub. most of the amenities that are listed on the website are not actually available, or you are charged for them. this hotel should have better service for how much potential it has.”

“The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, and they did not charge extra for ammenities such as a roll away bed, bottled water in the rooms. We needed to fax a document and the front desk did it for us at no charge. This saved us having to go somewhere and find a fax service and pay to have it faxed. The room was large and comfortable. We were very pleased with this hotel.”

• They had a wonderful deluxe complimentary breakfast.
• The room was not cleaned well. Filthy carpets, and greasy marks on furniture.

“I would not stay at the hotel unless it was totally redone. The upolstery was very stained and and also the carpets. The pool and spa were needing help. The coating around the spa was chipping up everywhere, and the bottom of the spa was filthy. The only thing that I thought was great was the very nice complimentary breakfast. It was very good. The employees were also nice.”

• The location near Miramar Marine Corps Air Station was just what I wanted
• The phone system for desk , room service, wakeup call was not working

• Even though the hotel was far from downtown, it was in a nice and safe area and close to the highway
• The pool and spa could use some repair and clean-up

“Good deal for the money. Wish it was a little closer to the action, but it was close to the highway so the 20 mintues drive wasn't bad at all. Overall a good buy. They have a great breakfast buffet. Too bad the staff didn't inform us of it (and the fact that it was FREE). We didn't discover this until our last day. Overall though, decent place. I'd stay here again for the same or lower price.”

• Breakfast was real good,a lot of selections,my daughter and her family enjoyed the swimming pool.
• No one notified us that ,they had changed tha name of the hotel

• The only 2 things is that their room service menu is quite short (I paid $15 for a individual size pizza)& pool/excersice room closes too early

“The room was great, the suite" was small-they wouldn't allow a roll away bed because it was too small. The pool and excercise room closes at 10pm, too early. The room service menu was too small, about 5 choices ranging from $7 to $17But the $7 was a pizza and it ended up costing $15 due to room service fee, gratuity fee-but the bad thing about that is it was just a idividual size pizza, not even a basic "small" pizza. Other than that, the room was nice & clean"”

• The staff accommodated our request for a specific room type.
• The first morning, I came across three or four plates at the breakfast buffet that were dirty.

“Efficient and friendly staff who accommodated our request for a non-smoking room with 2 double beds. We really appreciated the extras provided at no charge like apples at the front desk, bottled water in our room and free wireless internet. We were also surprised that breakfast was included in our rate - the scrambled eggs, fresh fruit and waffles gave us a great start on our day!”

The grounds looked well kept & beautiful, and we loved the free breakfast in the morning. We would love to stay there again on our next trip to San Diego. It is also close to freeways too.”

“Nice location, quiet. Less than a mile from highway exit, but not too close. Furnishings seemed somewhat old amd moldy, especially the carpets and curtains were really drab. But free breakfast was really good, lots of choices. Free parking. Friendly staff. Restaurant on premises, another Chili's nearby.”

• Room pleasant (other than bath) and clean. Very quiet! Free Breakfast! Friendly personnel
• High Speed Internet not working, Visible mold in shower. Faucets very loose on sink. Furniture stained

“A late check in did not present a problem. Desk personnel were attentative and friendly. Overall the hotel is very impressive for a 2.5 star. It was clean and quiet. Bottled water for two awaited in the room. Other than a problem with the included high speed internet, staining on the furniture upholstery, some visible mold in the shower and loose fixtures on the sink our room was clean, enjoyable and homey. Actually better than some 3 and 4 stars I have recently stayed in. A great bonus is the buffet breakfast in the lobby. A complete all you can eat meal with all of the extras, kept fresh and hot. Check out was a breeze. An easy 8 out of 10 points in my book.”

• Expensive restaurant but a Chili's close by

“The Prime Hotel will soon become a Country Inn and Suites. Under the current ownership, it is a nice hotel with amenities standard for its star rating. The beds were comfortable but not exceptional. We didn't have maintenance issues or use room service, so our contact with the employees was minimal. The only minor annoyance was that the maid did not leave additional soap and shampoo the second day even though we tipped well.”

“This is a nice hotel in a business district. It was 15 minutes from Sea World and 10 minutes from the beach. Overall it was a nice hotel in a decent central location. Keep in mind it is primarily a business hotel.”

• The hotel was in a business district but it is geared towards the business traveler.

“For what we paid for we got a lot. The staff was extra helpful. When we asked for a good restaurant they not only gave recommendations they printed off directions to make sure we knew how to get there. The hotel was about 10 minutes away from the beaches and downtown San Diego. I will definitely stay at the Prime hotel if it's available on our next trip.”

“Prime hotel has all the features I look for in a hotel. Parking is free in ample availability around the hotel, there is a restaurant, bar, pool and spa on the property. The rooms are clean and roomy with stylish modular furniture. The work station includes a very nice Herman Miller chair and free wireless internet. A daily paper is delivered, and bottled water is supplied. Prime is located just blocks away from the freeway, and there are many shopping centers and restaurants within a 3 mile radius. Overall I rate Prime a great hotel for business travelers.”

• Decent room layout: spacious, comfortable with small sitting section seperate from sleeping
• Bed mattress mediocre quality, shower head too low for tall people, no regular stair access forces guests to wait for slow elevator..

“Overall the hotel is very nice, clean and comfortable. I did not eat at the restaurant but each morning the enticing aroma in the hotel lobby made the restaurant seem very inviting. ”

• Easily accessible from the freeway, clean, corporate location, and located right next to a popular restaurant (Chili's) for further convenience.

“The hotel staff was friendly while the premises were well groomed and clean. The rooms were fairly large and had a well laid-out desk area for work or reading. The hot water in the shower came on fast. A framed picture in the center elevator was hanging loosely and upside down due to a broken nail, but it appeared to have been fixed by the next morning. Nevertheless, a solid 3-star hotel.”

• The staff was pleasant & helpful. The lobby was beautiful.
• The carpet in our room was gross. The showerhead had a leaking crack.

“This hotel was impressive in the main areas as I would expect for a three star. I was not as impressed with the rooms appearance. The room was roomy and comfortable with conveniences for the business traveler; nice office chair at table, dinning chair and also a comfortable sitting chair. It was hard to look past the yucky carpet with discolorations.”

• This hotel was worst I have ever stayed in - no shower head, no iron, maid missed cleaning my room one day - and the GM could have cared less.

• We have never heard of the Animal Kingdom Lodge.
• The microwaves on the floors were filthy.
