• Conveniently located, near convention center. Free fitness center. High ceilings and tall windows. Friendly staff.
• Across street from convention center but didn't have door opening that way, had to walk around corner. Nuisance in inclement weather.

“Convenient to convention center and the rooms had 12 foot ceilings with 10 foot windows. Beautiful city lights at night.”

• Very clean and modern; there was a rubber duck in the bathroom.
• The bed and furniture were a little bit too firm to be comfortable.

“Clean and modern hotel in a convenient location; close to bars and restaurants, as well as theater. Parking is somewhat inconvenient if not using valet, because the nearest garage is about a block and a half away. Given the price, quality, and location, I would stay here again.”

• I liked that the hotel was clean and the staff was friendly.
• I didn't like that it didn't have a pool.

“The hotel was perfect for what we needed. My husband, 4-month-old daughter and I needed a hotel to stay at while we attended a function at the Omni William Penn. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel as well as the friendliness of the staff. They were also very helpful. The rooms were very quiet and nicely decorated. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.”

• Emacculate and very modern. The decor was very nice and clean!
• The shower made an extremely loud drilling sound the whole time it was running.

“This hotel comes highly recommended in my book! We were celebrating our engagement, and there were plenty of unique restaurants and lounges around it, to do so! Felt safe at all times.”

“This is a wonderful hotel for the price. It's in Downtown Pittsburgh near all major attractions. The rooms are exceptionally nice and comfortable. It is way beyond my expectations for a 2.5* hotel. Free Internet and printing is a great touch. Valet parking is a bit expensive (which I did not use) but the hotel is willing to recommend public parking alternatives (which I took advantage of). There is no pool however so if you wish to swim you're out of luck.”

• Hotel Shuttle to the arena was very convenient.
• Long walk from elevator to room.

“Overall I would recommend this hotel to anybody especially if they had to be in Downtown Pittsburgh. The staff was helpful with the valet parking and the shuttle.”

• Valet parking is expensive; hard to find street parking.

“I would definitely recommend this hotel-rooms were in mint condition and beautifully furnished. Lovely lobby and restaurants. The staff was very professional and friendly. Great amenities for business travelers. Everything about it was eye candy. I should know... I'm a decorator.”

• Attractive lobby and room; outstanding friendly service.
• Cost of parking/tipping valet (probably unavoidable in Downtown location).

“Located in an older Downtown hotel which has been happily and attractively updated for ambiance and convenience. Walk able to most Downtown attractions. Located near Subway. Excellent friendly and knowledgeable service from staff. Rooms spacious, attractive, and offering common amenities - coffee service, internet, etc. Very pleasant stay.”

“A staff recommended us to go to the ice rink and a big Christmas tree. It was a wonderful place, so my children enjoyed very much. We could go on foot. The staffs were so kind and the hotel was so cozy. Except expensive valet parking, I love that hotel.”

• The location is brilliant and oh so walk able in regards to Downtown Pittsburgh.
• Though the room was relatively spacious, it still was aesthetically ho hum and too practical and the back alley view did not help.

“Location, location, location rules all. Though it lacks the old world charm of its city peer, the omni William Penn hotel, this hotel does not disappoint. The lobby is decked out in an urbane modern, holiday sensibility yet the layout and aesthetics are neither nothing radical nor too Innovative. No points taken off here.”

• The room was really nice. The front staff was friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was decent. The internet service was a dream comes true!
• The bed itself felt damp. The Kiosk to replace pamphlets was not very helpful and did not contain the areas we were looking for.

“This hotel exceeded our expectations. There were a few set backs, and the cost of breakfast was high compared to the quality or service and the food itself. Over all this was a very nice hotel and the staff (especially the front door staff) were very helpful and informative. I would stay at this hotel again if I was ever going to Pittsburgh!”

• It was close to the Pirates Ballpark and close to downtown.
• The elevators were slow.

“The only issue was that the hotel checked a family into my room by mistake that should have been checked into another room. I opened the door and they were leaving. I was stunned.”

“I liked the hotel, but I would recommend it for business travelers or two adults. Having two older children constantly wanting to spend 2 dollars for a can of coke which was expensive, and the parking fee was ridiculous.”

• It was very contemporary, clean and attractive. Very comfortable and easy to work in the room.
• I generally prefer to self-park but, the valet parking was just fine.

“Very convenient location to a number of business and cultural venues. I thought the contemporary decor, furniture and fixtures added to the experience. My room felt spacious with very tall ceilings and I was very comfortable working in my room.”

• I have no complaints.

“For the price, this is the best hotel I have ever stayed at in Pittsburgh. It's much less expensive than all of the other high-priced hotels, yet it matches everything they have. I recently stayed at the doubletree downtown and would say that this hotel surpasses it in every way.”

• The staff was fantastic.
• The room's bathroom had hair all over the floor.

“The staff at the hotel was warm, welcoming and helpful. There was a major storm occurring when I arrived, and no one seemed concerned about getting home as much as they seemed concerned about how we, their clients, got in. It was an exceptional experience, especially considering the poor weather conditions (it had snowed most of the day, and it had begun raining coating everything in ice).”

• No smoking rooms available.

“For the smoking traveler there is no availability of smoking rooms. They put us on the third floor that opens to the outside courtyard, but the courtyard is only open from 8am to 10pm. It is a secure area and no reason that it could not have been open at all times. The smoker in my room had to stand out front of the hotel on a downtown street. (Not that safe) if non smoking rooms are all that are offered, they should provide a safe area that is for smokers only.”

• Bar closed early, smoking room only one available at check-in.

“Located in the hub of Pittsburgh the hotel offers immediate relief for the traveler. The curbside valet parking and accommodating staff provide quality service; the on-site lounge quenched the thirst after a day of shopping and site seeing.”

• Free shuttle, location, new and clean, friendly staff, lovely room.
• One of our shuttle drivers drove like a maniac.

“Five-star location, beautiful room, yummy cookies! The free shuttle to downtown areas makes this a natural home base for sightseeing. We didn't encounter any other families, just business travelers, but that didn't pose a problem. the only drawback was the lack of a grocery store nearby, but that's true for all the downtown hotels. very worthwhile. A lovely place.”
