• Rear entrance is a nightmare. Go through the front door.

• Was in our favorite area of town; easy to navigate to our chosen stores from there.
• Parking was awkward - once inside you were turned around & couldn't easily figure out where car outside was parked.

“Room & bath were spotless. Plenty of nice linens. HDTV was nice. Recliner was nice. AC worked wonderfully.”

• The room was quiet and clean.
• There was no additional bed for our disabled child. We all three had to share a queen size bed.

“The room was quiet, clean and fine for two people. However, there was not an additional bed or cot for our daughter. Getting sufficient rest was not possible.”

• Clean, honor system store in lobby.
• Only one small bed. No rollaway available. Slept on floor.

“Front desk staff not friendly. Trip was during inclement weather and the sidewalks were covered in ice. We alerted the front desk staff and they did nothing to make it any safer. Room had only one small bed, and we unexpectedly had my 3 year old with us. I asked the front desk for a rollaway, and was told they used to have one. I slept on the floor that night so my wife and son could sleep in the bed. At least it was clean.”

• Cleanliness was lacking; dead bugs in room.

“Apparently the hotel had sprayed for bugs prior to our arrival and had not cleaned up adequately afterwards. We discovered approx. 6 dead crickets around and under a corner chair in the room. Because of the color of the carpet, we didn't notice them until our last night there.”

• The room was a good size and it was nice having a TV with a VCR and DVD player.
• The trash hadn't been emptied before we got there and there was no housekeeping available for us.

“For the non-particular and just needing a place for a short stay, this hotel will fit the bill. I'm not sure, but we didn't get a thank you for staying with us when we checked out.”

• Had a separate bedroom. Manager gave us a free upgrade.
• It was being remodeled and smelled bad.

“Candlewood is in a similar class to Amerisuites but not as spacious. The kitchen was nice but lacked many utensils. Overall a good experience.”

• Spacious rooms.
• The first room assigned hadn't been cleaned, but we were reassigned quickly.

“The staff was eager to accommodate our needs. They suggested eating places nearby. We only needed a bed in which to sleep overnight. This was a stop-over on our trip, but this hotel fit the bill quite nicely. I would be willing to stay longer at this hotel, if coming to ok city again.”

• Animals were allowed, cats sit in windows, and carpet in hallway was ragged.

“There were two large dogs in the room by us and cats were everywhere. The general upkeep of the lobby and hallway did not appear clean.”

• The staff was excellent.

“We checked into the hotel when it was pouring down rain. The front desk person on duty helped us with our bags-which were considerable. He got us a rollaway bed and some laundry soap so we could wash our clothes. I would come back to this hotel because he was so nice and helpful.”

• The bed was wonderful, it allowed smoking, and you can also borrow movies to watch from the clerk.
• It did not have an extra bed for my children to sleep in. I had to put them in the floor.

“It was very nice and the employees were very friendly. However, I didn't like the fact that it did not have double beds. The bed was wonderful though.”

• A little difficult to find the main entrance when first arriving.

• The kitchen amenities and honor market were wonderful!
• I liked it all.

“Wonderful place, especially if you want to "eat in." convenience all around. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a room for 2, I have no idea what the larger "family" rooms are like, but, we'll plan to find out in the future!”

“Due to the bad weather this hotel was booking up fast and was becoming full. The front desk clerk was helpful and nice with the high stress she was under. The rooms were also clean and spacious.”

• Our room had a full kitchen.
• No daily maid service.

“I would not stay at candlewood suites again for two reasons - first, the rooms have no daily maid service, so the dirty towels and garbage piles up. I pay to stay in a hotel so that I can get basic daily services in my room, such as garbage removal and fresh linens. Second, they have no complimentary breakfast. Candlewood suites were a little cheaper than other suite hotels, but it's because you get less for your money.”

• The bathroom was extra large, and bath towels thick! Good Suite motel.
• No king size beds.

“This is definitely a place we would stay again! It's very convenient to a large variety of restaurants and I-40. A full kitchen too! Loved the "honor" grocery store within the hotel/motel.”

“It was awesome. It had a full kitchen with everything you need to cook with. Has a recliner and a good size table for eating or business. Overall, it is a good hotel. If you are too busy to leave because of work their is a canteen. It also has a laundry room plus a Gym.”

• It was very late when I arrived. The doors were locked and I had difficulty getting inside to register.

“Excellent accommodations for any one traveling by the interstate system. Very close to the interstate exit/entrance ramps so the motel was very easy to find. Clean room, friendly customer service people at check-in and out, and the motel is situated very close to many well-known restaurants.”

• I always like the homey atmosphere, free movies and kitchenettes.
• We ran out of toilet paper and had no wash clothes, but I did not go to the desk to request more.

“It is a great place to stay. It is quiet, and homey. I like being able to cook things instead of going to a restaurant. They also have very nice DVD players and cd players and free movies and cds to borrow during your stay. I always like staying here.”

• The fully equipped kitchen would be great for an extended stay.

“We asked to be moved to another room because our room was hot (3rd or top floor) and was told none were available. The carpet, chairs, bedspread, and linens were all worn out! The elevator smelled like urine. I would never, ever recommend this place to anyone traveling until they clean it up.”

• The rooms were clean and convenient for single occupants.
• Having two beds in the room was not an option. I slept on the recliner, my 2 children on the only bed.

“Convenient for business travelers, not families. Single beds only offered in rooms. No option of one for children and one for parents. Promised roll away bed from front desk never showed up. Did have clean bathroom, main room, and convenient small kitchen.”

“You do not ask whether two beds are required. I do not wish to share a bed with my 81 year old father nor my sons. You ask number of adults but not number of beds. We got a rate of $35 which was great, but to upgrade to a room with two beds was additional $20. Not good!!!”
