• The room's toilet was old and did not work properly; the lamp and phone did not work. Room smelled like cigarette smoke.

“The staff needs to be trained to provide better customer service. They do not have a business office like other hotels do. The gym is very small so more than 2 people fit at a time. The rooms are small. My room's phone did not work, the lamp did not work and the toilet did not flush properly. I would not stay there again.”

• The price was low and they offered free shuttle service to the airport.
• Cigarette odor in the room and cigarette butt on the floor.

“The hotel was adequate and that was about all. The room smelled of smoke and a cigarette butt was lying on the floor below the AC. There was also a track-trailer sitting outside our room with the engine for several hours in the morning. They did have a free shuttle to the airport and a free shuttle to the Bart stop at the Colosseum.”

• We were very surprised with the quality of the hotel and hotel rooms. The staff was accommodating. They had a shuttle to take us to certain locations.
• Nothing.

“We were very surprised with the quality of the hotel. The hotel staff was very accommodating and polite. The hotel has a 24 hour shuttle to take us to and from certain locations. Which was very convenient because we didn't have to drive around an unfamiliar city.”

• The breakfast allowed us to get together as a group in relaxed setting.
• Many rooms Smokey; hallways very Smokey.

“The hotel staff was great and accommodating; the continental breakfast had good variety and very clean; it was close to the freeway and many restaurants. But you need smoking rooms in a remote part of the hotel, as we had to change 3 of the rooms and the hallways were very smoke filled.”

• The room was clean. Had fridge, micro, Wi-Fi, shuttle service and nice people.
• The neighborhood was scary.

• The shuttle service.
• They did not have our reservation, we did not get the room type we requested, 3 people, one bed.

“The staff was very friendly. The accommodations were not the greatest. The first night we stayed in a non-smoking room, and the hallways and room reeked of smoke - that was very disappointing. The second night (3 days later) they had no record of our reservation and could only provide a tight room with a king-sized bed for 3 adults - it didn't work very well. There was a roll away, but it was terrible. So we tried to work all three of us in the bed - that wasn't so great either.”

• The room, the pool, the convenience to airport.
• The automated machine near our room that talked- woke me up at 2 a.m., lack of decent restaurants.

“This hotel is conveniently located near the Oakland airport. It is nicely appointed and has a great outdoor pool. I'd stay at this hotel again, but I'd order delivery from the room menu. The restaurants nearby that were open consisted of Denny's-type and fast food. The talking machine just off the lobby was too close to our room, so just ask for a room down the hall. There are two gas stations near the hotel for gassing up the rental cars. One was a debit card place that was a bit unfamiliar to us. We ended up using the regular gas station.”

• Eddie at the front desk was so slow. Not great people skills.

• Very dirty from renovation, wall is very thin.

“I stayed the night before and after my trip. The first night was a weeknight, and although the place was quiet, the halls were filthy with bits of flooring and carpeting from their renovation. Vacuuming of the rugs happened late at night when I was trying to sleep. The second night occurred when I arrived from New York at 1 am. It was a Saturday, the night before an Oakland raider¿s game located .5 miles away. The whole hotel was noisy until 4 am - the walls are so thin that I could hear everything that was going on around me. I didn't call management to calm everything down because there was so much celebration by raider nation fans all over the hotel. I just regret that I was in that hotel that night and that the walls had no soundproofing whatsoever.”

• A 10-minute walk away from the Coliseum BART station (making it easy to travel to San Francisco).
• The toilet didn't flush properly and the stopper in the bathroom sink didn't work properly in the first room I had.

“A pleasant surprise. It definitely offers value for the money paid. I plan to stay here again.”
