• The staff at the lobby bar and the bellman.
• Sad to say but I saw some roaches the bar that needs to be taken care of immediately.

“Great hotel with lots of surrounding amenities easy access to freeway and plenty of great places to eat minutes from excellent shopping mall. We came to go to the Memphis in May festival, but enjoyed the hotel convince so much we only left to go shopping or eat, all the other time we enjoyed the lobby area, the pool area and the gym.”

• Lobby loud from due to a Prom.

“Overall cleanliness good. Helpful and friendly staff. There was some type of dance/prom going on there which was quite a spectacle in the lobby upon arrival. Room and decor was clean and updated. Nice place.”

“The bed was very comfortable but when I turned it down and got in, there was dirt and a hair (not mine) in the bed. Housekeeping had to come and change the sheets. She couldn't believe what she saw.”

• Beauty of the facilities, comfort of the beds.
• The ridiculous price of internet service and in-room movies.

“Beauty and comfort are excellent. However it was ridiculous to charge $10 per night for wireless internet service. This should be furnished free. Also, a free continental breakfast would be desirable.”

• I loved the view of the pool and the fountain with ducks and a gazebo.
• There was a problem with our shower; internet would not work in room.

“Modern design, comfortable beds, all the conveniences of a modern hotel. Multiple outdoor pools and hot tubs, indoor pool, fountain and gazebo fun to watch while getting ready to go out at night. Close to good shopping and good restaurants. Safe neighborhood with patrolled lot.”

• The hotel was very nice and had a wonderful bar downstairs. The rooms were very nice and updated.
• I did not like that the outside of the hotel was had a missing window/mirror...which was covered by a piece of plywood...not a good first impression.

“If you don't want to be near downtown and are looking for a nice hotel to stay, this is the one. Try not to pay attention to the exterior. The inside is quite nice. Everyone was incredibly friendly and ALWAYS willing to assist! Beautiful service and everyone was always smiling! I'd stay there again!”

• Beautiful hotel, lovely restaurant, perfect.
• The only thing I can say is that it is located a good distance from the things we were there to see, we don't care. The hotel was awesome!

“As you would expect, this is a first class hotel. Our rooms were perfect, the beds were so comfortable. The lobby is modern and classy. Outdoor hot tub and pool which we didn't have time to use were nice! All of the staff was awesome. Awesome hotel.”

• Broken tiles and frames, request for queen/king bed not met. Had to stay awake a lot to keep the little kid not to fall off bed.

• Room decor and comfort.
• Having a bar located in the lobby and visible as soon as you enter the hotel lobby.

“Excellent. I really enjoyed the stay and wish I had a longer stay. I like the flat screen TV. but wish there were a larger channel lineup. Only one drawback, I requested a king room and was given a double but we made do since it was only three days. Overall, a great stay. I will be back.”

• This is a beautiful hotel and most staff very helpful.
• Not a big selection on the restaurant, very pricey and not so great service!

“Told staff at front desk it was our 5 yr wedding anniversary, staff didn't offer so much as a 'Happy Anniversary'. Bedroom not equipped with sign for extra towels. Room service was expensive, lots of extra charges just for bringing it to the room. I implied to the cashier at the restaurant that the food was better than the service we experienced and she said she would have a complimentary breakfast certificate sent to our room, it never came.”

• Noise from hallway, expensive convenience store.

“Very nice hotel. We were surprised at the level of noise from the hallway and highway traffic. We were on the 11th floor, so, view was nice. Room was decorated well and was fully functional. I appreciate the flat panel TV that allows AV inputs to be used.”

• This Hilton was spectacular and I am now looking forward to travel more. My young kids think that we are rich.
• Outdoor, unheated pool.

• Not very close to Downtown, but I knew this in advance.

“Everything was clean and spotless. Good customer service, beautiful rooms with fabulous, comfortable beds, great bathroom, and large floor to ceiling windows with great views. Good location too many things in Memphis, with the exception of Downtown. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone.”

“Room was not made up by 2pm though we had been out of the room for hours before that. There were a lot of people there, but never felt over-crowded. The I-240 exchange was an accident magnet so lots of sirens outside hotel. Beautiful facilities though and very cool round floors!”

• Walls/doors are paper thin, very noisy while in room.

“Hotel was very nice, rooms were large. Only complaint was that walls / doors did not provide any sound proofing effect at all. Hallways and adjoining rooms supplied excessive noise, hard to sleep.”

“We were sent to a smoking floor to a smoking room. They moved us to a handicap room, You could hear pans banging, people talking etc. also, the shower was just a shower. No kind of bathtub available. These were the absolute worst nights spent by my family.”

• I waited two hours to check in after arriving at 3:00pm. The room had only two towels.

“The hotel was not efficient and unable to even estimate when my room would be ready when I arrived at 3:00pm for check in. I waited for two hours before a room was ready.”

• The location was excellent, in a nice part of town.
• The lobby was always hot (temperature).

“Our stay at the Hilton was excellent. The rooms were nice and updated. It was noisy with the soccer kids next door, but that was expected (we understand as we have basketball kids that attend out of town tournaments). The staff was nice, parking was good. Location was central to many eateries, etc.”

• Rooms were beautiful, and every staff member was pleasant, and helpful.
• Nothing, it was great.

“I booked this hotel room for a week too late. Once I arrived, and they couldn't find my reservation in the system, we realized my error. Samantha, the front desk supervisor, took excellent care of us and fixed the reservation for us. Everyone on staff, from the front desk, to the bellman, to the restaurant staff was so nice and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel to any travel, and will return if I'm ever in Memphis again.”

• Noisy, so much window space in the room it had a lot of outside road noise.

“Clean rooms and great staff. Ice machine did not work on our floor and finally found one that did 4 floors up. Room was hot and would not cool down even though the thermostat read 65 degrees. The carpet was well worn and could have been upgraded.”

• The room was fantastic! Did not look or feel like a Hotel. Very comfortable.
• Not a thing! Everything was spot on.

“This is one of my favorite hotels. I love this hotel! From the moment you enter, you know that it is going to be a wonderful experience. The lobby is absolutely beautiful. The staff is friendly and professional. And the room is fantastic. Flat panel TVs, desk and office chair, easy chair, and fantastic bed! I would stay here over and over and over again!”

“Although the Hyatt was lovely, the room was not ready when we arrived at 5:45. Many groups were waiting. The staff did not offer much in the way of explanation, just that the housekeeping staff was slow. We finally gave up waiting, ate at an area restaurant and came back at 8.”

• The location was excellent for getting to the highway.
• The beds were full, not queen, and no refrigerator or microwave in room.

“While the room was nice, it was quite small with no amenities. The ice machine on our floor was not working. I was first assigned a room that was already occupied, though this was remedied immediately (to much embarrassment to the occupant I am sure). The restaurant did provide free pots of coffee in the morning. There was only one sink.”

“Outside of the toilet running all night (which they fixed). I would recommend this hotel. They need to work on there food. I ordered a steak from room service, and it was tough as shoe leather.”

• Superb quality to accommodate us.
• Made didn't replenish coffee service, but if we had called and asked, they would've sent some up.

“The Hilton is Memphis, is an excellent choice. Its a bit tricky to get too, because the main road, Poplar is divided into two, one-way strips. To get to the hotel, you have to go under a bridge - it took us two times around to get there, although you can see it, so you know you're close! The woman checking us in, was very accommodating and helpful, even though I extended our stay by 1 day, they made the check-out and check back in process very easy. Hotel was immaculately clean, doormen and bellmen, very friendly. I felt safe here in the area. They have a beautiful large pool and gazebo - nice grounds.”
