“This hotel provided everything we needed for a casual trip to the area. We did not spend a lot of time at the hotel to really see all it had to offer.” Sep 6, 2008 by
Valerie from Scottsdale, AZ
“This hotel was very convenient and close to the airport. This hotel would be ideal if the tenants thought a bit more about the other guests.” Sep 5, 2008 by
Lois from Olmsted Twp, OH
“People were friendly and cooperative. The room was clean, comfortable and homey. I liked the idea of having a small kitchen which came in very handy. The bed was comfortable and clean and the bathroom was immaculate. I didn't have to worry about a maid knocking on the door at odd hours either. I liked just taking my soiled linens to the front desk and having them exchanged. Nice atmosphere, nice area, very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this chain to friends and family.” Aug 14, 2008 by
James from Bassett, VA
“This was by far one of my best experiences in doing so. The location was nearly perfect, with the hotel located only a block or two away from the light rail station. This allowed us easy and inexpensive access to Baltimore and many of its attractions. The staff was very courteous and very expedient in addressing our needs and answering our questions. They were very knowledgeable about the area and were able to provide directions. The room itself was very spacious and comfortable. The overall value of the hotel vs. the price is very difficult, if not impossible, to beat. I'd recommend this hotel to anybody.” Aug 9, 2008 by
Don from Sedona, AZ
“This property was perfect for myself as I was there on business. The proximity was super, place was clean and staff accomodating.” Aug 7, 2008 by
Kim from Thurmont, MD
“Hotel & room was great. I really needed the airport shuttle service that the hotel provided to have more convenient, reliable times. Shuttle service did not begin until 7 PM. Upon my return back to BWI I waited 30 minutes, and a shuttle never came to the airport. I had to end up spending money for a taxi to and from the airport. Very disappointing.” Jul 27, 2008 by
Mary from Green Bay, WY
“The Candlewood is a great place to stay with your family. The room had a kitchen, and the facility had a clean laundry room that also contained items to purchase such as food or things that may come in handy.” Jun 30, 2008 by
Steve from Nelson, BC CA
“We had a late flight arrival and found there was no shuttle, so had to take a taxi to hotel, checked in about 1 am. Nobody on duty so they have a mysterious, but functional self check in. Apparently for security, but the hotel door was unlocked. Lobby area somewhat institutional, halls didn't appear very clean, but room was okay. In the morning used fitness room, which had an excellent multi-station machine. Desk staff seemed unfriendly and uninterested in helping guests in general.” May 21, 2008 by
Ashlyn from Temerpanceville, VA
“Candlewood exceeded my expectations by a long shot with the location, cleanliness, and size of the rooms. It was a wonderful place to have a little get-away and relax. It is an excellent place I was very pleased and will definitely stay there again.” May 10, 2008 by
Raye from Snow Hill, MD
“It was easy to find. When I arrived, I was greeted promptly and my room was amazing for the price. Big fluffy bed, soft sheets and pillows. The were many cable channels to choose from and the kitchen was a huge plus.” May 7, 2008 by
Mark from Conley, GA
“The hotel was easy to find in a great location and close to both restaurants and a movie theater. It provided the perfect location to accommodate all the wish or choice to reside there.” Apr 22, 2008 by
Tyler from Elora, ON CA
“I was booked into a smoking room and told there were no non smoking rooms. I am not a smoker and found this quite unacceptable. However the rooms are a nice size and offer the convenience of an in room kitchen.” Apr 7, 2008 by
Skip from Bountiful, UT
“The room was well laid out and comfortable. The front desk clerk was excellent and always called me by name when I came in for the night. I would definitely stay there again.” Apr 1, 2008 by
Susan from Baltimore, MD
“This is an extended stay motel. There is no free breakfast. Rooms have a well-equipped kitchenette. Coffee for in-room coffeemaker is only for the first day, after that you need to buy your own at their store -- 75 cents per package. There was no luggage rack in the room - staff told us to use the table and/or chairs -- so how do you eat breakfast if the table and/or chairs hold your luggage. Also, no maid service unless you stay for a week. Room had food on the floor from a prior guest -- behind the nightstand (we had to pull out to plug in medical equipment. Would not like to stay at Candlewood again!.” Jan 28, 2008 by
Henry from Baton Rouge, LA
“My family and friends were located near Linthicum so the location was perfect. It was a great price and a great place to stay - even for one night. I had to move nearby to the Microtel.” Jan 13, 2008 by
Karen from New Windsor, MD
“Nice, clean, worth the money, spacious and comfortable accommodations. Great for a stay with kids. Very clean. All the comforts of home.” Dec 4, 2007 by
Robert from Fairfax, VA
“Very convenient, affordable and friendly staff.” Oct 15, 2007 by
Bruce from Wilton, ME
“While the hotel is set up for long-term stay, with the suite style kitchenette, the bed and sofa bed were both comfortable. Rooms (kitchen, living, bath and bed) are spacious enough to be very comfortable too. I would absolutely use this facility again for travel to Baltimore, while using BWI Airport. Free shuttle runs to Light Rail system.” Oct 10, 2007 by
Venkat from Cary, NC
“Worth the price we pay for the rooms.” Oct 4, 2007 by
Pete from Wilmington, DE
“Surprisingly modern, room had kitchenette and coffee shower and bathroom pleasant. Clean and good-working order. No must or mold.” Sep 12, 2007 by
Joseph from Morrisdale, PA
“I and my wife liked the room and the rooms were quiet no out side noises even with an airport close to it the beds could have been softer, but we like soft beds over all it was a nice place to stay If we go back to that area we will try to stay there again.” Sep 12, 2007 by
Dale from Calvert City, KY
“First and foremost the bedding situation was terrible. Bed was uncomfortable, and had only 1 bed rooms. The roll away was terrible too. No housekeeping, they come only 1 time a week. If you want cleans towels, you have to go get them. Front desk was closed when we arrived. They have some ridiculous auto late check in. Terrible hotel experience.” Aug 15, 2007 by
Gary from Jamestown, NC
“Good value for the money. Clean and quiet. I would stay there again.” Jul 2, 2007 by
Charles from Arlington, VA
“When I arrived, after flying all day, the one room they had left had no air conditioning, and it was late in June in D.C. area, very warm. Management never returned my calls. No functional front desk. I had to wait for an on-call housekeeper to come to check out the airconditioning. She told me it was so hot in there that she would not stay in that room either. The hotel told me that I had to find another hotel, at my expense, at 1:30 a.m., because they had no other rooms available and they had no way of direct billing another hotel back to them to accomodate me, since they had no more rooms. This was a nightmare. All of the hotels they sent me to (driving around for hours) were also sold out. I finally found a hotel, at my expense, at 3:30 a.m.The lobby was dingy and dumpy, and the room looked more like an very economy hotel rather than two stars. It also smelled like smoke. To this day (almost a week later) the hotel manager has still not returned my phone messages.) This was a dumpy hotel with poor management. I would never stay in this hotel chain again.” Dec 30, 2006 by
Billy from Franklin, OH
“I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Baltimore area. It has a kitchen which will cut costs of dining out for those with children or those on a budget as we were. My wife and I travel a lot to Baltimore to visit the kids and grandkids and will use each time for the best value.” Aug 21, 2006 by
Daniel from Grand Rapids, MI
“We were pleased with the accommodations, and the staff was friendly and helpful. They comped our taxi expenses during our stay, because they did not have an evening shuttle driver, which I found very thoughtful.” Jun 4, 2006 by
Cindy from Pitcairn, PA
“It worked for what I needed.”
