• Price!
• Poor signage and loud neighbors.

“The hotel was at full capacity and had too many rowdy guests. Not family friendly with that type of clientèle. Facility itself was nicely appointed.”

• The room smelled smoky - especially for a non smoking room.

“The service was great. The staff was friendly. It didn't quite feel as though it was quite a 3.45 or 4 star hotel, but we definitely enjoyed our stay.”

• I liked how close this hotel was to Kauffman stadium. So convenient!
• The ghetto Denny's across the street was the nastiest place I've ever been.

“My fiancé and I stayed at this hotel while we were in KS for the red sox game. It was a very nice hotel, and the staff were absolutely amazing. Right across the street from the stadium, and they even provided us with a free shuttle service to and from the game. Great value for the money! The room was nice, although with the new energy saving, heating and air conditioning system we had trouble getting the room to the temperature we wanted, but this wasn't a big deal! The room was big, and they had really nice furnishings.”

• Newly remodeled decor. Lobby was very comfortable.
• Control of air conditioner. No comment cards in room.

“Personnel very nice. Restaurant manger came by to check on us. Decor very inviting. Internet was available. Very clean room. Enjoyed our stay.”

• The staff remained pleasant throughout our stay even though they appeared busy.
• We were never greeted by a waiter in the restaurant and he seemed annoyed that we seated ourself. There are no in-room fridges.

“Everything about the hotel seemed new and well-maintained. The staff was courteous, pleasant and provided answers to our questions. While my wife and I were there for a 1 night stay, we could of easily brought our children and stayed awhile longer.”

“Hotel was overcrowded when arrived. There were close to 50 people sitting/standing out front smoking when arrived late in evening. Only had rooms with 1 bed for 2 adults and 2 children. 1st room did not even have enough room for rollaway bed. Moved to 2nd room and it was better, but still very noisy. Desk person did remove charges for rollaway from bill due to taking over hour and half to get to us.”

• Sometimes had to wait for front desk staff.

“Attractive and clean. Plenty of extras. Free shuttle to KC sports stadiums which were just across the highway. Attached indoor water park and game room would be great for families.”

• 1 room was dirty when we checked in - debris in bed.

“1 Room was dirty when we checked in, but they responded quickly to make it right. They worked to give us adjoining rooms during a busy time for the hotel. Though it is effectively geared to either business / conference travelers & families visiting the Coco Key indoor Water Park, they also meet the needs of those who are not eventually.”

• Common areas were not kept up that well.

“The common areas need some sprucing up. There was 2 squares of toilet paper in my room when I went in for the first time and I had to call twice to get a new roll. The location was good for our purposes.”

• Location near Kaufman Field was amazing and free shuttle service was great.
• We had to order a cot for $20 as there were no double rooms available.

“Fabulous location for sports fans. Free use of computers in open setting business center. Free parking. Pool area was conveniently located and conducive to family fun.”

• The hotel was nice, comfortable.
• Lacked a room refrigerator.

“The hotel was very nice. I loved the fact the elevators were very speedy. The room was one of the nicest I've stayed in. However, I was disappointed that it didn't have a refrigerator or microwave. Even the cheapest hotels I've stayed in have had a small refrigerator. Having a Starbucks and Pizza Hut on site was pretty nice. The breakfast at the hotel restaurant was decent. The eggs tasted like sponge and OJ was extra pulpy but the muffins and other items were pretty decent. The worst part of the trip is Monday morning before my business meeting there was no hot water so I had to take a cold shower. It definitely hurt my opinion of the hotel.”

• Nice rooms, but the front desk was not very accomodating.
• The pool was cold and the hot tub was broken.

“This hotel boasts an indoor water park, which was closed. The pool was in disrepair, there was lights that had come out of their sockets floating in the pool. My husband made them get out of the pool, he did not feel it was safe. The hot tub was lukewarm at best with no bubbles. Maintenance had been called and when they arrived they did something and then they pronounced it will warm up in about an hour and left. Still no bubbles and it was very disappointing.”

• Parking can be horrible with stadium traffic.

“Excellent hotel. Great breakfast buffet. If there is a baseball game at the stadium, the parking can be a hassle. People use the lot because its free. Would be nice if they could somehow reserve some spaces for guests.”

• The location of hotel was perfect.
• Unable to get AC in room to set correctly.

“Check-in to hotel was quick and room was great, the only drawback was that the room temperature could not be controlled as it was either too Warm or too cool. Maintenance was called and they did nothing to AC other than to tell us the Air was on.”

• Comfortable be; starbucks coffee in room and in lobby.
• Internet service was difficult to connect to; internet service cost extra - even the most modest chains have free and easy internet these days.

“Three bulbs were burned out one left with no bulb, I stuck my finger in the socket trying to turn the light on. The sink had no plug you had to hold the drain open for the shower/tub to drain. There needs to be some serious checking of the rooms before people stay in them. There was also hair in the bathroom.”

• Charging for wireless internet access.

“This hotel charges $9.95 a day for wireless Internet access. Upon arriving at the hotel I told the clerk I only wanted it for one night, since it was the only night I was going to be in my room long enough to use it. I made 100% sure the clerk knew what I wanted, but they ended up charging me for two nights of wireless Internet access anyways. To me charging for Wi-Fi is nickel and diming. The walls at this hotel are paper thin. You can hear everything going on in the hallway, or in a room next door. God forbid you have a room by the ice machine, or below the top floor. If you stay here bring ear plugs.”

• We enjoyed the restaurant. All the employees were very nice and accommodating.
• It was very hot around the hotel. The AC in our room was broken. Housekeeping did not change the sheets, and we had to call to get fresh towels.

“Overall the hotel was very nice. We would definitely stay there again. I would like to bring the kids to play in the water park. It was rather hot in the lobby and our AC did not work very well. Housekeeping does not change the sheets while you are there. Several times we had to ask for clean rags, because they did not replace them when they picked up the dirty ones. When we arrived our room was missing a remote control to the TV and a hairdryer. However, when we asked for anything they brought it right up and were very nice about it. The food in the hotel restaurant was very good. We also enjoyed having a Starbucks in the hotel.”

• Over 15 minute wait for elevator! Walked twice from 10th floor!

“Nice room with comfortable bed - clean. Kids running around all day and all night, evidently they like to hit every floor on the elevators, which hotel staff told us was the reason for the wait - and I was told that a 15 minute wait for an elevator was a short wait!”

• Everything was very modern and clean.
• The pool was outside.

“It was a nice hotel to stay at and the location was convenient. I didn't like how the pool was outside or you can pay to swim in the little water resort for kids. The breakfast buffet was expensive at $10.99 a person. There also was an event going on at the hotel that had a lot of people wandering around. My husband and I didn't get much sleep because people and kids were yelling down the hall, slamming doors shut, opening our door, and making a lot of noise. We heard them and the children all night. I think we got only 4 hours of sleep.”

• Very clean room.
• The bath room was very small.

“Very clean and friendly hotel. There were very few guests on the night we stayed there but they put us in a room that was designed poorly. The room itself was large but the left over space for the bathroom was very poor. There was only enough space for one to be in the bathroom at a time. The sink was in a corner offset from the mirror. A very poor design. There was really no reason to assign us this room.”

• The plumbing wasn't the best- tub was clogged, toilets filled slowly, took too long for hot water.

“For no longer than we were there, it seemed like a nice place, wish we would have gotten there earlier in the day to enjoy the pool or water slides. We were only there long enough to sleep and leave.”

• It was convenient to downtown Kansas City which is only 10 minutes away. Close to lots of attractions.

“Conveniently located just outside of downtown Kansas City, the hotel is easily accessible off of the I-70. It's clean and the staff is friendly. Both Kauffman and Arrowhead stadiums are just down the street. All the attractions of the KC area are just a few minutes away. It's the 2nd time I've stayed here and each time I've been happy with the experience.”

• Very clean and comfortable. Bar mixes good drinks.
• No assistance when shuttle service disappeared.

“Shuttle service disappeared after dropping us off at game. Left us standing in rain for 2 hours. Multiple calls to Sheraton resulting in no help. Finally had to find own way back to hotel. There were about 20-30 people that had to do the same.”

• Walls were thin, could hear room next to us early in the morning and housekeeping vacuumed nearby for 15 minutes was loud, wish walls were better.
