• The room was beautiful but I couldn't control the room temperature, so it was very hot.
• The hotel atmosphere was crazy! There were children everywhere and making noise. I was awoken at 1:00 in the morning because of children who were yelling!

“To whom it may concern, do not stay at this hotel. There is so much chaos it is impossible to get a good night sleep. I am not sure what was going on but there seemed to be children everywhere and all times of the night making noise. I was not pleased wit the Sheraton and had a horrible night's rest due to the inability to control the room temperature.”

• Nice rooms! Cool water park and arcade.
• No free breakfast, not enough surrounding restaurants, just Dennis or Taco Bell.

“Nice clean, spacious rooms. Friendly staff. Nice arcade. Close to major attractions, even if you are not going to a game at the stadiums. Only downside was the lack of restaurants nearby. There is Denny's and Taco Bell but I would have liked more options.”

“I called the hotel to complain about the safety of the water park. The lifeguards were just goofing around and not paying attention. The public restrooms just outside of the water park were very dirty.”

• Our room temperature was not adequate.

“We were here 2 yrs ago and returned due to the location. To our surprise the rooms have all been upgraded! We enjoyed how quiet our room was, however, we were there when temp. Was 105 and most of the rooms were not comfortable inside.”

• The bed was very comfortable.
• There were no luggage carts available and the staff was not helpful when we asked where to find them.

“We were very pleased with this hotel. The kids loved the pool and the room was very nice. The staff wasn't too helpful when asked where we could find a luggage cart. All they said was that they had twelve. Twelve didn't seem to be enough for the size of the hotel.”

• First night late arrival, clerk tried to assign small room.

“Very pretty rooms and lobby. Elevators are somewhat slow for the amount of traffic they have. Free parking. Very easy to get to. Overall, staff is very courteous and helpful.”

• Proximity to the Highway.
• Dirty room when we first got there, pool area was not kept.

“The hotel space were beautiful, parking adequate and it proximity to the highway made it easy to come and go. A Starbucks will be ready to go right off the main lobby soon. Pool area had a non-working sauna and no towels. The Coco water park was an extra cost even though it was part of the hotel and it was more geared for younger children. My 14 year old was too old for it. Internet area had 3 computers, more needed. It would have been nice to have complementary coffee and muffin to see us out the door on our early morning activities.”

• Not responsive to concerns, bad service.

“Had to demand clean sheets after 3 days of 100 degree weather, vending machines and ice out entire 4 day stay. Housekeeping manager rude and claimed not to speak English took 3 days to get a chair for room, out of bath and face towels entire stay. Well understaffed entire time in a sold-out hotel, gift shop locked up most of time so had to out to buy soft drinks or snacks.”

• It was very hot and humid in K.C. the staff opened the pool for after it had been closed for the night.
• There were 150 school children at the water park on a field trip I think they overwhelmed the staff.

“I traveled with my son (11) and my friend and her son (12) we all had a great time in the pools indoor and outdoor. The water park was a big hit and the free shuttle to Kaufmann stadium to see the Royals play the Red Sox was an unexpected bonus. The entire staff was gracious and friendly.”

• Next door to a children's theme park. Too much night noise.

• The rooms were newly remodeled and were very nice. They also had newly remodeled the entire building.
• It didn't seem to be in the best location.

“We had a wonderful experience with the staff and the accommodations. I would also recommend this to families as they have a terrific water park. The rooms had great flat screens and the beds were very comfortable.”

• Desk and restaurant staff was very friendly.
• Housekeeping is horrible.

“We had two adjoining rooms. The comforters were dirty in both rooms. Chairs had crumbs and stains. Supplies i.e. shampoos and soaps were not in rooms along with other things. Housekeeping was terrible. They didn't clean, replenish, fold blankets and other such things. Room service was great! The food was very good and delivered on time.”

• This hotel has a waterpark for kids and is located close to Royal's baseball and Chief's Football.
• There are not many places to eat or shop nearby.

“This is a great hotel close to the KC Royal's and Chief's stadiums! There is also a kids water park but it does cost extra. The furnishings are nice as there are LCD TVs in the rooms. There are also computers available for use in the lobby.”

• After our disappointing room, we received a free breakfast.
• The cleanliness was horrible! Be sure to check your bed linens!

“Upon checking in and entering our rooms we were very impressed, however upon pulling back the bed sheets we discovered potato chips in one bed. It was obvious that the bed linens had not been changed. The hotel would not change the bed linens, their only way to solve the problem was to pack everything up and move to another room which was a hassle!”

• Great location, comfortable rooms, great blinds to keep out daylight.
• The air conditioning didn't keep the room as cold as I prefer, ice machines not great.

“During my 4 night stay, housekeeping didn't stop to replenish towels, in room coffee etc. Until late in the day - after I called. Hotel has 2 towers. I would recommend requesting a room in the main tower - with elevators closest to the reception area. Public spaces nice, free wireless internet in lobby area convenient but busy - use of printer at no charge a plus. Working ice machine on my floor but not on other 2 floors in my tower.”

• The hotel staff quickly answered our calls to the front desk when we had problems.
• Air conditioning did not work.

“In our first room, the air conditioning did not work at all. It was late at night, so we called the front desk and were moved to another room with air conditioning that barely worked. We were given free breakfasts at the hotel restaurant the next morning and found a string in our food. Not a good visit at all!”

• When water wouldn't drain out of tub. Not slow, but completely stopped up.

“It was easy to get from Royal Stadium to the hotel. Check in was quick and friendly. Beds were very comfortable. If the tub would have drained right it would have been a perfect stay.”

• Front desk staff was sympathetic towards our sons surgery.
• Rooms were very small; no storage for clothing.

“We were staying there due to our sons surgery at CMH and the staff was always asking how he was doing, how the surgery went, etc. They even had a K.City Royals shirt sent up for our son! Attached was a note addressed to him telling him that they would be thinking about him and wishing him the best of luck. Awesome staff! The only complaints are AC not working well, had to move to another room, got a little better. Rooms are very small & no storage for our clothing. The beds were great, like sleeping on a cloud.”

• A/C never worked properly. Room was hot. No wash cloths or hand towels and no new cups/coffee put in room. Pool facility was not good.

“Good location and close to KC ballparks. Hotel maintenance not great. Room was too hot, no new washcloths, hand towels, coffee, cups, and several light bulbs missing. Called about A/C and not able to fix it.”

• Friendliness.
• The wait for elevators. Only three for a large hotel and one was not working the entire time we were there. Waited almost half an hour to get on.

“The location of this hotel for those wanting to attending a Royals or Chiefs game is wonderful. The staff was friendly and very efficient. We would definitely stay again in the hopes that the elevator situation was resolved. If it was not, it would keep us from going back for a third time.”

• A lot of noise in the hallway in the early morning, bad parking lot.

“Looked good from the outside, very close to the stadium, not enough help at the front desk, it was pouring rain when we arrived, we had to park on the side of the building and there wasn't an entrance other than up front, a lot of hallway noise late at night and early morning.”

• Good quality, very close to sports complex.
• Our 2nd floor view was awful (of the adjoining roof).

“Nice hotel. Clean, high quality. Nice public areas, including free computer and internet access. Hotel is attached to a small/medium sized indoor water park - great for kids. Also, it's just a minute or two from the baseball and football stadiums. They offer free shuttle service there.”

• No free breakfast.

“Hotel has the most comfy beds and quality linens. Lots of little extras like Starbucks coffee, Taos tea, free bottle of water, personal care items, USA Today. Outstanding TV with large flat screen, good looking, extremely clean room. Free shuttle to baseball games (it's also a comfortable walk). Nice public areas with lots of chairs, pool, fitness center and a Coco Key resort (but you have to pay $25 per person) This property has been very recently remodeled so it's very nice.”

• Great location, very kid friendly - arcade and water park! Friendly staff.
• The rooms were a little small. Outside trash was always overflowing.

“For the most part, I love this hotel. It was the first time we had stayed there. The staff was friendly and the rooms were decorated modernly. The rooms were a little small but not too bad. Our daughter loved the video games downstairs. The only negative thing I have to say is the outside trash can/Ashtray was always overfull to the point there was trash on the ground next to it. I think they either needs to get a bigger trash can or change it more often.”

• Fitness equipment was poor quality. Treadmill was not operational.

• 20 dollar cold breakfast.

“Check in was quick but the room was a little smaller than expected. The AC couldn't keep up and ran constantly and the toilet would either not flush at all or flush constantly and bathroom lighting was poor at best. The prices on pay per movies were ridiculous and the TV system was very uncooperative would not leave welcome screen for half an hour. Nice lobby though and the indoor and outdoor pools were nice but coco key was a little pricey considering the price of the room. All in all we were very disappointed.”

“Overall an excellent experience. Except for the two encounters with the afternoon male desk clerk, everything was clean, service excellent, and an enjoyable place to stay. Just to be clear, the female desk clerks that replaced the male clerk were very much more knowledgeable than the male clerk. So with the male clerk being the only draw back, we'd stay here again.”

• It cost money to get into Coco Key.

“The hotel was great overall. The only down was that we thought that the waterpark (Coco Key) was just part of the hotel, but rather you had to pay to get in. That was little disappointing and we didn't go, but it was still okay.”

• Our air conditioning was leaking and part of the floor was soaking wet.
