- Like the size of the rooms.
- Stayed here before. Every time we come back it's worse. Looks like they are trying to cut back & it shows.
“This is the 4th time we have stayed at the Rio - every time we stay there it goes down in quality. We will not be back again. You can see that they are cutting back on services. I spent 2 days at the pool 6 hours each day not once did a server come by. We were promised an early check-in didn't get it. Told to stand in the wrong line to check-in a 2nd time - 1 1/2 hours later they say oh you were in the wrong line, yeah the one your employee told me I had to stand in. Only found one place that we wanted to eat at there.”

- Great location. Off the busy strip but totally close enough to be enjoyable due to excellent shuttle service.
- Pool hours too short, lifeguard short staffed. Had to wait one hour for pool to open.

“Excellent stay, great value for your money. If you plan on fine dining, expect to spend some money. Only other choice is the cafe with very reasonable prices and a lot of food. Sea food buffet is not recommended due to very high price ($40 per person) and too much ordinary sea food selections.”

- The room size was wonderful. Plenty of space to move around.
- Sofa was in poor condition. Casino was too spread out. Food prices for buffet high.
“Front desk people were friendly, but did not tell us about the Rewards Card. Quick check-in for us, but we did see long lines several times during our stay. Buffet prices were very high. Husband hated the way the casino was spread out. Show with Penn and Teller was great and auditorium was spacious. Rooms were spacious, but furniture was outdated. Room attendants were very friendly. Next time we will, however, stay on the strip.”

- Suites, buffet.
- Annoying timeshare sales people, confusing to walk from parking structure to front desk
“Very confusing and convoluted to get from the parking garage to the front desk. You have to go up from the ground floor of the parking garage and then down an escalator, (with an elevator hidden around a corner) then the wind through the casino, dodge annoying timeshare salespeople strategically located at both a choke point, and right next to the check in desk and then you can check in. Other than that, everything was great. Great location, great room (although no free HBO, just the overpriced on demand junk). Excellent buffet. I'd love to stay there again.”

“The hotel is right acroos the street from Mall. My husband had business there and I could just walk acroos the street and shop until we met up later in the day. The bathtub could fit Shaq ...and strong bubble jets. TV built into the bathroom mirror. The linens on the bed were premium quality. I wouls never have been able to afford to stay there if not for Priceline”

“We had a problem with our room; it took 20 minutes for the front desk to answer the phone! Then 30 minutes (and 3 phone calls) before the bellman came with new keys to another room - he didn't bring a cart, and expected us to move ourselves. When we checked out, charges that were to be camped we on our bill (at least they were removed without a problem.) Service has gone WAY DOWN.
”

- Front desk was helpful & friendly, even when we checked in very late.
- We had to pay 9.95 per 24 hours for internet use! Free everywhere else!
“We called when we found we were going to be very late, they told us not to worry. Then when we got there, had an excellent room with a great view. Our room safe was left in locked open, we called to get it reset & the person was there in less than 10 minutes & fixed it for our use right away. We were stunned to find the huge price for internet use, when the rooms are as much as they are, anyway! Excessive, but I guess that is Las Vegas.”

- The room was large and comfortable. The staff was friendly and no long lines at check in or out.
- The pool closed too early.
“We loved the room, beds were comfortable, but I think the Marriotts beds are better. The staff was very nice and helpful. The fire alarm went off in the night and was annoying, but otherwise we had a wonderful stay. We stayed in the Flamingo the next night and it was not as nice and had long lines to check in, out, and at the buffet.”

- Horrible room service, limited pool access, room is small.
“I stayed at Rio 3 years ago, and the room was way bigger. The service was way better then. But this time the room seemed to be way smaller, plus the cleaning was done poorly. They didn't even leave towels. Shampoo/conditioner, and there was no toothbrush/paste or shower cap. Our favorite pool was changed to limited access with $30 fee. I don't know what they're thinking, but they lowered standard of the hotel and service.”

- A some what inappropriate show was performed in public without regard to the children in the audience.
“The hotel was fine and I would stay there again and would recommend it to my friends. The food was very good. The room was spacious and clean with a beautiful view. A microwave and coffeemaker would be a nice addition to each room. We do not gamble so I have no comment about that. We saw several shows that were very nice. I would stay at the Rio if I returned to Vegas. When I found out about the problem I contacted them and there attitude was, "Oh Well" I had to fix the mistake by myself and they offered no assistance or compensation for my situation.”

- For a suite I think the bathroom should have been laid out so that shower and the toilet were in separate rooms. That would make easier for everyone.
