• Staff was very helpful in providing a handicapp room close to lobby.

“The staff is very friendly & helpful. Hotel was clean, had everything I needed in a kitchen area, nice TV & comfortable bed. Thanks for a great stay!”

• The room was very spacious as well as enjoyable.
• I didn't have a pool.

“During my stay at this hotel, I was felt as if I was home. My family and I cooked meals and enjoyed family time as if we were back home in Memphis, TN. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting in the Knoxville area. If ever in Knoxville again, I would? Gladly return to the Candlewood Suites to reside for the time I'm there.”

“I enjoyed my stay and would recommend to others. I do prefer hotels with breakfast and a restaurant. For those who are looking to make your own meals, this would be the place to stay.”

• Nothing.
• No restaurant, no room clean-up, no attendant had to ring bell each time, and sound proofing was poor.

• The staff were friendly and the store was convenient.
• It was difficult to get into the parking lot.

“This hotel offers a great convenient store operated on an honor system. The location is decent, but the ingress/egress is terrible. The most positive thing was the staff. They are great. By the way, if staying on a Wednesday, I understand the cookout is great.”

• It was clean.
• There was no where for my children to sleep. They had to sleep on the floor.

“While clean and friendly, this is not a family friendly hotel. There is no where for children to sleep but on the floor.”

• Very clean. Friendly staff. Convenient check in procedures.
• It only had one bed.

“This is a very clean place to stay. It is conveniently located. There is a courteous and friendly staff. They stuck me on the wrong side of town with the wrong kind of room.”

• Good size with galley.
• Thermostat system was confusing.

“Hotel was appealing, modern and efficient. The mini-kitchen was excellent. It was nice to choose amenities food-wise, (I chose none). Building maintenance was below grade: i.e. Water leaking from tub faucet, thermostat was difficult to regulate, dual control on TV left a little to be desired.”

• It was convenient to Knoxville west area.
• They had overbooked. When I arrived, I had no room.

“Lobby in shambles from remodeling work. I don't know if the workers were legal workers or not, none of them could speak English. ”

• The bed was not comfortable.

“This was a nice hotel except for the bed. The bed felt like it was off the frame and flopped and squeaked. The heater was very loud and I didn't know how to adjust it.”

• Check-in staff was not very friendly or professional.

“Clerk was most unfriendly, room was small, not real clean, just not a place I would stay again or expected. We have stayed in a number of 2 stars in Atlanta, GA - no comparison to this hotel. Atlanta's hotel has been great for the price.”

• Smoke smell is too strong on third floor.

“Other than the afore mentioned smoke odor the hotel was very nice and the staff was very courteous.”

• Hotel is pet friendly.
• Pet fee is a little pricey.

“Hotel was very clean and pleasantly decorated. Had goods for sale at convenient store price. It was Christmas weekend, and the front desk closed, but the staff was still on-site for any problems that you experience. Very pleasant stay.”

• Allows pets that were left alone in a room (barking).

• I liked the food court and exercise room. They were unexpected surprises.

“Our stay was pleasant. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Had nice touches such as a hair dryer, iron, refrigerator with ice maker and stocked kitchen. Would definately stay there again.”

• It was quiet.
• We thought we were getting a suite with at least 2 beds but got a small room with one double bed.

“The hotel is fine its just bad that you think your getting a suite and its not what is on their website pictures.”

“For the price that I paid, it was well worth my money. The hotel has a food pantry that is open 24 hours a day & is self service. The room also had a full kitchen. This would definitely be a place to stay for an extended time.”

• Great value for large rooms with amenities.
• Not an easy location to find or get to. Directions on Mapquest and Mappoint were wrong.

“This was truly the value. Large suite with full kitchen for great price per night. Clean and well maintained. I would stay at a Candlewood again.”

“This hotel does not have 2 separate beds, only a double bed with no pull out sofa, yet they are called a suite. The front desk was apologetic, but could not improve the sleeping arrangements for 3 adults.”
