• The front desk personnel was excellent, friendly, and deserves a raise.
• Our room faced the interstate and despite efforts made by the hotel, the noise level was still there.

“The hotel was easily accessible, the front desk person was cordial, experienced; our visit was very stress free; the only down-side was that our room faced the interstate and despite the efforts made by the hotel (ie shutters with sound cushions, heavy drapes) the noise level was still there, albeit much less. Overall though I would stay at the hotel again.”

• Spacious room, comfortable bed, functional in-room desk and internet connection.
• My room was in the section right next to a major freeway (I-4) and traffic noise was not too loud, but noticeable and constant.

“The Candlewood Suites in Lake Mary are at the end of a nice cul-de-sac just off Lake Mary Blvd and I-4. This place is new; there was still construction stuff on one side of the building, so everything is brand new and not worn. I've stayed in one other Candlewood Suites, but this one is nicer. The room was larger than the other one I stayed at in Chicago, and the bed was super comfortable here. The west side of the building faces I-4, so you should ask to get a room not on that side of the building. I had one there and the traffic noise was not loud but constant. I would bet all other areas of the hotel, even just across the hall, have no traffic noise at all. The laundry facilities came in handy and the workout room too - although the treadmills were not working when I was there. The staff seemed pretty cool.”

• Lack of cleanliness.

“There is major construction within the hotel. There was plastic sheeting hanging everywhere and some of the entrances/exits were blocked off (not sure about fire code issues with this). We arrived late and tired and after checking into our room discovered that our sheets were very dirty. They definitely had not been washed after previous use. The front desk offered to move us to another room immediately, which we accepted and the sheets appeared to be clean in that room. The hallways badly needed vacuuming. The bathroom was in good condition. The location is great with lots of restaurants and fast food locations nearby.”

• Clean, pretty, great pool area, great kitchen setup, clerk was helpful!
• Asked for 2 beds, instead of one and I asked for a hotel with free shuttle to airport. Called taxi last min. Pd lot of $

“Hotel was great. I specifically asked for a room w/ 2 beds because I had my 3 children w/ me and the fought all day who was going to sleep w/ me on the bed. I also asked for a hotel w/ free shuttle to airport, and was very disappointed when I did not have it, and had to call a taxi last min.”

• Extremely Clean
• Located in an obscure area off the interstate that required locating the hotel.

“Nice hotel, however, its location in an office park far from the interstate is not obvious to most travelers. I was only able to find it as I used to live near that area.”

“The hotel was so great and the staff was excellent. The night I arrived was the night before the hurricane came thru. They were great at explaining everything to the guest about what would be happening.”

“Clean extended stay hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful, even with Hurricane Frances looming. They have a cupboard area with snacks and other items, which is a nice touch.”
