“The hotel was not bad, but a little run down. There was a leak in the ceiling. It appeared to be an existent issue because I noticed a patched part of the ceiling when I first checked in. Then it rained over night and water leaked through the ceiling.”

• The bed was REALLY comfortable.
• I felt uneasy about my car in the parking lot.

“Comfort Suites is aimed squarely at the business traveler, and serves that role very well. It's also great for a casual traveler who just wants a place to lay his head for the night without needing niceties such as room service or 24-hour reception.”

• Friendly staff.
• Could not darken the room at night--not blackout curtains--only sheers. No pool.

“The Candlewood Suites provided an adequate room. We had no complaints until we got ready to go to bed and couldn't darken the room. There were no blackout curtains and the parking area of a neighboring hotel had at least 6 tall pole lights that kept our room bright all night. We did not sleep well. Other than that, it was ok. It was clean enough and the staff was friendly and helpful.”

• Short distance from where I needed to be and a suite, nice to have a fridge.
• Traffic in this area is horrible most early morning to mid morning and mid afternoon until late afternoon.

“The hotel staff was very polite and helpful. The room was very clean. Actually needed two bed but settled for a full. Traffic in the area is terrible and hotel is not easily accessible due to traffic and location.”

• The room was clean spacious and staff very friendly and accommodating.
• The main highways nearby were constantly jammed making travel to & from hotel difficult.

“It was a great place to stay particularly for the business traveler who will be staying a week or more. The kitchenette was clean and well stocked with utensils, etc. The bed was extremely comfortable. Mores so than I would have expected. Overall a very nice hotel.”

• The comfort of the bed was great.
• Our room was close to an exit door and you could hear people coming in and out all through the night, because the door would bang.

“The hotel was very clean and comfortable. It had all of the amenities that you would need. The staff was very friendly. And I especially thought it was nice that they called your room about 15 minutes after your arrival to see if you needed anything.”

• I think Candlewood Suites is a great hotel.

“Overall, the hotel was great. Fire alarms went off and we all had to vacate the building. Was a false alarm but was still annoying. I would stay again at a Candlewood suites, but not that one in particular.”

“No flexibility with this hotel and their rooms, the first room given was saturated with cigarette smoke, and then the second room the TV was messed up, no room to accommodate kids.”

• Very clean room, good comfortable bed, nice air, good television and cable, clean bath with good water flow, quiet.
• Little hard to find the first time, especially at night.

• Loved the separate bathroom area.
• Had to pay $10 extra for an uncomfortable rollaway.

“Overall good hotel, but most "suites" Ive stayed in had a foldout couch. I was surprised I had to pay so much for a rollaway.”

“This hotel is great for business or extended stay. We enjoyed the snack bar as well as the fact that it is so close to restaurants and the freeway. Great hotel and we will probably visit again in the future.”

• Once I was in hotel, it made me forget the unpleasant experience I had checking in.
• The check in staff was rude and not opens for suggestions when I first checked in. I had to go to another hotel close by with a friend to clean up.

“Overall I would rate this moderate hotel. If it wasn't for the unfriendly staff that I first talked to check in the whole experience would have been ok.”

• Convenient to major highways i-35w, loop 820.
• This hotel caters to extended stay. No daily cleaning or towel service. Daily service is "day".

“Internet is wired only; our room internet service did not work. Our hostess arranged to connect to adjoining room, happy. Since this is an extended stay facility, daily cleaning and restocking the room was not available. Additional items such as coffee were available to purchase each day. Linen change-out is on a do it yourself "day" basis, not a typical hotel/motel setting. We were somewhat dissatisfied by this lack of service. We thought we were booking a "normal" hotel and this proved to be "something less".”

• Friendly staff, plenty of parking.
• No maid service for stays under a week.

“Compared to the hotel where my conference was being held, the price was right and the location wasn't bad. But be warned that this is an extended stay hotel, and they don't offer maid service for stays of less than seven days. You can still get fresh towels, but you have to walk the used ones down to the desk for an exchange.”

• Room smelled like smoke.

“This is a hotel I would definitely return to, especially if I was going to be traveling for several days. The room is spacious, kitchen is convenient, staff is friendly, and there are even laundry and exercise rooms. I appreciate the hospitality of the staff.”

• It was very quiet. You could not hear others in the next room to you. Friendly attendants.
• They were laying some ceramic tile and the elevators were closed much of the time.

“This is a nice quiet friendly hotel. Noises in the hallway nor in the next room came through the walls, which meant better quality of sleep. The attendants were very helpful and friendly. They had a great kitchen to be able to cook your own breakfast. It was fairly clean, quiet and had an exercise room and a small store that was based on the honor system. Nice to know they still expect people to act out of honor.”

• They had free movie rentals. Popcorn in the microwave. Ice makers in the rooms. Nice clean bed and bathroom.
• Nothing at all.

• They gave us a second "free soda voucher" when we had to change rooms because ours smelled like a stale ash tray!
• Our first room smelled like a stale ash tray so they tried to move us to another room , but it smelled almost as bad.

“The whole experience would have been a lot better had we not had to contend with the smoke. We both had headaches by the morning.The sink in the bathroom was barely hanging on. The lady at the front desk was very kind until we asked her if we could change rooms. ”

• The suites are spacious with a full kitchen.
• It was all good.

“This is an excellent place to stay. The suites are big and the full kitchen is a big plus (full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, and a good stock of dishes). There are some renovations going on now, but there weren't any disruptions to the service. An excellent hotel.”
