• The room has kitchen and microwave; the snack room has the guest honor system!
• Housekeeping only comes once a week, no double bed rooms.

“Great values! The Candlewood Cupboard (snack room) is stocked with great fresh and frozen foods and it operates under the Guest Honor System. We write up our own bill each time we make a purchase, which is charged to the room total bill, and we do not need cash at time of purchase. It offers free laundry (washer and dryer). It also offers free DVD rental service featuring the latest hits. The only complaints I have is that it did not offer double bed and housekeeper only comes once a week (or after check-out). Luckily, it allows change of towels and linens if guests bring them to the front desk. The room has a kitchen with stove, dishwasher and microwave. There's a small fitness room and free laundry room as well. There is no swimming pool or restaurant. This is good for a couple. If you have friends coming along, make sure you have a travel sleeping bag or something as you won't get a double bed room.”

• I liked the cup something that you con buy special things and they had washing and dry machines for free.
• My room had a strong cigarette smell that was uncomfortable and they charge at the bill thing that I didn't spend at the cup something.

• Bad area. Dirty. Phone broken, fridge broken, thermostat broken. Seedy neighborhood.

“Aside from the room being disgusting (not cleaned well-hair in the bathroom and on the kitchen counter), we were put into a room right next to a room that was under construction. We got a 9 am wake up call that we didn't ask for. We were more upset that we were never told this upon checking into the hotel. The hotel didn't care about us at all as guests. I wouldn't stay there again.”

• The kitchen in the room and the recliner.
• No pool.

“This hotel is really great for families traveling to Disneyland. The suite was spacious and the kitchen allowed us to eat in one night and save over $40. The only downside was that the shuttle took almost 30 minutes to get us back from Disneyland. Other than that, everything was great.”

• Not many or any rooms with 2 beds since we have one child.

• The cupboard was convenient.
• Room was very small.

“I was not happy with the size of the room. Myself, my husband and our 3 kids all had to sleep in the bed. The hotel had air mattresses, but they were all checked out. I had the worst night sleep ever, as I had my kids laying on top of me the whole night.”

• The staff was friendly and very helpful in all ways.
• We had to make special arrangements for our children to stay.

“The hotel was in a nice area and not too far from Disneyland (about a ten minute shuttle ride). It was quiet and we heard no noise at all inside the rooms. The hotel is very convenient to I-5 and easy to find. It was clean and comfortable, the rooms were spacious and nicely equipped and the bed was heaven after a long day. We had an air conditioner malfunction the first night, and they had it looked at in about ten minutes from our first phone call - it couldn't be fixed that night (it was about 11:30 pm) so they offered to put us in another room - we declined as our kids were asleep and we had already unpacked everything, so they got us a fan for the night and they had the problem fixed first thing in the morning at our convenience. The only drawback to our trip was that we had to make special arrangements to have two beds - and the second bed was a sofa bed in the living area. Our kids thought it was great, so it worked out fine, but I worried about them not getting good rest. Overall, a great place to stay for the price, and terrific if one bed suits your needs. There is a quickie mart/gas station next door for more selection than the in-hotel snack market they provide, and free laundry facilities at the hotel, also. We liked it and will stay there again if we can be sure we get two beds.”

• The kitchen came in handy for keeping drinks cold.
• The bed was too small and was different than our reservation specified.

“This hotel was great for travelers spending all their non-sleeping hours at the Disney resort. The resort is just a few minutes down the street. The parking is free and right outside the building. The full size fridge was great and the kitchen comes in handy to make breakfast on your own. For someone who is picky about hotels, I was pleasantly surprised.”

• Hotel was newly remodeled, very quite, clean and comfortable.
• Hotel is going through a remodeling but did not affect our stay.

“Hotel is located in a good location, not to far from Disneyland and restaurants. The rooms are very clean, newly remodeled and a kitchenette is provided which was a surprise to us. Staff is friendly and accommodating.”

• The staff was great, the hotel was being remolded.
• They did not pick the garbage up that people would put in stair wells.

• Water goes off and on all the time, under construction, sticky dirty floor everywhere, horrible smell.

“This hotel was in awful condition while I am staying here, the floors are left with sticky dirt everywhere. The water goes off and on every time I shower, the water was shut off one morning for a long period without notifying guests. One of the elevators is broken. The condition of the equipment in the weight room is very bad. Your room is cleaned only once a week and you need to change your own towels out at the front desk, and they may or may not have towels available. Hammering is going on into the evening many of the days.”

• Housecleaning did not clean our room; we had to ask for clean towels.

“The hotel was not as comfortable for my family as expected. My kids had to sleep on the floor because there was only one bed. We had to ask for clean towels, and we were also told that rooms were cleaned one per week. The hotel was under construction, so initially, the hotel did not look nice.”

• It was in the middle of a remodel, staff not knowledgeable.

“This hotel could be very nice when it is done being remodeled, the staff needs to learn more about where they are located as we called to find out how far away we were and they had no idea of the freeways around them or help direct us. Go ahead and stay there the room was clean.”

• Hall carpets being replaced floors were sticky there.

“If you need to stay for an extended time and there are only 2 of you then this is not a bad location or place to stay but not if you have kids that you are traveling with. there are not enough beds for more than 2 people and if you don't mind renovations then this is the place for you since it smelled in the halls like wet paint and near the washer and dryer and fitness room the carpet was up and the floor was sticky that your feet almost stuck to the glue on the floors.”

• The staff was extremely nice and very attentive when needed.
• The shuttle to Disneyland came only once every hour but that is not the hotel's fault.

• The bed was very comfy.
• Non-smoking roomed smelled of smoke. Slow Staff, dirty due to remodeling.

“It should be an ok hotel when remodeling is done. Beware of the rooms-the management states they are non-smoking, but some smell very badly of smoke. The beds are very comfy. Good economy hotel.”

• I would like that the ac not be a loud. I would like that they provide us a complete condiments for the coffee.
• Did not like the ac sound, too loud.

“If you are planning on staying for the weekend, I recommend this hotel. It's affordable, and clean. The receptionist was really friendly and knowledgably. However, if you planned for a mini vacation, do not choose this hotel, their ac was really loud. You can not sleet in there without turning off the ac, but if you come during the summer, for get it. It would be a waist of money!”

• Liked that it had a kitchen with dishes though only enough for 2 so had to wash after the kids ate so adults could eat.
• They where in the middle of refurbishing and had lots of noise, had to keep kids hands of the wet paint.

“Nice but get something bigger than a studio if you have kids. If you get it in name your own price they WILL NOT upgrade your room unless you pay $30 more a night. My daughter had to sleep on a chair (dirty floor) and luckily my son had a port-a-crib. Will be much nicer once the construction is done so that you dont have to keep kids fingers off wet pain on walls. And baseboards always help it look nicer when walking up to your room.”

“The room they put in was supposed to be for a family, but it turned out. It only had one bed, not even a sofa or anything we could sleep on. We barely slept, it was an awful experience, we tried to get a bigger room, but they didn't have one, they did the second night but we had to pay an upgrade.”

“The hotel was OK. Clean, but not overly clean. The price is good and a great location for food, Disneyland and stores if you need something. However, these are all suites with only one bed, and it is an extended stay hotel, so there is no maid service. If you are there just to sleep, great place.”

• Comfortable bed & great having a selection of pillows, great towels.
• The people above our room were very heavy footed & others liked to slam doors.

“Comfortable, but they need to make sure that if you have kitchen facilities it needs to be stocked with more than 2 forks 3 knifes and 1 spoon, The microwave did not work properly and my husband fixed it. The bed was great, when I called they said we had a queen bed, it was more like a double, but comfortable, loved the 3 pillows soft, med, & firm.”

• Staff not accommodating. Water in tub ran all night and day because no plumber on weekend.

“Liked the location. Did not like the fact that no service on weekends i.e. plumber. Had to change rooms and found out that no one really stayed in this room. No restaurant. Only dial up, no high speed service. No late night check in after 11 pm closes. Elevators were not even. Wheels got stuck going through.”

• I wanted a room for four people and got studio with only one bed no bedding or accommodations for children.

• Greeted with a contagious smile. I was made to feel welcome, even though I checked in at 11:30 pm.
• There was nothing that I disliked.

“Service with a smile, everyone was respectful. Room was immaculate, bathroom was immaculate. This was the friendliest of family friendly hotels I have ever stayed at. A first choice for any family wanting to go Disneyland.”

• Kitchen, laundry facilities, exercise room.
• No maid serve if staying less than 7 nights and no clean towels and no where to put your trash. The towels and trash piled up.

“It was ok but I have never heard of no maid service if staying less than 7 nights. We stayed six nights and had to go ask for clean towels and then the dirty ones would just pile up. Also, we had trash pile up because of no made service and then no where to dump it.”

• It was a great value. Clean. The one room suite had a kitchen, which was nice.
• Some less pleasant smells. Some wood rot in the bathroom cabinet.
