• This is a fabulous place. The grounds are beautiful and the staff goes out of their way to help you.
• Our room was musty smelling and not as great as last year.

“This resort is so beautiful. I never dreamed I would find this nice of place to stay searching on line. We stayed here last year for our 25th Anniversary and I could not have been happier.”

• Nice landscape in public areas.
• Rooms could be better sound proof. Could hear some TV sounds from other rooms.

“The staff is very friendly and pays attention to details. However, the rooms could be a little quieter. The sound often traveled from the room next door so felt the need to be quiet in the evenings and mornings. Parking is available, but limited when big events are going on.”

• The pool was great!
• Pool closed at dusk and the pool bar closed at 5:00pm. We swam after dusk anyway.

“Hotel was much more than I expected. Monday through Thursday was very quiet with business travelers, but the weekend came alive with families. I will definitely stay there again. We liked it so much, we were hoping they were selling some units. We would have bought one that weekend.”

• It was large clean comfortable with very friendly staff.
• The base boards in the rooms were dirty.

“It had wonderful outdoor pools in the resort town of Weston. It had a lot of security so one felt very safe. The staff went out of their way; would please adults yet had game such as basketball and waterfalls to accommodate children.”

• Needs better exterior lighting, more security presence. Uncomfortable coming in later alone.

“This is a nice facility. Lobby area is small, but adequate. Rooms are large and comfortable, nice fluffy bed/pillows. Needs a bit of upgrade in bathroom flooring and tubs, but overall a very good value. Need better outdoor lighting and higher security presence for those of us who come in late. Buildings are somewhat secluded on the property and there is some concern when walking in alone.”

• The Zen Bar is wonderful.
• Rooms can be a long walk from main building.

“The rooms are nice, but not great. My room smelled a bit moldy, and the bedding was not quality. Each room has its own air conditioning unit, which ran all night to keep the room comfortable, and was very load. The bathroom and walk in shower was very nice. Not a classic business hotel- better for a multi-day conference.”

• Everything the staff were extremely accommodating and we very much enjoyed our stay.

“If you have a car and are staying in Fort Lauderdale pre or post cruise this is a wonderful added vacation spot. The landscaping is beautiful. The staff were wonderful and the rooms lovely. We have stayed here before and have enjoyed it every time.”

• The grounds were beautiful. The gym was amazing.
• It was a bit out of the way.

“This was an incredible resort. The rooms are perfect and spacious, the grounds are fantastic, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the amenities are as nice as they get. I would highly recommend.”

• Very nice facility, heated pool, grounds are beautiful, location is very safe and upscale.
• Housekeeping was poor. More like 1.5 star quality.

“Excellent hotel overall; beautiful grounds, nice lobby area, pool areas are great and pool is heated and fun for kids. Food is pricy but good and the rooms are spacious and very nice. Location is right off I-75 and in a safe, upscale area with easy access to everything. I have stayed on 4 separate occasions, one week each time, and the housekeeping is consistently poor and such a disappointment and what you would expect from a 1.5 star operation. Completely clouds the finer points of the hotel and leaves you wondering how management tolerates such ineptness from its staff.”

“The Hyatt Bonaventure is a perfect hotel for a nice, small convention, and a good place for a comfortable, quiet night's sleep. Convenient parking and an upscale suburban setting make it a very nice place to stay. However, Weston is not terribly convenient to the centers of Ft. Lauderdale and Miami, so it's a long drive if that's where your business is.”

• The decor is modern.
• The walls of the rooms were very thin. I could hear word for word the conversation that took place with the couple next door to my room.

“I had a difficult time getting to sleep due to the noise. Although the guests in the room next to mine were not being any louder than you would expect, I could hear everything going on in their room. The walls are very thin!”

• Gorgeous landscaping and pools. Very clean and good staff In restaurant and pool side bar. I would love to stay longer next time!
• The female concierge was rude and not helpful at all.

“I have told several friends and family about this resort. The walk around the grounds was amazing. Many waterfalls, swans that live on grounds, the pool with the rock waterfall, the view of the golf course and all the tropical flowers and palms make you want to take pictures to remember the stay! I cannot wait to return!”

• In the first room we were in was too warm, they moved us and that was great.

• The atmosphere was tropical and lovely.
• The hotel staff was a little snooty and gave us bad directions to a nearby restaurant.

“A romantic getaway. This resort was a surprising and luxurious stay. From the elegant accommodations to the amazing spa, water features, and swans. Yes swans, this was a great stay.”

Everyone we encountered from the check-in staff to the maids to the bar and restaurant staff was very friendly and seemed truly concerned about our comfort. The hotel & our room were spotless. “20 min. drive from Fort Lauderdale airport, this Hyatt is lovely (clean, new-looking, safe area) with a large pool area and pretty grounds. Great customer service as usual from the Front Desk/Concierge employees. Free parking also.”

• Quiet rural location with attractive grounds.
• A little remote if you do not have a car.

“The room was comfortable. A little smelly although that is common in southern Florida due to humidity. Check in area was pleasant and restaurants looked nice although we did not use them. Outdoor pool was pleasant and hotel grounds attractive. Location was a little remote but if you have a car it is no problem. GPS is helpful as local highway access is confusing.”

• Restaurants way too expensive - no choices for less money.

“Nice place - a bit out of the way. Beautiful pool - nice openness to the resort - parts of the place as spread out as it is seem a little run down. Rooms OK nothing special - restaurants are all very high priced and might keep away form this place for a family resort. Should at least have one option for sandwiches etc at a lower price - $14 hamburgers is a bit much.”

• Good room layout, big bathroom, very clean and well kept.
• Large bathroom but it could have been better used by removing the bidet. Also, the shower door was not sealed and water leaked all over the floor.

“Good location in a quiet golf community. Very clean room and well maintained grounds. The room was average size but plenty big. The bathroom was good size but would have been better if arrange differently. Overall, it was very impressive and comfortable. One of the best parts of our trip.”

“We had an amazing experience at this hotel. The view over the golf course was beautiful and the rooms were luxurious. The only bad experience was having to walk to the front desk at 11 pm after a long day with a bunch of shopping bags because our key didn't work because the extra night we booked was not linked with the initial reservation.”

• The hotel staff was friendly even at two in the morning when they switches us to another room that since our room had a huge roach.
• The huge roach, our first room the lotion had been 3/4 used before we got there, the hot/cold picture on the shower was not attached, the door lock.

“At first the hotel seemed nice. We checked in at 4pm and a limo was out front taking pictures which made it hard for the valets and other customers to negotiate the parking lot. We went to our room which at first seemed ok. The door lock was faulty and the slam lock had to be used to secure the door. In the shower the label for hot/cold was not attached and just hanging on the knob. The lotion in bathroom was 3/4 used. All of this kind of gave me the feeling our room was not clean. We were all set to go to the bar by the pool when we found out it would be closed all evening for a private party so we went back to the room to spend a quite evening in. At two am a giant roach appeared and I called the front desk. After the roach climbed on my sisters bed they moved us to another room.”

• Convenient to major highways and Saw grass Mall.
• Sound traveled between rooms, seemed like walls were paper thin.

“I have stayed at the hotel 4 times, this time the rooms next door you could hear the TV, radio, and conversations like they were in the room with you. Complained to front desk they sent security, the noise was reduced but you still could hear it all night long. Two nights later the same thing. This is the first time I have had this problem here.”

“My hotel stay was great. I forgot my laptop at home which ended up being okay because there was a business center that gave me access to a computer. I work out daily so therefore I used the fitness center it was great as well, actually better than my fitness center at home. Over all I have no complains.”

• Beautiful landscape, rooms were spacious.
• That the hotel didn't provide shuttle service from the airport.

“My husband and I enjoyed our stay. We were impressed with the cleanliness and the friendly staff. The pool area was clean and the outside Tiki bar had a wonderful selection for lunch. We enjoyed walking around the grounds and felt very safe doing so.”

• Hotel facilities were great.
• Paying for internet service is absurd.

“Overall this was an amazing hotel. The rooms were fantastic. The restaurants were great albeit overpriced. The staff was helpful and energetic. The one bad thing is that with internet service being so inexpensive why a major hotel chain such as this still charges anything, let alone $11 per day is absurd. One should never have to pay for a basic service.”

“We got there late. Told us our single king was gone but would put us in a double king. BUT There are no double king rooms only full. We were to tired to argue. Very uncomfortable small bed with that fluff pillow.”

“The Hyatt Regency Bonaventure appeared to be very nice from the lobby, but it was over booked and they sent me to the Hyatt Place Ft. Lauderdale/Plantation. It isn't really a Hyatt. It is a converted AmeriSuites. I travel frequently. This experience was as bad as it gets. The first two keys were rooms that were occupied. In the third room, the air conditioner leaked and worked intermittently. When it worked, it was very loud and it was located next to the bed. The carpet was soaked all around the air conditioner. I had to put a towel down. The ceiling also dripped on the floor. I woke up twice to hear it dripping. I would have complained at the desk, but a line had already formed to do the same thing. My advice is get to the Hyatt Bonaventure early and check in before you get slapped into Hyatt prison.”
