“The rooms were very comfortable, excellent work space with two chairs at table, free Internet access, convenient pantry store open 24 hours a day with snacks, sodas and sundries. Location was convenient to Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia and Maryland.”

• The staff was the friendliest and most helpful in all my hotel stays.

“The hotel exceeded my expectations of a 3 star hotel. They bed was the best I've slept in and better than my one at home. They gave us a king room without asking and pushed our checkout time past 11am so that we could enjoy the breakfast on Sunday morning. It had every breakfast item you could imagine and a chef to make eggs, pancakes, and French toast to order. The staff was very courteous. They probably would have shined my shoes if I had asked them to.”

• Very roomy room with comfortable bed, microwave and fridge.
• No continental breakfast, but fridge allowed us to prepare our own.

“The Hilton Garden Inn Fairfax was one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. The room was huge, beautifully decorated, and spotless and had a microwave and fridge that allowed us to fix our own breakfast (since no continental breakfast was included.) We would highly recommend it.”

• Good sized rooms with great amenities! Business center, pool, laundry facilities!
• Cot for our daughter was $10.

“Great hotel in excellent location. Room was good-sized with comfy king-sized bed. Hotel had a small indoor pool that was perfect for our 6 you daughter. Coin operated laundry in hotel was helpful for us! We loved having access to email and fax in the business center. Staff was very friendly and we loved the complimentary cookies on afternoon!”

• It was fairly new and still in excellent physical condition.
• It was not in a neighborhood that was easy to Navigate around in.

“The room was an acceptable size and the bedding was upscale and sufficiently comfortable. The dining room breakfast buffet was less than expected. The food was very average and the selection was mediocre.”

• Very nice, clean, comfortable, new looking room.
• Not within walking distance of restaurants or shops.

“This suburban hotel, located in an office park and convenient to major roads and a large shopping center is new looking and comfortable. It has nice amenities, including a small reasonably equipped exercise room and a pool and plenty of parking. We did not try the restaurant and you must drive if you wish to go out to eat. The rate was a great value for what we received.”

• The workout & pool area.
• Full size beds in the double rooms.

“The staff was very nice. The atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. They had a 24 hour convenience shop, if you forgot something or you want a snack. They had complimentary star bucks coffee, hot chocolate, or tea in the morning. The pool had toys & a lifeguard on duty. From the workout room, you can see the indoor pool.”

• They wanted to charge 10 dollars for a cot, and not give me a double bed room.

“hotel and staff were friendly, but did not want to honor the request at the front desk for a double bed choice. There were plenty of open rooms with this accommodation but instead wanted to put a cot in my room and charge me 10 dollars.”

• Exceptionally clean. Hotel operations seem very well managed.

“Difficult to believe this hotel is rated at only 2 1/2 stars. It's as nice as some of the much more expensive hotels I've stayed in over the past few years. It doesn't offer a lot of fancy (and often unnecessary) features, but the essentials are very well executed. Highly recommended.”

• Clean and having a refrigerator.
• Events like wedding makes hotel too noisy and crowded.

“I was so excited when I read the review of the hotel from trip divisor since it was ranked No.1 in Fairfax area. Yes, the hotel was good, but the nightmare soon started when the music from the basement sounded so noisy. It wasn't gone until 1am. I know there was the wedding reception but we didn't come because of that wedding. The room next to ours was too noisy too. The bottom line is even though the hotel is nice, sometimes it is not the best because of those unexpected occasions.”

• The updated gym facility, which we utilized often! Also, there was not a continental breakfast.
• The indoor pool was small and not very sunny/bright of an area.

• Friendly, efficient staff, comfortable rooms, good amenities.
• We ended up in a handicap room, which had some drawbacks, breakfast buffet not good.

“The hotel itself was great. Very clean, well appointed. Friendly, very helpful staff. However, lots of local gatherings, weddings, meetings made it crowded a lot. We got a handicap room, awkward if you are not, and they were full so could not change our room. It was also remote, so we did more driving than planned. Breakfast was disappointing, so we never tried any other meals there.”

“I liked the front desk personnel, but I had a bad experience with the cleaning department. I forgot one of my bags in the room and when I got home I called the hotel and was transferred to the cleaning department were I left a message. The next day I had to call back and leave another message and was not contacted until I told the front desk that this bag was important because I had my medication in it. When they finally called to tell me that my bag had been located they gave me a hard time with so many questions and getting a bit irritated at the whole situation I finally decided to name every item that I had in my bag. I was a little disappointed in there service.”

• this is a beautiful, clean motel;
• pool hours are only from 5pm-10pm

“we had a small problem prior about getting a double bed, but when we arrived,the attendant was very helpful to get us one. staff was extremely nice; this is definitely a first class motel.”

• Location is very convenient.
• Swiming pool is too small to share and the room air is not comfortable.

“We asked non-smoking room through e-mail to the hotel, but they gave me smoking room. Couple of hours, we felt headache because of smoking smell. It was severe for my children. So I asked to change the room to non-smoking room, but it was no use. And the staff is not friendly as I expected. Thus I do not recommend this hotel to other friends.”

“Just fine, except for an attitude problem from the chef. There was NO ONE in the dining room other than my wife & myself. The waiter had only served 3 tables, there was a wedding, but dinner was over. I got the impression that I was being served an unused dinner from the wedding.”
