“The hotel was very nicely maintained -- First room had bugs in bathroom and staff was quick to respond and move us to another room without any questions or problems -- Bar prices were a little high (glass of wine 8$ and bottle of beer 3$) -- Very nice rooms and nice motel -- Would definitely recommend to others”

• Slow response to the hotel soft key and 19" CRT TV.

“A mid size hotel in the convenient location to Gwinnett center with big and clean hotel rooms. It was very nice to have free shuttle bus service, but take too long to wait. Doors go to the gym and pool is difficult to open. Also suggest using LCD TV in the hotel room for better viewing quality.”

• Pool was too cold to swim in, mold around edges of tub.

“Overall, this was a safe, clean, friendly, comfortable hotel. Only complaints are that the indoor pool was too cold to swim in (disappointed kids :() and there was mold/fungus growing in the caulk of the tub. Otherwise, very clean and cared for. The beds were very comfortable, there was a choice of pillows, and the room was quiet.”

• Newer hotel close to convention center.
• Up charged for two doubles instead of one king

“Unfortunately my wife was ill and we needed two beds instead of one. We were charged extra for this "privilege". Did not appreciate this attitude.”

“The air conditioning was running from cooling to heat. It did not stop when the desire temperature was reached. It will get really cold then goes into heating mode. Then back to freezing. When informed to front desk, no action was taken. Will not stay there ever.”

“If you wanted to go to the Gwinnett Center, etc., it would be very convenient. It was fine. However if I was expecting a 3 star hotel, it did not seem that upscale.”

• It's directly adjacent to Gwinnett center. A venue for concerts and sports.
• They gave us a smoking room.

“Otherwise they were very helpful, allowed us to check out late on Sunday and the room service food was well above average for a holiday inn.”

“Check in was a breeze, but upon getting to my room I noticed that we had twin full sized beds instead of a single queen or king. I promptly called the front desk to ask for a queen bed room but the lady quickly said those were all booked. I had a hard time believing this, as the parking lot was just a quarter full.”

• Took the shuttle bus to concert & walked back to hotel after the show safely.
• The fire alarm went off at 9 am .could not reach the front desk by phone & no announcement it was in error. Heck of a wake up call.

“Picked this hotel for the ease of travel off the interstate and within walking distance to the convention facility. The price was good and got a lower rate on check in. Given the corporate rate since hotel was not full that day. Room was clean; beds were comfortable, lots of parking spaces. Restaurant off lobby and one next to hotel. Shuttled to the concert by staff and we were able to walk back to the hotel and felt safe doing so. Shuttle stops at 10:45 pm. Concert was over at 11:30 pm. Close to large shopping areas.”

“Great location for concerts. Brand new hotel in fantastic shape. Contemporary and comfortable rooms. Manager not ready for big crowd and sort of rude to his employees in front of people staying at hotel. Nothing to do on after a Sunday night concert.”

“Guy at front desk was VERY non personal, had to ask several times what he was saying. Also, second time that I've had the "do not disturb" sign on door, but still got the 10 am knock from maid service.”

• The location was perfect for where we wanted to be, the room was perfect for the four of us and the staff was wonderful about ensuring our comfort.
• Nothing.

“For staying on the north side of Atlanta, this is perfect. You have a wide choice of restaurants immediately but should definitely try the on-site restaurant as well; reasonably priced, unlike most hotel restaurants, and excellent fare. The location is convenient to the new Civic Center, Lake Lanier and all of the attractions there, easy access to I-85 and downtown Atlanta without the congestion.”

• Location! Room decor charming and distinctive.
• No express checkout--I don't like having to stand in line at the desk when I've already paid in full.

“The location is wonderful, and the rooms are charming--decorated to fit the Tuscan theme rather than cookie-cutter style of most chains. Negatives: we couldn't get the a/c to work--maybe it isn't supposed to in May--but our room was much too warm at night. We reported a clogged toilet on our way past the desk for breakfast, and it was not fixed by the time we checked out two hours later, even though the desk clerk specifically asked whether it would be okay to send a maintenance person up while we were gone. Also--no express checkout availability.”

• Hotel's restaurant had very limited hours of operation.

“Located in the Gwinnett Corporate Center, this new hotel is very attractive and has the amenities required of a 3 star hotel. Isolated from areas where there are restaurants and eateries, the limited hours of operation of the hotel's one restaurant can be an inconvenience.”

“It was very nice, a bit of a distance from the airport; but o.k. drive. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the staff was so friendly. Full service restaurant with hot wings made "just right for me". It really was a pleasant stay. The surrounding area is very nice, with additional restaurants, malls and other shopping. Easy access to I-85.”

• I loved the fact that I was able to bring my dog.
• The breakfast prices were too high.

“I chose this hotel because of it's location next to the Gwinnett Center where I needed to be on Saturday. My 15 y/o daughter and small dog came with me. Due to the horrific weather, we arrived at 2:30 am -- the desk clerk made us feel welcome and informed me that they were under a tornado warning. The room service attendant that brought us breakfast was friendly, but I felt the price for the Cinnamon French Toast was too much! The total plus tip for 2 was a little over $20. A shuttle bus was available to drive me over to the convention center and also picked me up when I was ready to go back. While I was gone, I think my daughter and dog made friends with everyone on the staff! We enjoyed relaxing in the heated indoor pool. The bed was so comfy, I didn't want to get up on Sunday! We slept in late, so it was about 5 minutes after checkout time when we left, but no one bothered us about when we were leaving. For a single mom on a limited income, it was perfect!”

• That they were in the process of completion of rooms, halls were covered with plastic. But loved the hotel very nice.

“The hotel was decorated nicely and very close to a mall, the grocery store and lots of nice restaurants. I was disappointed when I tried to switch from a King room to a room with two beds. There was also no bathtub, only a shower. My two year old hates showers so that was annoying. I would not go back to this hotel if I had the choice, I did not find it "family friendly".”

• I loved the location and the hotel was very nice.
• However, we stayed 3 nights and they never once cleaned our room.

“The Hotel is in a very nice area. The hotel itself was nice. But we were there for 3 nights and no one cleaned our room. I reported that to the lobby staff and they said that they would send towels because it was after hours and they did not. That morning I had to catch the maid in the hall for towels. And that went on for the rest of the stay.”

“This is a very attractive Holiday Inn. It is 6 stories tall, with a beautiful lobby. The bathroom in the room was nice, with an excellent shower head that was high enough to not make me duck down while using. Good bed.”

“The hotel was in a good location. The room was very nice with a small refrigerator and microwave. The bed was very nice. The heated pool was cold. The heater in the room didn't work and the manager could only say. They had a nice Restaurant and Bar. The parking was very nice and lighted.”
