• The look was very upscale, in Columbus the room would have been rated higher if broken glass was not there.
• Broken glass was in the room over by the window.

“The hotel was nice, the people I really didn't have to much contact with but my overall stay was a 9.”

“Very classy hotel. I was there only one night but it was very clean and well maintained. Good central downtown location. Parking is expensive but that's how it is in all big cities.”

• Staff very helpful and nice, the room was very clean and comfy, the pool terrace is luxurious.
• Overnight parking was awful, pool needs to be heated, decor is a little strange.

“We had a great stay at this hotel. The staff was very nice and very helpful, especially since we were traveling with children. The overnight parking charges were very high for Columbus. The pool terrace was very nice, and different. However, we were there in 90 degree weather and the pool was freezing cold. I was in the pool for quite some time and it was still very cold, so I got out. I would not say that the hotel is family friendly, in the sense that it is definitely driven toward business travelers. The beds were amazing, my 4 years old loved how soft the down pillows were. My 2 years old slept over a Euro the whole night, so those were a hit as well. Everything worked well, minus the drain in our sink being broken. Overall, the hotel and stay was very nice.”

• The decor, the staff, the rooms and amenities!
• In-room internet is not free. Valet parking is not optional. $23/night!

“I am 100% satisfied with this hotel. My friends and I were treated very well. The hotel was beautiful and located in downtown Columbus, which is convenient to a lot of things. And the beds slept wonderfully! I was very comfortable during my stay. No complaints except for the fact that internet was not included in-room. It is $12.95 per day. Also, valet parking is $23 per night and it is not optional.”

• Very accommodating with our larger family needs.
• The room was a bit musty and damp, but an open window helped.

“The appearance of this hotel was beautiful and felt elegant and upscale the moment we pulled up. As a family of 6 attending a large function there, we were helped every moment we needed it - even for my children. They handled the large event with class and superior service and we weren't lost in the crowd nor put on hold because they were busy.”

• The kindness of the workers and the speed they did their jobs.
• The pool water and spa tub were not heated enough for the day use. Parking fee per night was a bit costly, but the car was secure.

“This hotel was very clean with efficient employees that serve the customers very well. The location is good in downtown Columbus. We totally enjoyed our stay.”

• Mattresses were amazing. Shower was fantastic.
• I accidentally left behind some clothing. Hotel made me pay for shipping it home.

“Room was one of the best I've ever stayed in. Generally everything was fantastic. Although staff were a little bit uninformed of transportation and things around the city.”

• The staff was exceptional and pleasant.
• There were limited parking options.

“I've never been in a hotel which was as well organized but still remained friendly and courteous, and was never snobby. Service was prompt (except for bell service on check-in, however this was understandable given the volume of guests arriving at the time), and amenities were more than satisfactory.”

• Very friendly, helpful staff. Nice people, not just "workers."
• I liked so much but I wanted access to better snacks! Minor, but true.

“Excellent, responsive service with a focus on helping guests; enjoy their visit to Columbus. Warm accommodations (fire was going when it was cold), near a nice bar (the Tip Top), and not all that far from Ohio State.”

• Very nice room, excellent food, very comfortable bed.
• Nickeled and dimed for everything.

“It's a nice hotel in a central location, but for the price, I expected free wireless in my room (it was $12.95 for 24 hours); free or discounted valet parking (it was $23.00/day); and complimentary breakfast. Another huge turnoff was the Evian water in my room--available to me at $4.50 per bottle--an outrageous price and really bad PR for the hotel. They provided water bottles in the gym--those same bottles should have been provided in the rooms. I would definitely not stay at this hotel again simply because the lack of amenities is a major issue for a hotel.”

• Rooms were decorated beautifully. Loved the color scheme.
• The gazillion loud cheerleaders that checked in Friday and stayed until Sunday or Monday - they were unsupervised and loud at 2:00 am.

“The hotel was great. Valet staff was very, very polite and efficient. The lobby area always smelled great and the fire in the lounge area was lit and inviting. I would absolutely stay here again.”

• Really, the head bellhop was great. Very helpful and knowledgeable.
• Valet only parking that was very expensive: $23 per night with no in/out privileges.

• Lovely room.
• You are over charged for everything.

“Loved the room, nice view and very clean. Very friendly staff. The hotel restaurant was way overpriced and well below expectations for the prices they set. The parking is also an issue. It is rather expensive, but the valet crew is great. This is an ideal hotel for business, but not too family oriented. I would recommend this hotel for business trips.”

• The bathroom was way too small, with virtually no counter space.

“This hotel was just okay. I was disappointed in the size of the bathroom, and especially the lack of counter space. The room itself was large, which made the tiny bathroom seem even more out of place. The valet parking was pricier than other hotels in the downtown area and the valets all seemed very young and not very knowledgeable or helpful about the process. I was sick one day of my stay, the gift shop was out of both stomach and headache medicine, and the front desk said they could not help me if the gift shop was out. Later, I learned there was a CVS just down the block. I felt the front desk should have at least recommended the CVS to me, since they could not help me. Also, there was a weird odor throughout the hotel (lobby, rooms, etc.). It smelled like a candle or perfume of some sort, but I am sensitive to smells and it just made me nauseous.”

• I got a very low price. The hotel had a suite available when I checked in and I got a free upgrade.
• Pool is outdoor.

“This is a lovely hotel with excellent staff. Parking fee. Since I had paid so little for the room this was acceptable. The parking is valet and it was nice to call down and have my car waiting for me. The rooms are beautiful and quiet. The beds are very comfortable. I strongly recommend this hotel.”

• Internet fee in room. No bathtub. Pricy valet parking.

“Very enjoyable stay. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, including valet parking staff. They made my two days there hassle free and enjoyable. Rooms are well decorated with black and white photos of the city. Free internet in downstairs lounge is a wonderful idea. You can use the internet while having a coffee or drink.”

• The lobby staff were very friendly and helpful.
• Our bed linens had not been laundered properly.

“Overall our stay was average. The lobby staff was very friendly and helpful. However, when we went to go to bed on our first night, we found stains on the comforter, black hairs on the pillow shams, and on the head board. The next day the maid did not come to our room until after 3pm, and she acted as if she would rather not clean our room. I wonder what this hotel would be like if all of their staff was as nice as the people in the lobby. I would stay there again, but only if there were no other rooms in the area.”

• The friendly staff, the modern decor, and the location.
• The room doors slam shut very loudly, could here everyone going in and out of rooms.

“The hotel location was perfect for our purposes. The rooms were spacious enough and very clean. I especially liked the modern decor. The beds were comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud. The food served in the hotel restaurant was delicious and the service was exceptional. All hotel staff was very hospitable; we felt important.”

• It's an older renovated hotel that has a charming quality.
• The rooms are a small. The view is less than scenic.

“This hotel was a perfect for a romantic getaway. It has a nice lounge downstairs. The rooms are a bit small (renovated older hotel) with bifold bathroom doors and small closets, but are quite nice overall.”

“Fantastic hotel. The rooms are spacious and decorated in contemporary fashion. The pool and hot tub on floor 5 are a nice touch. It's really too expensive to park there though, and local parking areas are sketchy at best.”

• The bathroom was small. A folding door was a slight inconvenience.

“The location of this hotel is excellent. It is in very close proximity to the Statehouse, making it very convenient for me to do business. Its worth its weight when I can leave my car parked and walk only a short distance to meetings.”

• Convenient to local arenas and restaurants. Most of staff was attentive.
• Charge for daily valet parking of $23.00 per day.

“Overall experience was excellent. Mostly we chose location by proximity to sports arenas. This was one of the cleanest cities we have visited. Room lacked table to dine-geared towards business traveler-which we were not. decor was beautiful although the only option missing was a Jacuzzi tub.”
