• The room was spacious and the staff was friendly.
• Could hear the people in the room next door at times.

“The hotel was a little hard to find but it was very pleasant and the staff was very friendly. Everything was clean and new looking. It was a great stay.”

• The hotel was clean and the contential breakfast was nice.
• The beds were not comfortable.

“The hotel is not on the beach but not far at all from the beach. It's in a good location and convienent to everything. The beds were not comfortable.”

• Very Clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
• Being able to hear the room next to ours microwave going off.

“We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was not overpriced and was comfortable for the night we were there. The only thing that I did not like was that I did wake up to hearing people talking in the room next to us and a microwave going off. It seemed as though there was not enough insulation between the rooms. That was a little disturbing. But I would definitely stay here again and tell others about it.”

• Complimentary breakfast was great!
• There was a kid running on the floor above and woke us at 6:30 a.m.

• It was really clean with lots of space in the room. Plus, it had nice amenities like a microwave and refrigerator in the room.
• It was pretty expensive for a hotel that was only rated as a two-star hotel.

“Just repeat what I said I liked about it and add that the complimentary breakfast was really good.”

• My room didn't get cleaned for two of five days we were there.

• Very clean & comfortable. No complaints. Exceeded expectations.
• Got in around 12:30 p.m. Very tired from driving all night only to find out we could not check in until 3:00 p.m.

“We loved the hotel and would definitely stay there again. The hotel and staff exceeded our expectations. Continental breakfast was excellent and the employee running the buffet was excellent. He provided great service and smiled the whole time.”

• It was a nice hotel for the price.
• It was too far from the beach. Had to drive to the beach each day and the traffic was hunderous.

“Hotel was fine. Suggest staying on the third floor as the first floor was very noisy with traffic going in and out of the doors at all hours of the night. I would stay there again if it were within walking distance to a beach.”

• It was within walking distance to shopping and restaurants.
• The breakfast was not arranged so that there was not a line of 10 people waiting.

“The hotel was clean and very comfortable, perfect for a family stay. I would stay at this hotel again if I go to Destin again.”

• Thought we were getting a king, but got 2 queens and didn't clean room well.

“It was okay, but nothing special - the housekeeping does a poor job - they did not even clean out the sink in the bathroom. Good breakfast bar, and was relatively quiet.”

• Good breakfast, nice pool area and close to beaches and other attractions.
• The one thing I didn't like was the daily room cleaning, we had to ask for more towels everyday and they didn't clean the coffee pot or supply coffee.

• This hotel met all my expectations and more. The rooms were large and very clean. The beds were comfortable and the linen clean.
• I can't think of anything I did not like.

“We were concerned at first because there was a bus load of teenagers in the hotel, but we were not disturbed at all. I was very happy about internet service available in the room, as well as free connection with printing set aside for anyone. The continental breakfast was more than expected and everything fresh. I would use this Wingate again.”

• Breakfast time was a free for all not organized.

• The room was big and everything looked brand new and in good repair. We were glad to use the internet.
• Just some of the other guests were inconsiderate, for instance smashing a Danish in the elevator on the walls and floor.

• Very clean bathroom/nice shower, mini-fridge/TV.
• Low, somewhat uncomfortable bed. Door would not close correctly.

“For it's location in the middle of Destin, this is a good hotel for the money, especially being somewhat new, clean, and having a nice breakfast available.”

• The free breakfast provided was excellent!
• I cannot think of anything we did not like

“This is a great hotel, geared mostly to business travelers, but can serve as a beach hotel as well. It is not on the beach, but a state park beach is less than 2 miles away. The hotel is off the main road, so there is virtually no traffic noise, unlike most of the beach hotels you'll find right on the main road.”

• I liked the location! I also liked the fact that the served breakfast!! they were very nice!
• I have no bad comments!!

“This hotel was in a very convenient location to many restaurants and to the public beaches! I was welcomed by a very friendly staff. The room was clean and spacious and included a fridge. and a microwave which was nice. I have no negative remarks and would recommend this hotel to others!!!”

• It was close to the water park and the bed was not hard.
• I did not like the smoke alarm battery dying at 4a.m. Staff had to come take it down.

“This hotel was very nice and a great location. It was clean and the staff were very friendly. I had to comment on the breakfast staff, they kept the food stocked and did it with a smile”
