• No fresh linens or towels, room cleaned up every 7th day. Not for 2 males, only one bed in whole hotel, no Wi-Fi.

• Great room set up and free DVD/VHS rentals.
• AC could not keep up with heat wave, bed bugs bites.

“The hotel was nice, and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately there was a massive heat wave and from the top floor, it was brutally hot, and the AC could just hover around 85 until the sun went down. I was bitten by something around my head and neck while I was asleep.”

• The location and price were just right.
• The cable connecting the DVD player was missing. They had DVDs available, but couldn't play.

• The rooms were spacious and was actually rooms, not one big area.
• Hallway air was not working made it stuffy going in and out.

• The room had a refrigerator, sink, microwave, dishwasher, etc. And was fully stocked with dishes. Perfect for an extended stay!
• I was extremely displeased over the pillows we were given. There were only 2 on the bed. They were not even standard size, more like toddler size!

“Upon arrival, I noted that there was not an awning where you could pull under and go in and check in (not good in bad weather). The staff was extremely friendly. They have a room that has exercise equipment, laundry facilities and a small snack bar where you are on the honor system. I thought the food was a little expensive, though, and I could have gone to the closest gas station and got it cheaper. The room was really nice and perfect for an extended stay or business traveler as it had a refrigerator, sink, dishwasher, microwave, etc. And was fully stocked with dishes. The worst part about this room, though, is really the most important thing -the bed! It was extremely uncomfortable and we were only given two pillows and they were not even standard size pillows! They were tiny lumps stuffed inside a standard pillowcase. This is what made us get up early and check out by 8 a.m. When we could have slept in and enjoyed the room!”

• The fully equipped kitchen was wonderful, especially the utensils.
• Nothing.

“I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The location is excellent and the staff were great. The rooms were especially comfortable and I especially liked the fully equipped kitchen. This is an outstanding place to stay in south Nashville. The price was really reasonable.”

• Cleanliness, in room kitchenette.
• No pool, 1 elevator in a inconvenient location, very long unventilated hallways, no lobby.

“This hotel is strictly for the young to middle aged business traveler on an extended stay. The location is good. The rooms are very clean and fairly comfortable. The check-out time is 12pm. This is rare and convenient. It is not child friendly and could pose a problem for seniors and those with health problems.”

• Hotel is well equipped in the Kitchen. Great for an extended stay.
• Only one elevator in building and it is not in the center... if you stay at the opposite end it is a long walk! (especially after surgery at vandy!).

• You don't have enough room in 20 words.

“We left a written note for the manager. My 84 yr. old mother & I were supposed to sleep in a queen size bed. No way. No coffee for the second day. No complimentary - even continental - breakfast. My mother had a sprained foot and they gave us the last room at the end on the 3rd floor. I was livid!! There's more but you have heard enough. Less expensive hotels give you coffee everyday ( morn & night) and complimentary breakfast. WE WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN and will never recommend it.”

• The staff was friendly. I liked the kitchenette area.
• Something about the room caused my sinuses to drain and I ended up with a sore throat the day of my job interview.

“It is in a nice location, a little tucked away. The staff is friendly and helpful. It seemed a little old. No vending machines. It has a store that runs on the honor system and free washer and dryer usage. I thought that was a nice touch. It also has a nice workout area.”

“This is a terrible hotel, under construction. Upon arrival, the TV cable was stolen and the TV did not work, nor did it have a remote. The internet cable did not work either. Staff worked on it, but it never connected all night. I checked in here to be closer to work so that I could work all night on the internet and I basically wasted my time and money.”

• Lots of amenities for extended stay. Kitchen, laundry, sundries, etc.
• We had a teenage daughter with us and they only have rooms with one queen bed. She slept in the recliner.

“Great for extended stay. Rooms only equipped to handle two people. I usually call in advance to find out this info but was informed upon arrival that the rooms only accommodate double occupancy. But great otherwise.”

• The room was very clean, and the kitchenette was a nice convenience.
• It was not far from the interstate, but a little confusing to find.

“The hotel was very nice, and the only areas that would not be considered clean was not actually dirty, but just under construction. If you are looking for a place with plenty of space that is clean and in a good area and/or if you want a place to fix your own meals or store food, this is a good choice. The only negative was that it was not super easy to get to, and a little confusing to find, with several turns to make from the interstate.”

• The layout was very nice and it was quiet.
• All rooms have only one bed.

“We really thought that the hotel was very nice, however, they were recovering from a fire and resulting water damage while we were there so the lobby and check in area were torn up, carpets out, fans running, etc. I think that it is more appropriate for couples traveling or for business travel rather than a family weekend trip as there was no option for additional sleeping arrangements. We were told that all of the rooms have identical accommodations-one queen size bed.”

• It was filled with ethnic families who were rude and the rooms only have one bed - no fold out so we had to get an additional room or sleep together!

“For families or long term stays, the Candlewood Suites provides home-away-from-home living. It is similar to many hotels of it's type. Clean, nice kitchenettes, comfortable furniture, but it was the little extras that set it apart. Extras include free VHS rentals & players, popcorn in the microwave, a dishwasher in the room and a small on site grocery store with reasonably priced items.”

• I like the kitchenette that the hotel room has.
• There was nothing I did not like about this hotel.

“This Candlewood Suites location is located in the heart of Brentwood, Tennessee. The hotel rooms feature kitchenettes with a refrigerator, stove, microwave oven, dishwasher, as well as a garbage disposal. The room are very nice and well decorated.”

“I had requested a room that was non smoking for 4. We ended up in a smoking room with cigarettes (used) under the bed, one bed and the staff had NO extra blankets. They gave us a sheet, two bedspreads and a mattress pad to sleep on the floor. The room was permeated with smoke and we were told they couldn't move us. They brought us a ozone (air cleaner) machine to use. We ran it only to feel bad thru the night and I got up to read that it CAN NOT be used in an occupied area and is only for large areas, not enclosed small rooms. It read that it was hazardous to use in this manner. I had two 13 year olds and an 18 month old with me, this could have been extremely bad. The air conditioner leaked all over the floor, the carpeting in that area was wet which I am sure lent to the odor in the room as well (underlying mold). The room had not been dusted, every where that you touched you could remove a layer of dust and smoke residue. It was a horrible experience and the staff did NOTHING to correct the problems other than to actually make them worse. ”

• We requested a non-smoking room. The room smelled of old cigarettes with burn holes in the carpet and dirty a bathroom

“The hotel was convenient to the interstate in an quiet office area of town. The kitchenette was set up for two people with clean appliance and utensils. The general housekeeping was not thorough. The bathroom needed a better cleaning of the bathtub and dirty walls. The room was let to us as a non-smoking room however, the air freshener and burn holes in the carpet could not cover up its previous use.”

• The room was spacious and clean. We enjoyed the kitchen facilities. The location was nice as well.
• It was quite a walk from the single elevator to our room. Unsupervised children were playing on the exercise equipment.
