• Rooms were beautiful and well-appointed.
• Parking fees were expensive.

“This all-suites hotel exceeded my expectations for comfort. A luxurious bed, combined with a large bathroom including separate tub and shower, made this one of the nicer rooms I've stayed in recently. It would be a very nice place to stay for an extended period of time.”

• Loved the bed.
• We were charged $16.00/night to park in the hotel parking lot. Unexpected

“Rooms were nice, but bathrooms were very dated. Staff was pleasant, but no more than that. My only real complaint was that being charged $16.00/day for parking (not made aware of this when booking) is ridiculous. We would had stayed else where had we known this and would never recommend any hotel that charged it's guest to park!”

• Central location friendly staff allowed CIn at 11am.
• Hidden cost like valet 18 or self part at 16 per day.

“Great central location and one of the nicer hotels in midtown. Friendly staff made me feel very welcome...and even allowed me to check in early with no extra charge. Very nice 24 hour work out facility and a great in/outdoor pool. The only negative I feel the need to point out was only 2 options for parking self park and valet at 16 and 18 respectively. Great price to park if I was in New York but in Atlanta the majority of hotels have free parking.”

“I was very pleased with the friendly staff, who sent up courtesy tray of wine, pretzels, and fruit. In addition, the suites are very spacious and clean. The location in Midtown Atlanta is also very ideal. This was a great buy!!!!!”

Location was great - close to most midtown attractions, Georgia Tech, and within walking distance of several good restaurants! Would love to stay their again!”

• The rooms were very spacious with balconies and both bathtub AND shower!
• We ordered a bottle of wine and a smoothie from room service, and it took over 40 minutes to arrive.

“The hotel is in a great location in Midtown, Atlanta. The rooms are extremely large and the bathrooms are, as well. The bathroom amenities (shampoo, etc.) were from a well-known upscale brand and were plentiful. The only major problem was parking, which was very expensive.”

• No free parking or Internet.

“Great location, even saw Tom Waits at the Star bucks next door (he was in town for a show). There is a cheap parking lot next to the hotel which can save you quite a bit.”

• I liked it for the convenience to the Marta Station and Piedmont, since my stay was for the Peachtree Road Race.
• I thought the parking fee was rather expensive. I don't understand why parking is not included in the hotel fee.

“I definitely liked the hotel and the location. The staff was very friendly. I would stay here again and also recommend it to friends.”

• Spacious suite, comfortable bed, relatively cheap parking.
• We arrived a day early and tried to negotiate a cheaper rate than they stated, but they would not budge even at 10PM.

• The front desk staff and the valet we very nice.
• We asked for lines for the hide-a-bed and they were just laid on the bed for us to make.

• We loved the fact that it was a suite with a sitting area and wet bar w/frig. We also enjoyed being within walking distance to eating establishments.
• The only inconvenience was the renovation of the hotel restaurant.

“The Marriot Suites Midtown was a delight to stay at. The staff was friendly and accommodating We stayed for two nights and while we were there our air conditioner stopped working. When we reported it a maintenance man was at our room in literal minutes. He fixed it quickly and was very courteous. The hotel is also in walking distance of great eating in the morning and evening. It is flanked by Einstein Bros., Star bucks, and Shout. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to our friends.”

• The location was great, walking distance to food and Marta.
• Construction/renovation going on at hotel during our stay.

“This hotel is very close from the Art Museum, the MARTA, and nice restaurants. The MARTA station offers a shuttle to Atlantic Station, which is dining and shopping. Very nice comfortable suites, the staff was very courteous and helpful. Overall a very nice place to stay.”

• The bedding was glorious.

“The price we paid was fantastic, we made the reservation 5 minutes before we checked in. The hotel is in the heart of Midtown Atlanta and so convenient to everything. The room was spotless and well appointed. The bedding on the king sized bed was fluffy and down filled and full of pillows. It was a fantastic night.”

• The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on.
• Self parking was $16/day. Valet parking was $18/day. The price of the room should cover parking.

“The room was nice and spacious. bathroom was spacious with a separate tub and shower. the little balcony was neat. parking is a rip-off at $16 to $18/day. the hotel is in a great location for midtown - walking distance to restaurants and piedmont park.”

• Registered me on a lower # floor. Doing construction on the lobby bar.

“Great hotel. Great location. Parking is $18 a day which is about standard. The hotel registered me on a lower floor. Noise wasn't an issue.”

• Love the suite setup.
• Entrance to parking garage is tight, a sharp curve at the area where you insert the room key. Hard for SUV drivers.

• Late 4:00 check in on weekends. business center a joke.

“Lovely suite hotel in midtown, convenient to GA Tech and theatres. Living room area with TV, sofa, desk, sink and coffee area and desk. Bedroom with TV separated from living area by curtained French doors. White bed linens and duvet luxurious but bed tediously soft and uncomfortable. Bathroom Spartan but elegant. Granite rimmed soaking tub with separate shower stall and toilet area. Tiny balcony but ugly view. Staff great but checkout disastrous, only one staff member on hand. Room checkout available. No vending machines. Parking lot needs special area for vans and pickups. I would not want to stay at this hotel again because of the 4:00 check in and also because of this inflexibility.”

• Was hoping for a couple of other quality hotels for my bid.

“I have stayed here before and paid full price which is not unreasonable, but leverages the Marriott brand a little more than occasional deals at nearby high quality (Four Seasons is next door) hotels.”

“Although, the hotel appeared to be a nice one. It was difficult to get there and the people at the front desk repeatedly gave me incorrect directions! I was stranded by one of the cab drivers that I took at the hotel parking lot at a bus station.”

“I travel for work and for the price and location, this hotel is the best. The staff is great, very friendly and willing to help with anything that comes up. Rooms are very generous and well maintained though slightly worn at the edges (but overall this was not a problem and a very minor complaint). Bar and restaurant on site, both quiet but a nice place to relax after a day of work. Have stayed three time and have not been disappointed.”

“The hotel is conveniently located and the rooms are well designed. However, I tried to check-in at 1PM and was told the room was not ready, so I said I'd have lunch and come back at 2. I did and the room was still not ready. The was no "Do Not Disturb" sign in the room and the next morning, the maids assaulted the door at 10AM, as they yelled "HOUSEKEEPING!" When we asked them to come back in the afternoon, they ended up not cleaning the room at all. That night, when we pulled out the sofabed, we discovered that it had no sheets. We then called housekeeping and they just handed us sheets and we made it up - which was fine, but it just kind of added to the lack of service. Our room was also located next to an ice machine that sounded like a 747, and on the way to the pool/exercise area, so there was a lot of foot traffic outside our door.”

• The pool and jacuzzi area seemed in need of some TLC.

“We were very pleased with the overall appearance of the hotel. The room was very nice, and we enjoyed the suite set up. I would have liked to extend my stay, however, that was unfortunately not possible.”

• The room was spacious and clean. Hotel staff extremely friendly. Nice views.
• Food and bar prices expensive.

“This hotel is located smack dab in the heart of Midtown, one block from the Arts Center subway line. Museums, restaurants, shopping, and parks were all within walking distance. The room was divided into a separate living area and bedroom -- very spacious and clean with a great view. The concierge was especially helpful. I would definitely stay at the Marriott Suites again.”

• terrible mattress, did not bring air cleaner as promised, terrible shower head

“This hotel is ultra-convenient for a night on the town in Atlanta. The staff is extremely friendly although we requested an air-purifier that was promised but never delivered. The mattress and shower head were terribly dated. The drinks in the bar were fabulous.”
