“First of all, the housekeeping staff rates a 10+ excellent, friendly and an absolute joy. Have stayed here many times and until recent trip, enjoyed every visit. This time was a complete nightmare. Management dropped the ball on reservations and because I was handicapped and required a main floor room, management felt justified to disregard reservation and place me where they wanted just to keep me on main floor. The only apology or response I received to problems were after I tried to contact La Quinta Corporate. My concerns were then finally addressed by the Bend manager (who informed me La Quinta Corp. policy does not let customers talk with anyone but the site manager) While the site manager did apologize later, there was a significant failure to ever check with us during our 6 day stay or to even come out to the desk during check out despite being aware of the problem. During the follow up phone call, it became obvious why there was such a problem with this visit. Hopefully management will change their current direction of customer service here after this.” Jul 21, 2009 by

“I thought the hotel was great. The room was very neat. The staff was nice and the breakfast was great. Would stay at a La Qinta again for sure.” Dec 16, 2008 by

“The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. We liked the variety of breakfast items available, which was better than at most hotels we've used. We would definitely use this hotel again.” Aug 14, 2008 by

“Great hotel for traveling with family. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Fresh cookies, water, and coffee in lobby. Clean room. Fabulous overall!” Aug 4, 2008 by

“Overall, great customer service. Rooms were very clean, nice. Pool area was a nice break for travel -weary kids. They even had a little fenced - in grassy area where dogs/kids could play. Breakfast was great - Belgian waffles, clean breakfast room.” Jul 10, 2008 by

“Clean, convenient, good price, friendly staff, good complimentary breakfast, pool and spa was open for 24 hours.” Jan 3, 2008 by

“We enjoyed our stay, it was quiet and when we asked for less cushy pillows they delivered them to our room.” Dec 22, 2007 by

“This La Quinta was a relatively new moderate precede hotel. Everything was new and fresh. The staff was quite friendly and check in and out was not a problem. They placed in a room right next to vending machines and the ice machine and I was worried about the noise. However, once in the room there was no noise coming in through the walls or door. I think the textured walls detract from the appearance of the room. Overall though this was a clean facility and I would happily stay here again.” Nov 14, 2007 by

“Hotel staff was overworked but still very nice.” Aug 10, 2006 by

“Excellent spacious rooms, well trained staff, cookies at 7:00 p.m. Everything was good.” Jun 10, 2006 by

“This hotel is located on the south end of Bend, Oregon and affords easy access to the city. It is a clean, quiet location with a few amenities including free wireless Internet access, and a pool. This hotel is not particularly friendly to the handicapped as it has no elevator, requiring a person to carry their baggage up or down a flight of stairs.” May 10, 2006 by
Paul from Vancouver, WA
“We were greeted by friendly staff, a clean, nicely stocked room, convenient location, wonderful amenities--24 hr pool, exercise accommodations. The continental breakfast was very good. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the La Quinta” Apr 1, 2006 by
Linda from John Day, OR
“Pleasant, but room assigned was cramped for two adults and one dog, hotel is pet friendly, which is good, no microwave in cramped room, rooms with two queen beds do have more space and microwave, etc. Pool and hot tub are very nice, although hot tub has way too much chlorine added. Great waffle breakfast!” Dec 27, 2005 by
Becky from Mccall, ID
“Clean rooms at the south end of Bend. Don't be in a rush to get into your room, the electronic room keys are pretty finicky. The desk clerk confirmed this was the usual case.” Dec 4, 2005 by
Chad from San Francisco, CA
“This hotel has a great, central location. The pool is very nice and open 24 hours. The staff is incredibly friendly, professional and helpful with requests. The hotel was either new construction or newly remodeled and the rooms were quite nice. The only thing that detracted from my enjoyment was the paper thin walls that carried even soft conversation and foot step noises from the adjacent guest's room. That aside, this hotel is an excellent value with free breakfast, internet access & parking.” Nov 14, 2005 by
Kim from Mandeville, LA
“It was all right. Older facility that shows its age. The actual location within Bend is not desirable.” Jul 1, 2005 by
Lillian from Albany, OR
“This hotel is located at the south end of Bend. Easy to get on and off the new parkway. Hotel staff was a bit too casual but friendly. Breakfast room was poorly attended. The tables were not frequently cleaned and several items ran out before being restocked.” Jun 28, 2005 by
John from Mckinleyville, CA

“Overall the hotel was nice, however the room I had was on the first floor which was daylight basement level and overlooked undesirable housing. I felt a little unsafe because my window was ground level and didn't have security bars etc. I was also right across from hotel laundry room and ice machines. Very noisy in the morning when maids were going back and forth.” May 5, 2005 by
Eugene from Fair Oaks, CA
“Good place to stay if you are not a really demanding traveler. Good deal for the price.” Mar 15, 2005 by
Lawrence from Portland, OR
“Clean and new hotel. friendly staff. Comfortable stay. Was too tired to enjoy the hot tub after the drive, but some friends really liked it. The waffle breakfast was a big plus, since we spent that day at Bachelor. Only drawback was the directions. I called the hotel, and I was lost in bend, and the guy at the desk didn't help me get a handle on MY location. Simply told me to keep driving, and it would be across from the wal-mark. Problem was, as it turned out, I was going in the opposite direction. Aside from that, however, all was good.” Feb 2, 2005 by
Emily from Portland, OR
“For the type of hotel this is (moderate/affordable national chain), it is excellent. Everything was nicely done and in clean condition. It had all the usual amenities. Plus, the hot tub/pool was open 24 hours, the continental breakfast was above average, and check in/checkout was very fast and easy. I would absolutely stay there again.”
