“Good location and access to freeway. Close to food and shopping. Good value for the buck. Nice courtyard and swimming pool. Bowling alley behind the hotel and plenty of parking. Would stay there again.” Nov 14, 2005 by
Jt from El Cajon, CA
“The last three hotel stays I've purchased with were terrible. I am becoming very disenchanted with the service, for both flights and hotels, and will likely discontinue using..” Nov 3, 2005 by
Ren from Placentia, CA
“The room is good and the breakfast is good (and free) also. The staff is friendly.” Oct 5, 2005 by
Laloo from San Diego, CA
“Nice spacious rooms, plenty of parking, close to fast food places and Highway 99. Good location overall, full cable. Quite good for 1 star.” Sep 19, 2005 by
Terry L. from Auberry, CA
“Great location. Room was clean and comfortable. Desk staff were cold and disinterested. Their phone rang without interest. Pool was trashed and spa was gated off. Has potential but poorly managed. The signs are obvious.” Aug 21, 2005 by
Darlene from Charlton, MA
“would never stay there” Jul 21, 2005 by
Alan from Oceanside, CA
“Paper machine didn't work. No refund offered by hotel. Only waffles for breakfast. No iron or ice bucket in room. Rooms were very large and newly remodeled.” Jul 20, 2005 by
Shawna from Republic, MO
“I was not fond of this hotel. My room overlooked the nearby bar/bowling alley so it was very loud. Also, the air conditioning never really cooled down the incredibly hot room.” Jul 5, 2005 by
Jackie from Pacifica, CA
“Great for the price. Easy to find. Relatively clean.” Jun 29, 2005 by
Alan from Sun Valley, CA
“All-in-all I had a very pleasant experience. The staff was very helpful& friendly. I was allowed a little extra time to checkout. All amenities were working & fairly convenient. The Value was excellent. I would certainly consider this hotel first for any future stays.” Jan 11, 2005 by
Tina from Mesa, AZ
“It was not Animal Kingdom as listed above. It was another name. The hotel is under construction and new Management. It was very loud as it is next to a freeway. The area has lots of good eating spots, and a bowling alley, but I wouldn't walk around there at nignt. The first room we got had plumbing problems. Out the window there was still Fire department tape on one of the pillars, as I gues they must have had a fire. It looked as if someone ran into the pillar with a car! blankets are nappy, one earwig in the bathroom. Fridgerator broken. Phone kept disconnecting me from the internet. The second room was better....poolside, quieter, the bed sunk down in the middle but it was comfy. The hotel staff was great very accomodating and the waffles were great. ” Dec 15, 2004 by
Daniel F. from Jackson “I expected a much higher quality hotel. It all seemed cheaply made and poorly maintained.” Dec 6, 2004 by
Seron Y. from San Luis Obispo “The hotel we stayed is very old from the look of it, they didn't have enough staff, room looked like it hadn't been vacuumed and we couldn't get an iron. Also the pipes whaled everytime you went to use the bathroom sink. We don't recommend this hotel.” Dec 4, 2004 by
James H. from Fairbanks “The hotel was very run down. We switched rooms because there was an overwhelming smell of bleach. Also, the "free wireless internet" did not work.” Nov 10, 2004 by
“Frankly, I was disappointed with my room. Room # 377. This was my 3rd visit to Best Value Bakersfield and this room was not as nice as previous visits. There was no desk lamp and no clock or clock radio. The bathroom faucet leaked and was staining and wearing the sink. The most disturbing thing was the sheets had a sandy substance on them. If you stay there, mention your concerns and ask to see your room prior to checking in.” Oct 13, 2004 by
“On the freeway. The map shows 2 blocks off. Very nice room. Nice pool.” Hotel Representatives:
