• Bed was very comfortable, work area well done.
• Wanted to have a minimal breakfast & pool or hot tub was available.

“Very well maintained and nicely appointed rooms. Roomy bath, kitchen facilities & in room business area. Expensive snack food pantry and no breakfast was available. Laundry is handy. Many restaurants were nearby. Entrance is a bit tricky. It is just right for long term stays.”

• The kitchen facilities were quite good and helpful.
• The front desk person, specifically was a really not nice on several occasions.

“Customer service of all staff was extremely sub-par, and in fact, was overtly hostile starting with a phone call for directions, check-in, interaction based on staying an extra day on the weekend (they/she acted as if I had committed a felony - there was plenty of room at the Inn and I was perfectly cordial on my end), a request to simply empty the trash containers which were full "there is a dumpster outside. Here, you can have some extra liners. That from the maid. In short, the staff was simply horrific. Worst I have seen. And, I told them when I signed in that I was going to get engaged in their hotel room, with a big smile on my face. No response. No congrats, nothing offered except "we do not do anything for special occasions with a completely flat facial expression." Should have stayed at the Motel 6 down the street for 43.99/night.”

• Absolutely wonderful room layout. The bathroom was a delight.
• Wish it had a pool!

“With spacious rooms and a relatively well stocked kitchenette, this is the perfect place to stay. This was one of the relaxing stays I have had at a hotel. The smoking rooms were kept pleasantly far from the non-smoking rooms, so everything smelled fresh and clean.”

• The room was perfect for our accommodations.
• The outside of the hotel did not look good.

“Although the hotel appeared to be nothing fancy from the outside, the room was very nice. It ended up being perfect for our trip.”

• It was very quiet and a good value.
• The hotel staff didn't seem too friendly and didn't seem to willing to help out.

“A very good value. Easy to find, since it's right off of I-40. It was quiet and the bed seemed plenty comfortable. I thought the hotel staff could of been a little more helpful. The rooms were kept up well and were very clean. I would recommend it to others.”

• The gated parking lot and spacious closet and bed.
• They had elevators only in the center of the hotel not on the end of the building.

“We found this hotel to be just well taken care of. The staff was excellent. This would definitely be a place I would consider if I needed a longer stay. It was very comfortable and spacious. Loved the "lazy boy" type chair in the room. It was wonderful.”

• I liked the kitchen with the large fridge and stove. It felt homey.
• Didn't have a pool or breakfasts.

“The hotel was awesome. The concierge was a great help in faxing documents at no charge for my business matters. I stayed with my wife and the beds were comfortable and free movies at the front desk were great. The location was close to the freeways and a couple of eating joints.”

• I loved having a suite and the location was perfect.
• They only let me stay 3 nights.

“The next 2 nights, it was awful. However the Candlewood experience was very pleasant and I wish they would have accepted my 2 night extension.”

• Great location. Friendly staff. Incredible value.
• The only negative was the heating, A/C unit which was noisy and pretty breezy.

• We were given the worst/smallest room in the place (clerk said so) to make us "upgrade".

• Free internet, free laundry, free cookies, free movies and new.
• Small, but comfortable bed, Bug in room.

“Good hotel, but not family friendly. If you have kids, probably not a hotel for you. I asked for a sofa bed, that would cost me more than the room itself. One small bed was not enough for two plus a child. On the positive, clean room and comfortable bed. Free high speed internet and free movie rentals was nice. So was the free laundry and workout room.”

• For extended stay customers they did not do daily cleaning, making the beds, etc.

“I liked it. The bed was very comfortable. For extended stay customers they did not do daily cleaning. That's the first time I've ever experienced that with a hotel. I had to get clean towels at the desk, and left dirty ones outside my door. But other than that I liked it. It had a full size refrigerator which was very nice. It was conveniently located to everything.”

• Loved that they had a little store there on sight and that you could rent a movie from the front desk.
• I only wished that they had a hot tub.

“I really loved my stay there. My bed was very comfortable and I really enjoyed after a long day sitting in the leather recliner with popcorn and a movie that I only had to walk down the hall to get.”

• All rooms have only one bed. Not so great for families.

• The free laundry, honor system store, and quality of room.
• Loved everything. Would not change anything.

“The hotel was much nicer than I expected it to be. I have stayed in other extended stay places and candlewood far exceeded my expectation. What a delight to be able to wash and dry my laundry free of charge. The mattress on the bed was better than the one I sleep on at homemade me buy a new mattress). The towels were exceptional quality. To have a store with a Honor system was a pleasant surprise. I applaud candlewood for making our stay a pleasant experience. Wish other extended stays were as nice.”

• Bed was comfortable and room was decent.
• Horrible location, one of the highest auto burglary areas of ABQ, staff not very helpful, no daily housekeeping service.

“This hotel is located in an unsafe area. This location has a long history of auto burglary! Please be warned that if you stay here, you're car will probably be broken into! The hotel itself is decent and caters to the long term visitor as it has a full kitchen in the suites. However, it doesn't have daily housekeeping services, they come weekly. The bed was comfortable and the room was pretty clean. Just be aware of security here before you book!”

• Easy access from the 2 main high ways in the location.
• Didn't have a pool, checking time is at 3pm.and they were late with the room.

“The facility is clean, the service and staff were friendly, the laundry accommodation and service snack (like a little shop) was and excellent idea. The carpet on the corridors needs a little bit of attention somebody could trip and fall (in the whole facility).”

• Very convenient to nearby shopping and restaurants, great work out facility, could check out movies for free, has a honor system little store.
• I was there for a convention with my boss who is also female, we were sharing our room which only had only one queen size bed in room.

“Would have been perfect if it had two beds. We were there for 3 days and it was like our home away from home. Would like to stress that your accommodations are basic which includes 2 beds usually so I was not prepared to share a bed with my boss. She actually slept on the floor.”

• Could be a bit difficult to find, but was not an issue for us.

“When I checked in, a non-smoking room was unavailable. I had to call the manager to get one. I moved to the new room, and the next morning housekeeping barged in on me at 9am (even though I had been told I wouldn't receive housekeeping because my stay was too short), and they told me I had to check out that day and switch rooms. This is ridiculous. I checked with the front desk, and they acted like this was normal procedure to make a customer with a 2-night stay change rooms and allow housekeeping to barge in early in the morning.”

• Towels were not picked up .Had to go get some, was told house keeping comes by once a week.

“It was a great price for the 2 days we stayed .Jennifer at the front desk was very personal and professional that in it self makes a good stay. Reason being that if any thing is needed you know the front desk is approachable and want to help.”
