• Proximity to Dallas Galleria.
• Parking spaces are too narrow and crowded.

“Speaking of narrow parking spaces, we got our brand new car dinged the first night and the second night we had to park on the nearby parking lot because of the hotel parking spaces were full of wedding party cars (the reception took place in this hotel and most attendees left around 2AM). They should widen the parking spaces. Yes, we could have parked behind the hotel. However, the security person patrolling the area around the hotel works till 2AM, only.”

• Doubletree has been a top notch hotel every time I have used them!
• The doors to the rooms were very noisy and woke you up at night slamming shut.

“Great hotel with all the comforts you would expect and then some. From piping hot cookies handed to you at check in to the nice common areas with free internet access there. Location was very convenient with shopping and restaurants nearby and friendly staff made it a very pleasant stay. And the price was awesome!”

• It was clean, and beds were comfy.

“Well the eating joints could have been cheaper, but hey, I didnt eat there, so it was my option and they had several very cute front desk clerks. I didnt ask any out, but they were very pleasant to talk to and very helpful.”

• The beds were extremely cozy. Very nice and clean.
• The toilet could have used some cleaning up. There were "skid marks" in the toilet from the last user.

• The down pillows were heavenly!
• I didn't appreciate them trying to sell me a $3.00 bottle of water in my room.

“My wife and I stayed there for a romantic getaway weekend in Dallas. The hotel was clean and exceptionally comfortable. The staff was friendly and efficient. Getting checked in was a breeze and they even gave us warm chocolate-chip cookies upon arrival. A welcome treat after fighting Dallas rush-hour traffic!”

“The Doubletree near the Galleria is a typical doubletree hotel. The rooms seem to be recently renovated, and the beds are extremely comfortable. The location of the hotel is very convenient for any traveler to the Galleria or Addison area.”

• Convenient location, no check in or check out problems.
• Bad smell in lower lobby going toward pool.

“This conveniently located hotel has a spacious lobby and a decent pool and workout facility. The rooms were clean--not large, but adequate. In general appearance, the hotel could use a bit of sprucing up. We didn't see many diners, and we experienced a very unpleasant smell when going to the pool, near the downstairs fountain.”

• The staff was very accommodating.
• Location, condition of the very small pool.

“The staff was great. The location of the hotel though was not too great and our room was overlooking a vacant, dirty parking lot. We requested to move because even though this room was non smoking, they put us right there on the verge of smoking rooms to where our room was still filled with the smell of cigarettes. The pool was small and dirty. Comfortable mattresses.”

“Pleasant stay. Very friendly staff. The hotel is old and they have tried to update it. Excepting the bathroom and the ceilings, it looks nice. I'd stay there again for the price I paid.”

• The staff was amazing. They made us feel like celebrities.
• I cannot think of anything that I would say I did not like.

“From the moment that we entered the hotel we were amazed. The staff was awesome. They did everything in their power to make us feel welcome. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. We will definitely stay here again.”

• The staff was very helpful upon check-in.
• The grout in the shower looked moldy when wet.

“It was a nice hotel. I could tell that it was set up for business travelers. The bed was way too soft for me and the lighting in the vanity area was insufficient. The wireless internet did not work. But saying that the staff was outstanding and I would probably stay there again.”

“This Doubletree Hotel has been there for years. The rooms have been updated, except for the tubs. The linens were very clean and attractive. They put us on the second floor with lobby below us so there was no problem with the noise our children make to the people below. We also had a great view! This is a great hotel and the warm cookies are wonderful at check in!”

• Upon checking in you received coupons for warm cookies.
• Difficult to get to not knowing the area, esp. at night, could've used more signs at entrances.

“Hard to get to at night, not knowing the area parking lots, actually ended up going in the back of the hotel, then had to drive around front. Warm cookies upon check in was a big hit. Everyone was friendly and pleasant. ”

“Checked in Friday night, checking was really fast. The beds were extremely comfortable. A nice restraint across the street and Wal-Mart next door were very convent. They had a great in-room movie selection. I would defiantly stay here again!”

• They were remodeling on our floor and the room was out dated it was like staying in a quality inn room.

“It was to be a romantic join up with my husband; the room disappointed me and him. When we got off the elev. There was caution tape with supplies everywhere; spare rooms were marked as storage we had to walk around it to find our room.”

• Remodeling, construction, chemical fumes, broken items in room.

“The overall appearance of the hotel was acceptable, however - we were placed on a floor being remodeled. Was like being in a construction zone. Ice machines and soda machines did not work on floor, Soda machines did not work on the floor above. Had to go 2 floors to get sodas. Chemical fumes were strong in the hallways. The beds were uncomfortable, items were broken in room, but when reported, they were repaired very quickly.”

“The overall quality of the hotel was superb. The rooms were much smaller than expected for a Doubletree hotel. The staff was about the only bright spot of the place. They were friendly and helpful. Overall I would not stay in this hotel again.”

• Room had no air conditioning and the security guard made it right.
• The rooms were different and needed remodeling.

“My husband checked in before I arrived in town and sat in a hot room for 3 hours. When I finally arrived we asked the front desk for a new room, that room was also 80+ degrees. The night security guard was very helpful and went back to the front desk and got us a 3rd room. The 3rd room was the nicest of the 2 previous rooms. Guess you get what you pay for.”
