• Rooms were decorated awesome, free breakfast was excellent.
• Nothing.

“This hotel will be our favorite hotel in the Dulles Airport area. The decoration was upscale, modern. Staff was delightful, rooms were large almost like a studio with a pull out sectional sofa with an ottoman and large cotton throw. Large flat screen TV could swivel to the sofa or bedroom. Superb for Priceline price. Good restaurants across parking lot and they offer a 10% discount for hotel guests.”

• Clean, comfortable, and friendly staff.
• Heater/AC a bit noisy, parking lot treacherous (ice storm).

“Comfortable accommodations, nearby to restaurants. There was an ice/snow storm. While the immediate portico area was cleaned, the parking lots were not and were extremely treacherous to get to one's vehicle.”

“The hotel was great for our quick overnight stay. Unfortunately we were not able to enjoy the available services because our stay was so short. Clean, well kept, trendy hotel. Very Nice!”

• Peaceful - quiet - friendly - clean - new and liked the shopping center nearby.
• Van service to airport only once an hour and the shuttle stops at 10 pm - I had to take alternative transportation which cost me more.

“Enjoyed it very much in all ways. The only thing I did not like was the van not running past 10 pm and only once an hour when it is running.”

• Large screen TV, comfy beds and really large rooms.
• Wireless internet in my room was terrible and they did nothing about it.

“It's a great business hotel. If you need internet access, it's only available via wireless. If your room doesn't get good access, you're sol and/or you'll have to relocate to the lobby to get a decent signal. Otherwise, everything is fine. Free breakfast is a bit skimpy, but you get what you paid for.”

• The design of the rooms and lobby was excellent and well thought out.
• The wireless internet was so slow it was useless. Housekeeping came far too early watch morning.

“The Hyatt Place is comfortable, beautifully designed, and well thought out. The location is right near the intersection of major freeways, providing easy access to Dulles and DC. The staff was extremely helpful, and check-in/out can be completed at a touch-screen kiosk. Many choices of excellent food within walking distance. Internet is wireless and free but the speed issues render it useless. Highly recommended for all except those planning to use the web.”

• The room design; so plush. As a Hyatt gold passport member, the Hyatt Place room was definitely better than the original Hyatt room I have stayed at.
• I believe there was no gym at this location. I did not ask, but it was not listed.

“A truly beautiful concept, the interior decor is contemporary and the rooms are fully furnished. Oh my god! I will be remised if I forget to write about the 42" flat screen TV and a refrigerator in the room.”

• Decor and cleanliness and friendly staff.
• Very noisy interior hallways. You can hear everything.

“Absolutely beautiful hotel. Very clean and fresh. Unfortunately the wine bar was not open. Loved the huge flat screen TV. Very comfortable room in every aspect. The only drawback was the fact that the hallways funnel noise. You could hear every footstep and door slam and conversation. It was other guests that were noisy, not the staff. I guess there's nothing to do about that besides soundproofing the front of the rooms. Otherwise a perfect experience, loved the hotel.”

• The bed was comfy.
• Even though it says it is an airport hotel it is not.

“I had to dish out an additional 50bucks for a cab to the airport, because their shuttle can not get you to the airport before 6:30am. I could have stayed much closer to the airport in a nicer hotel for the difference.”

• The rooms were spacious and had sofa and refrigerator.
• The bathroom was not very convenient, the sink was in another area.

“OK to just sleep for a night. Good breakfast. There was renovation going on that was very inconvenient and spoiled the lobby look and feel.”

• The rooms were very spacious and the staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful.
• The fact they were renovating.

“The hotel was renovating so there was nor restaurant or a lobby. The was internet access in the room but not a courtesy computer for guest use. Other than that the rooms were great the staff was great and the free shuttle service to various attractions and the airport was great. I would stay there again if it was completed. The hotel was going through the renovation.”

• Very spacious rooms, hot breakfast, free wireless internet.
• Under renovation, nothing but room and breakfast area available.

“This hotel is currently under interior renovation. Thus, I can only comment on the room and breakfast. No business facilities or any other facilities of any kind are available except for shuttle to Dulles. The room, however, is well equipped with a very large swivel flat screen TV to which you can connect any device. The room is practically a suite with bedroom area divided into a living area with a large couch, counter sink next to coffee station and small fridge, working desk opposite. Two phones are available. There were four nice prints framed in the room, bath area spacious with very large counter. Extra outlets etc. Decor done in beige, browns, light olive green, black. Hot breakfast area is located for the interim in a small room but still boasts something for everyone. Small shopping center and Westfield's Conference Center very close. Shuttle to Dulles.”

• Friendly staff, great location, deluxe accommodations.
• Construction going on so dining facility was not available.

“Will definitely stay here again if I'm in the area. Awesomely friendly staff, extremely helpful. Accommodations were perfect right down to the 40 inch flat screen television. They were working on their dining facility but breakfast was still available and the hotel is within walking distance of several restaurants and eateries so there was no real inconvenience. Love this hotel and will definitely recommend it to anyone needing to stay in the area.”

• The room was lovely, just not complete.
• Waited for coffee for over 20 minutes, and ended up going to a local conv. Store for coffee.

“While the room was lovely, it was not completely finished. The lobby was still undergoing "reconstruction" and no where in the world does coffee take better than 20 minutes to brew. I like the home places overall, this one was not really ready for business.”

• Property is nice. 42" flat screen TV. Front desk courteous, friendly.
• Injured big toe in bath with nail sticking out. Lower level staff helpful & apologized, but manager did not even apologize/acknowledge guest.

“Manager needs people skills and be educated on how to deliver excellent customer service. Front desk, housekeeping and maintenance personnel are all very friendly and helpful. Property is very nice. Has a huge 42" flat screen TV and has sofa bed for extended family.”

• It was very clean.
• The room had 2 beds which made the room crowded. I requested room change and was very uncomfortable and the Hispanic staff refuses to accommodate me.

• Real mugs, spacious rooms, flat screen TV, laptop plus at desk and bed, great breakfast for any kind of person, good art, comfortable bed, and quiet.
• Low luggage space, only dry coffee creamer in room, checkout posted as noon, but on itinerary it is 11. Very dark leather furniture-patched.

“For the business traveler who needs and wants everything handy and quality minded, this is an excellent choice, or for a small family that needs a lot of room space. Conference center, post office, restaurants nearby. Airport shuttle on the hour. Fast check in and express checkout, friendly staff. Inside, noise melts away to a spacious, quiet room where you can plug in at the business desk on the bed with a huge flat screen high def TV with everything -although a bit short on luggage space, the room sports real mugs and glasses, room coffee and tea, although liquid Cramer is missing. You don't have to been fancy here for excellent service. The only problem - once you hit the bed and the room, you may not want to leave.”

• I didn't like one single thing about the hotel. Disgusting.
• Terrible odor in hallways. Hair in bathtub. Bed not comfortable. Sheets bad.

“I would not recommend this hotel to anyone I know. Sheets were cheap as was rest of bedding. Bedroom was not adequately cleaned. Checkout way too early (11am). I was completely disappointed.”

• There was a teenage group on my floor which made lots of noise one night.

“This was my second stay here and likely my last. The room did not appear to have been vacuumed - at all. Ashtray w/butts spilled under the side table, crackers and a condom wrapper by the side of the bed. For almost 2 days, the lobby smelled like backed up sewage. Pretty disgusting.”

• The police guard on my floor was a nice touch and she spoke English.
• Police guard was necessary in the first place.

“On my second day, I was able to get hot water in the shower after an 11 minute wait. The first day the maid never did appear. On the third day we needed a police guard to sit in the hallway, to insure order. The morning breakfast was nicely presented and warm, but synthetic eggs and mystery meat patties were difficult. If this is a 2.5 star hotel, the Virginia State Penetentary must rate at least 1.5.”

• Friendly staff.
• The price is very high.

“Decent, clean hotel that is near Dulles Airport and Westfield's Conference Center. Shuttle to airport is included, and I have used it every time I have stayed there. My only gripe is the cost. I am not traveling on an expense account, so I pay the full cost, which is very high during the Sunday night through Thursday night work week. I have stayed at nicer hotels in DC that cost less, but for convenience, I need to stay at this hotel so I must pay the high price.”

• Close to airport.
• Staff gave us a hard time about price we paid. We were told that parking was free when we called in August but tried to charge $30 on check in.

“Think the staff is trying to charge people a flat $30 for parking and management may not be aware. Because when I told them we called in August and were told parking was free she didn't say anything and did not ask for the money again. ”
