• I really liked that they had free Wi-fi internet service as well as free printing.
• The room was very dreary and smelled like smoke. It made us not want to be in our room.

“There were a few amenities that I really liked such as free Wi-fi and printing. The front lobby was nice. However the hallways and rooms had not been updated in some time so they looked very dreary. It just seemed like its in need of a renovation.”

• Other guests given keys to my room, reservation not honored, breakfast cold & incomplete, rude staff.

“Worst hotel stay. Reserved king non-smoking, was given doubles, smoking. Took one hour to change rooms to another double non-smoking. Other guests came into my room at night with keys given them by the front desk. $17 breakfast completely cold, toast missing. Called for toast and was given to plain pieces of untested bread out of the bag. Loud, smelly hotel. Could hear people in the adjacent rooms and walking on the floor above. Unprofessional staff. Smelled like people smoking pot next door, called the front desk, but nothing was done about it. No apology or any recompense offered me from the hotel for all these problems.”

• Beds were very good.
• Rooms need to be updated (TV) parking.

“Rooms appear to have a "standard room¿ feel and need to be modernized (plasma TV) (shower facilities) (fixtures) only thing that I found as excellent were the beds. Overall, I would not choose this hotel in the future. Front desk personal were somewhat unprofessional including management (not friendly at all).”

• The pool and hot tub, closed for some reason, has scaffolding and ropes in front of view at times.

• The bed and sheets were very comfortable.
• Old, no sound proofing, staff wasn't pleasant.

“He must've said it 3 times, as if to emphasize I did not pay full price. He was not particularly friendly and seemed impatient with describing where to park the car. Other than that, the hotel was located in a decent area, not extremely convenient if you do not have a car, but a little quieter. There is self parking available for $17, or valet for more. The hotel seemed old, and the bathroom felt like a small closet. Having said that, the room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. There is virtually no sound-proofing as I could hear people down the hall, opening/closing doors, talking, etc.”

• Luxury bed linens, razor, shaving creme, many little extra touches.
• Snug bedroom, especially the tiny bathroom. $15.00 Parking.

“Centrally close to everything on the Westside. The beds rival the Westin. Every little travel kit necessity was in the bath including a toothbrush. The very friendly staff presented me with a lovely chocolate dessert delivered to my room for my birthday. Very clean room, soothing music, super service. A find.”

• No HBO, no movies to buy, my favorite part of hotel stays, very disappointing. Also, could not dine, restaurant very hot, no air.

“A fine hotel for a quick stay. Nice room. No movies or HBO! Pool mediocre. Neighborhood safe but shabby. The staff and room made it worth the money!”

“This hotel is conveniently located to the i405 expressway, to the center of Beverly hills, and easy access to the theaters and Lacma. Nice neighborhood to walk in with short walk to shops and restaurants.”

“We arrived at 12:30 am so it was good to be able to check in late. However, we were given a room adjoining another through a single door; it was easy to hear the TV on in their room, even at 1:30 am. Then we were awoken early the next morning by the next-door neighbor smoking (!) And speaking loudly into the phone. I had to wedge a towel down by the bottom of the door to muffle the noise and smoke smell. Upon checkout the desk person didn't ask how our stay was so we didn't really have an opportunity to complain.”

• Location is kind of far from d/t if you don¿t have a car.

“There was plenty to do in the hotel facility, and really liked the idea of the in-room masseuse (although I never got to utilize that). I was always looking to see if the concierge was at his desk and only saw him once, however. The front line staff at the desk and the valet was more than helpful for any questions we had. I more than likely will return if I go back to the la area.”

• They would not do a half order in the restaurant for my 9 year old. The food was only fair.

“The hotel was easy to find and the front desk people were pleasant. The room looked average but the beds were very comfortable. The restaurant was over priced for what was only fair quality food. Though they had a children's menu, it was very limited and they refused to do a half order off the regular menu.”

• Very comfortable beds with pillow tops, large pool, close to everything.
• All non-smoking rooms were booked; we had to take a smoking room.

“We were surprised that this was listed as a "three star" hotel. It comes very close to being a 4 star - especially compared to the dirty/trashy Ramada in west Hollywood that is listed as a 3 star.”

• Noise level from street below. Even lout on the 7th floor.

“The lobby and rooms were nicely appointed felt like a good 3 star hotel. The only downside was that I was on the 7th floor and you could hear all the traffic on the street below. I was awoken by a car horn.”

• $15 parking, but that's la for you!

“My girlfriend and I only stayed one night, but we were extremely happy with our room. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and our area was quiet. My girlfriend especially liked the gift bag the hotel laid-out on the bed it included different lotions, a night mask, etc. We'd definitely stay there again. A great stay.”

• Its location sort of I got lost finding it in the middle of the night.
• I was expecting a really nice hotel for regular price of 200 a night but it was dingy.

• Fairly convenient location and fairly friendly staff.
• Parking is overpriced $15/night; room is cramped (can barely walk between TV cabinet and bed); outdated and needing a major renovation!

“This hotel needs a major updating of its rooms. They are cramped, with 1970s cottage-cheese ceilings, cramped bathrooms, old-style cart televisions in bulky cabinets opposite the bed so that one can barely squeeze between them. Parking is ridiculous at $15/night for this location. Bed was comfortable, however. Wireless rather than Ethernet-cabled internet would make connection easier.”

“This hotel was conveniently located at the southern boundary of Beverly hills just a few blocks away from rodeo drive. The crowned plaza was an older hotel which appears to have undergone some renovations, however, I found some of the renovations poorly done (especially in the bathrooms). Everywhere in the hotel felt really cramped...ceilings were low, elevators were small, and bathrooms were cramped. This hotel offered free internet but the speed was extremely slow in the morning...slower than dial up. It took 5 minutes to load up a webpage. The crowned plaza also did not offer any pay per view channels, only cable television. I would not recommend this location for the amount it costs, especially if you don't book through it!”

• The free wireless internet access was a great bonus.
• Tiny bathroom.

“Although it was immediately apparent that I was traveling with my partner, the reception staff assigned us a room with 2 single beds rather than a king or queen bed. Unfortunately, both of us were so tired after a full day of traveling that we couldn't be bothered to change our room. Apart from this, we were generally fairly pleased with the quality of the hotel.”

• The beds were very comfortable and the sleep kit they provide was appreciated.
• The huge plasma screen TV in the elevator waiting area seemed odd and out of place.

“Very comfy beds, clean rooms, and a $10 cab ride from our destination to the hotel. The continental breakfast was unimpressive and we never took advantage of it. Luckily, there are several nice restaurants within a couple blocks walking distance for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.”

“The Crown Plaza is in a central location, close to Beverly Hills, Hollywood, WeHo. The hotel has seen better days - the carpets and furniture look worn. It is outfitted with the current Crown Plaza amenities (new bedding, sleep package, curved shower curtain rod,...).The staff is helpful. Parking is right next to hotel (self park; valet appears over worked and slow most of the time). Received free breakfast and reduced parking as Gold Priority Club member.”

• The location and the emphasis on good sleep.
• They censor their internet access.

“A very good location and comfortable rooms, if a little stuffy, overworked. Amazingly the hotel chain, at corporate level, have decided to access the internet access available throughout the hotel, so do not go here if you cherish your civil liberties and would prefer not to be told what to look at on line. Staff were unable to explain why this decision was taken.”

• The cleanliness of the room.
• The hotel staff was kind of discriminating, considering that I did not pay full price for the hotel. They were unsure how to process the reservation.

“Hotel is very clean and conveniently located. The check in staff was a little snobbish. It took them awhile and they were unsure how to process the reservation, They assigned a smoking-room and did not offer a non-smoking room. I would have preferred the later. They did not tell of the services available nor offered parking service. I had to request for a permit and the cost was about $15 per day. Otherwise, the beds were very comfortable and doorman staff were very friendly.”

• An attractive and efficient hotel well placed in Beverly Hills.
• Nothing to dislike.

“This is an attractive business-class hotel in the Jewish center of the Wilshire district in Beverly Hills. There are synagogs and deli's in the neighborhood. It is a safe area, with both expensive and inexpensive restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. We ate at Ruth Chris Steakhouse and it was fantastic. The hotel is relaxed. The staff is friendly. The gym and pool were clean and functional. In my opinion it is an excellent value.”
