“We stayed in a regular room (so I can't comment on the the theme rooms). It was older, but clean and felt updated as far as paint, bedding and bathroom fixtures went. They had a nice buffet breakfast, considering it was free, with omelets and sausages (on a steam table), make your own waffles, cold cereal, yogurt, baked beans! (maybe it is a Maine thing), some fruit (bananas and oranges) and bagels, toast and some insipid pastries. Check in and out was quick--staff were courteous.” Aug 12, 2009 by

“The motel room was old, but clean. However, the room had a strange musty odor, like your grandmother's old wooden dresser--damp and musty. Across the highway is a huge landfill site that has a very unpleasant odor if the breeze is blowing a certain way. Sickening really--huge turnoff, which is a shame, because I am sure this motel must have been really something in its day. The room was convenient for us with our dog, as it was ground level. Another plus about this motel is that wide paths were mowed in a bordering field and the dog really liked walking on the long and meandering path. I thought it was a bit much to charge us $10 for the dog and another $10 for my 21yr old daughter who stayed in the room with us. The public areas were well-cared for, clean and pleasant. The breakfast was second to none and the hot tub was absolutely wonderful.” Jul 2, 2008 by

“Nice clean hotel with decent rooms. Easy access from i-95.” Jun 8, 2008 by

“This is just an ok hotel. Nothing fancy, clean room, business center, and continental breakfast.” May 25, 2008 by
Emma from Brentwood, TN
“This hotel is not for those who require or expect luxury or nearby shopping and amenities, but overall, this was one of the friendliest, most accommodating places we stayed in our 14 night trip. It was several miles from Bangor, but had easy interstate access. The business center was small but had everything we needed - free! The giant cookies at check-in and the short bios of the US Presidents' wives in the hallway were unexpected treats.” May 5, 2008 by
K. J. from Trumbull, CT
“Loved the hotel! Hated the weak wireless signal! I travel with a desktop pc. I couldn't send an important file to my home office. The public computers in the business center had no way to load a copy of the file from a USB thumb drive on to their PC so I could email the file. I had to find a public library to mail my file!” Apr 30, 2008 by

“I will stay there anytime.” Apr 26, 2008 by
Harvey from Waitsfield, VA
“Dated facility right off of major highway. It works if only staying one night. Staff quite helpful. Rooms had a smell cannot really describe the type of smell you find in older facilities.” Apr 3, 2008 by

“Fair value for budget hotel.” Feb 25, 2008 by
Doreen from Howland, ME
“I was so impressed with the check in and the cleanliness. My stay went very sour when the room above mine came into use! The noise was terrible! The walls at this hotel are paper thin as far as noise goes. I asked for a different room at 12:30 A.M. and was told none were available. It made for a very long night and ruined my stay.” Jan 22, 2008 by
Christine from Dedham, MA
“Not bad for the price. There is nothing in Bangor. Just went for grandson's basketball game. Workout facilities were good, continental breakfast okay, lounge not too good.” Aug 31, 2007 by
Mike from Bedell, NB CA
“Helpful staff, great rooms, outdoor swimming pool, location is the only downfall, being slightly out of the way.” Jul 30, 2007 by
Amanda from Zealand, NB CA
“A great hotel for the price. An interesting concept with the presidential theme. I highly recommend this hotel based on the hotel staff alone. They were so friendly. The room was small but well equipped with a four post bed and a fire place. We will go back!” Apr 22, 2007 by
Jennifer from Franklin, ME
“Overall, the room was nice. Of the three different hotels we had to stay in this weekend, the Whitehouse was by far the nicest room-wise. Location wise sandwiched between a large Dysart¿s gas-station and the local land-fill left a bit to be desired. But the cookies were good!” Mar 12, 2007 by
Julie from Shediac, NB CA
“It was half-way for a weekend, family visit with children ranging from 1-9 years old. I would strongly suggest that you do not stay here with children. A few of the staff were friendly; however the two that we caution you about were very nasty to both the adults and the children. This is not a child-friendly spot, and this is very obvious!” Jan 15, 2007 by
Norman from Bar Harbor, ME
“We got to the hotel around 8.00 we watch some television our children fell asleep around nine. We had dozed off when around midnight we heard thumping giggling and screaming. This lasted until 3.00 in the morning. No I was not happy nor did we get any sleep. But we stayed till the next morning feeling we were stuck there.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jan 6, 2007 by

“Stayed over Christmas holiday with wife and son. Great value for the price, super location (next to the best restaurant around), super nice staff. Right on i-95.” Jan 5, 2007 by
Felix from Bedford, NS CA
“The staff was very courteous and even though the hotel was quit busy, it was very quiet. It is under renovations but it is quite apparent that it will be spectacular. I booked this room for two reasons. One approximate to everything, which it has. 2 swimming pools, unfortunately is seasonal. If the web site was more accurate with this fact I would have chosen a different hotel. I did not like the fact that there was no restaurant in the facility. On check out day, the parade of staff to my room door started at 8:15 am. The maid and maintenance staff was under the impression that we had already checked out. This equals poor communication. I would recommend this hotel to business travelers only.” Feb 22, 2006 by
Torri from Stonington, ME
“Clean, friendly, but not the best value that I have received. Nothing special, old bedding, and hard beds. The night before I stayed at the Sheraton, which was very comfortable. ” Mar 23, 2005 by
Weymouth from Ipswich, MA
“This hotel had all the great features you would find at a four star hotel. We could not have found a better place for the price we paid.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Hotel Representatives:
