• The fitness center has much much more than the usual 3 treadmills.
• Not the place to be if you want a nice view.

“We really like it all around. My wife loved the room and the shopping, I loved the breakfast and the fitness center. So we booked another night and extended our vacation. It's a bit outdated, in some respects, but there's something that my wife and I like about an old hotel, besides which it's not run down in the least, and has been modernized where it counts free wireless, for instance. Had a very relaxing stay.”

• Free continental breakfas, amazing restaurant, so cozy.
• When we arrived there was a police car on the parking lot and a few shady characters.

“Overall this was a great stay, the staff are extremely friendly. not sure about the area as I'm not familiar with Waterville and were simply driving through.”

• Very friendly staff, pool attendant was great, waitress for breakfast very friendly.

• The breakfast option, breakfast was included, but you could also choose to order from the restaurant.
• The dirty carpets. They are old and look like they have not been cleaned often.

• The rooms were nice, clean and the staff was very pleasant.

“The Holiday Inn in Water ville, ME was very nice and clean. The hotel staff was pleasant and more than willing to help in any way they could. The fitness center is nice too. My husband and I ate at the restaurant and were very pleased with their selection. Thanks for a wonderful stay!”

• I was impressed with how clean and bright white the bed sheets and comforter was considering it being a pet friendly hotel. We will be back for sure.
• Nothing really!

• Breakfast.
• It had a club attached to the hotel so you felt all night, the vibration of the band.

“The next time I go to me I will probably try another hotel in the area. When we checked in they never told us that breakfast was included. Actually, they didn't say anything friendly.”

• Convenient to stores. Very nice pool and fitness center.
• Bland, very little decor, no flowers or nice shrubs?

“Actually, we had a few problems 1 we were given a third floor room, the elevator was broken and did not go to the third floor, we have young children and lots of luggage and my wife has a broken ankle, so we asked for another room. And got one on the second floor the elevator went there, dog barking in opposite room, shower did not work? It was late when we wanted to shower after the children were asleep so we did not bother to complain that late because we were not going to change rooms again at that point, needless to say, we are a little disappointed. We dont travel much.”

• They take pets and have comfortable beds and nice warm pool.
• The congregation of smokers near the exits.

“We like to stay at this hotel; it is clean and very convenient to all the good things in Waterville close to Wal-Mart, hospitals, Colby college, downtown, library, home depot, within spitting distance to route 95. A very good location and pleasant staff very clean.”

• Easy access to freeway, close to services.
• Dirty window sill, rusty water in bathroom.

“The general cleanliness (sheets, towels, carpets, etc) was good. But maintenance cleaning - rusty water, filthy window sills, and remote access doors, pathways -- dirty and poorly maintained -- felt run-down. Check-in staff didn't understand the concept -- am concerned I will be double billed.”

• Clean. Nice warm pool. They allow dogs!
• Nothing.

“Located in a great area. They accept pets. We love the fact that they have 4 different entrances/exits. Beds are comfy, rooms large, everything very clean. The swimming pool and exercise room is great.”

• Pet friendly (takes dogs!) We always take our dog with us.
• Smokers hanging out near entrances making coming and going smelly.

“Liked twill go there again beds comfortable indoor pool clean and warm hot tub clean they accept pets! ”

“Best Western across the street, with 2 star rating (less than Holiday Inn) was much better. There were carpet stains on the rugs, just not a 2 1/2 star - that was your highest rating for Waterville.”

• Had a pool, spa, sauna, and fitness room, very clean.
• Nothing.

“It was an excellent pick for a hotel. Has great amenities, and a rather limited, but nice continental breakfast. Hotel staff were usually very friendly, and helpful. Hotel also has free wireless Internet, as well a connected computer in the lobby for those without a computer.”

• The hotel had a restaurant and lounge attached to the hotel. The Bar/lounge was different from he restaurant and both were comfortable and friendly.
• The bar crowd could get unruly.

“The hotel was an outstanding price for the amenities. The pool and fitness center was not crowded. The restaurant and bar attached to the hotel was a great bonus. If I wanted to shop at the chain stores, they were very close. The area had local and chain restaurants in the area and was convenient to 95.”

• Large, comfortable chair in which to read/watch television.
• Did not have complimentary breakfast.

“Nothing scenic, but good convenient location to Colby College. Comfortable, clean, generic room. Bathroom fixtures a bit dated.”
