• Lobby and first impressions very nich.
• Mildow on bathroom ceiling and curtain. old heating system, very wrinkled sheets. had to ask for extra blanket.

“First impression was nice. Hallways were nice. However, the bathroom was not: Mildow on bathroom ceiling and curtain. Also the room was using the old heating systems. The bed sheets were very wrinkled. Had to ask for an extra blanket. No complimentary coffee in the morning.”

• Overall hotel is very nice, friendly staff.
• No windows, very loud heating unit.

“Have stayed at this facility a few times with positive reactions. This stay had a very poor room, windows up so high could not see out. Heating system very loud and could see black residue on ceiling from the unit. Had the feeling since used discount booking, did not get the best room.”

• The bed was comfortable.
• The walls were very thin we could hear the couple next door all night, it was very loud, from our neighbors we had a very hard time sleeping.

“I would not recommend this hotel it does not live up to it's star level, I would say it was more like a 2 star, they did not give us transportation, (as it states in it's hotel accommodations) we had to get a cab, the hotel was not really all that clean and walls where very thin, the hotel was very loud, it is not a romantic place to go very disappointed in the room and the hotel, I was woken up by the hotel staff at 9 am they continued to bang on the door even after I hold them I was still here an didn't want to be disturbed.”

• Free shuttle into old town and great buffet breakfast.
• Couldn't use the shuttle at times when the CAT ferry departed/arrived from Nova Scotia each day.

“Situated a little out of town we were worried about how we'd get into the old town area, but we didn't have to worry - they provided a free shuttle bus and even dropped us at a couple of different spots (a great diner and art museum) and not just their standard stop. The hotel was nice and clean and had friendly staff. The buffet breakfast was a reasonable price and included a wide range of hot and cold foods. If I was in the area again, I'd stay there again.”

• Clean, comfortable beds, quiet & relaxing. Great commuter location!
• A drive to most attractions. Pool & hot tub areas could use some ambiance (but they were very clean!!)

“Stayed here as an overnight stop of day trips we were taking. The bed was super comfortable and the room was very quiet. (Would have thought with the highway and airport nearby it would have been noisy). The staff was accommodating and friendly. There is a restaurant there and room service is available for breakfast. We took a dip in the hot tub. It was comfortable but the room could use a bit of an atmosphere. A great stay for a great price!”

• The staff was courteous.
• Our room smelled like chlorine, it was right off the pool. It was disgusting. They shouldn't allow anyone to stay in the rooms right off the pool.

“The hotel room was awful. It was right off the pool and the room reeked of chlorine. The air-conditioning unit pumped in air from the in-door pool. That air was filled with chlorine scent. We woke up with our noses on fire. We couldn't wait to leave so we could breathe fresh air. The hotel needs to change those rooms or NOT allow anyone to sleep there. It was not a 3 star experience.”

• The swimming pool water was murky/cloudy. Needs more chlorine, more filtering.

• The beds were comfortable.
• The mold all over the bathroom. Also exposed plumbing from the sink.

“This was not a good hotel. When we arrived, the staff was friendly and we were impressed with the size of the room too. However, the decor was dated and the bathroom was completely unacceptable. There was mold growing across 2 of the 3 shower walls. Plus the wallpaper was peeling and there was exposed plumbing from the sink. The bed was very soft and comfy, which was the best thing about this hotel. Definitely not worth the high price per night. I have stayed in better campsites.”

• Friendly staff - I am getting to know them as I've stayed 3 - 4 times now.
• Annoying problems with my room's key/card. They worked only once, but the staff copied more for me and came up to deliver them.

“My family also enjoys coming to use the pool and sometimes to have the breakfast buffet with me. The buffet has anything one could want for breakfast for a reasonable price.”

“Rooms are small and facility is a bit shabby. Elevator is tiny and slow. The wireless internet was not working while we were there, which was a major inconvenience. The staff was friendly and apologetic about the internet problem.”

• Free parking, easy access to major roads and downtown.
• Dated filthy carpets, dreary hallways, old TV, aging hotel.

“Hotel is decently located immediately adjacent to route 295/congress st and downtown Portland. But you must have a car to get anywhere. Free parking, quiet area, but not seaside. While room was clean, it was shabby and in much need of modernization. Free wi-fi is a plus; overall for the money, a reasonable stay.”

• It allows pets and has a swimming pool. Only 2 kilometers from downtown.
• Old and out dated. Swimming pool was dirty, and front desk staff not friendly.

“Good location but not walking distance to downtown. Love the fact I can bring in my pet. The cleaning staff was super friendly and the manager was very friendly. Other staff at front desk was not friendly and rude. They acted like they didn't like their job and didn't care to help you.”

“Very clean and comfortable. I was there on business for seafood. Staff was willing to freeze gel packs that I needed for trip home. Room was kept up nicely, though plain. Difficult to hear TV if anything else in room was running.”

• Convenient location.
• HVAC was terrible. Other guests complained about their rooms being too hot as well. Curtains were not fully functional.

“Hotel was ok. However, the room haeting system did not function (either fully on hot or turned off completely). We roasted all night & had intermittent sleep (either too hot or told if we turned the unit off).”
