“Great location just south of Portland near the beaches and easy access to all local sites. Restaurant next door was poor quality and poor service, but no other option available for lobby breakfast complimentary to room charge.” Jul 2, 2008 by
Steven from South Burlington, VT
“Received a smoking room, when I had asked for a nonsmoking room. Several bugs in the room. Housekeeping did a good job, but the room had bad paint, mold, water damage, etc. I spent around 1 hour awake in the room over two days and it wasn't a pleasant hour in any way. My frame of reference is 3 and 4 star hotels for business travel 10 or 15 times/year, but I wasn't looking for any amenities beyond the room and a basic standard of up keeping.” Jun 4, 2008 by

“If you want to stay in Portland do go here unless you have to.” Dec 26, 2007 by

“Our stay was better than we would have expected at a comparable hotel in the Maine Mall Area. The room was comfortable and the little extras like the microwave and refrigerator in the room were appreciated.” May 31, 2007 by

“Our experience at the Merry Manor Inn was a pleasant one. Only about a 10 minute drive to downtown Portland, it had a very helpful staff in terms of sites to see and the room was very nice.” Sep 1, 2006 by

“Hotel employees very helpful and prompt. Room was clean and comfortable. Sharing book shelf and board game availability, PC with Internet access in the lobby all a nice touch. Outdoor heated pool and indoor spa area was great for teenagers.” Aug 31, 2006 by
Eugene from Colliersville, NY
“Clean, comfortable and quiet. Nicely located for hit and run trips into Portland for me it is better to be close to the city, without actually being in the city.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 28, 2006 by

“Clean, well located right off I-295, this hotel is not the most modern, but has been well kept up and has great staffing. Coffee in the lounge 24/7 and other amenities make the visitor feel welcome. Good family dining a short walk away at the Governor's re” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 11, 2006 by

“This property is in need of a makeover in the quest rooms. The room was overcrowded with furniture, the mattress on the bed was beat and noisy, and the wireless internet worked not at all in the room, and only marginally well for a while in the lobby.” Jul 5, 2006 by
Bonnie from Oakland, ME
“We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent quality for the low price. It was 4th of July weekend, and we only paid $119.00 for a room that was attractive and clean. It had a very comfortable king size bed, and a fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, hair dryer, and even a phone in the bathroom. It also had two sinks. A real plus when you are two in a room. We both agreed that we would like to go back.” Hotel Representatives:
