• Staff made my need for oxygen bottles very easy.
• Nothing.

“We flew in, rented a car and drove to the hotel. It is close to the airport and very easy to find. We had made arrangements with a local supplier for supplemental oxygen and equipment. We then drove on to our destination,spent a few days, drove back to the hotel, returned the oxygen equipment which the hotel staff held for the supplier to pick up. We then drove to the airport and caught a plane home.”

• It is 3 minutes to the airport.
• I had no complaints at all.

• Free airport shuttle; Pleasant and proactive staff; Reimbursed me for taxi fare from airport when shuttle wasn't running.
• Breakfast was too crowded for one at a time "cook-your-own" waffles.

“Small hotel with professional staff. Amenities such as computer with Internet access in the lobby, free airport shuttle and allowing long-term parking for a small fee make this an economical and convenient option for business travelers.”

• Good location.
• Would not recommend this hotel for those who smoke.

“A smoke free facility is not a feature for those that smoke. This is not what I would expect for a 2-star hotel. I have stayed at 1 star hotel with bigger rooms.”

• I especially liked the friendly staff and the continental breakfast.
• There was nothing that I disliked about this hotel.

“I found this hotel to be a well-kept clean friendly hotel. The continental breakfast was very satisfying. I especially liked the waffles. I am planning to stay here again next month.”

• Convenience to our target location. Beds were comfortable and staff was very nice.
• The Shower upstairs from ours leaked in our room. Coffee pot had mold in it for 2 days of our stay. Was never cleaned.

“I would recommend it but think it could use some repairs, and more cleanliness. The only ice machine was on 2nd floor. Rooms we very comfortable. The continental breakfast was average.”

• They were very helpful with the price when I request to stay the night before my departure.
• Had to wait extremely too long and call 3 times for shuttle service from airport.

“Check in and out was efficient. Beds and pillows were by far the best during our travels. Convenient to restaurants. Breakfast area too small for number of people. Refrigerator and microwave would have been nice to have.”

• Affordable, clean and close to the airport, only stayed one night.
• No complaints at all.

“We were pleased with the room, it was clean and comfortable. It was very convenient to the airport and The Mall of Maine. Many restaurants nearby, we only stayed one night, no complaints at all.”

• Although the hotel is in a busy location it is quiet and peaceful.
• Although I removed the "do not disturb" sign my room was not cleaned for two days.

“My overall stay at the hotel was good. The maid service, however, was not. Although I removed by do not disturb sign at around 11:45 a.m. my room was not cleaned for 2 days. I had to request fresh towels from the front desk and ask for my room to be cleaned. Because of a snow storm I had to leave one day early and did not receive a refund since I had booked online in spite of the poor maid service that I received. Other than that my stay at the hotel was a good experience. Just get new employees to clean the rooms.”

• Friendliness of the employees.
• The room was next to the lobby, was very noisy.

“Overall comfort and convenience was very good. I was disappointed with the location of the room in relation with the lobby and cafeteria. Cafeteria was just across the hall and was being open at 6:00 in the morning. The activity started about 5:00 and was very annoying when trying to sleep. Also much activity through the lobby late at night and early in the morning again about 5:00 am. Personnel were very friendly and cooperative.”

“Pleasant motel but just a little too far from shops/restaurants if you are not familiar with the city - I got terribly lost. When looking for a telephone directory in the room I found a plastic bag with nutshells and a bottle of nail polish in the drawer - too bad it wasn't my color!”

• Furniture was worn, only 1 elevator that was loud, felt not safe.

• Little support from mattress, thin scratchy blankets.

“The Comfort Inn in Portland aims to please with courteous, friendly staff, generous continental breakfast included in the price of the room, and a clean and pleasant atmosphere. The room size is a bit small, the mattresses did not offer much in the way of support - the blankets, though clean, are old, thin, and scratchy. Good TV size, reception, and channel selection. Nice toiletries and plenty of towels - I liked having the sink outside the room so both of us could get ready at the same time without crowding. I think I would have expected a little more in the way of bed comfort and condition at the full price. Comfort Inn Portland - lose those thin scratchy blankets and get some firmer mattresses!”

“It as a 2.5 star hotel with a 3 star price. The hotel itself was outdated. For a major chain, they need to do some updating. It is plain ugly,”

“The night staff and morning staff were very nice. The room was good the building should be knocked down and rebuilt. The room was clean but the bathroom was very small and narrow. A two star rating was accurate. ”
