• The view from the room, the kitchen joint with the bedroom.

• Kitchen with full size fridge & all required items supplied, all movie channels & internet hook up included.
• TV was 19 inch & only outdoor heated pool on site.

“A 600 feet off the beaten path and was a little hard to find the first time. Has a mall within minutes. Grocery store across the street. Wal-Mart a less than a block down the road. Newer building & clean. Lighthouses, Old Orchard Beach & Old Portland strip are within 10-15 minutes. Close to almost everything in the area. Great Cardio room (you'll need your own ear buds for the TV), but no free weights. Having a full kitchen helps you save some $ by eating in a few nights.”

• Very noisy, room was small and not well maintained.

“The room was rather small for the price. It was nice to have a refrigerator, microwave and stove to cut down on costs of eating, however, the room was not well maintained for not being very old. Also, the traffic from the street running behind the hotel was quite loud. My family enjoyed the continental breakfast each day but we weren't sure that the cost of the room was worth it.”

• I wish all hotel rooms were like this!
• Elevator could be more convenient.

“This extended-stay hotel had all the comforts of home. Plus, it was well-located near I-95, shopping and dining. I've stayed at almost all of the Marriott brands, and Town place Suites is probably the best combination of comfort and value.”

• Room was very nice/really liked location and the kitchen setting with the coffee pot, and breakfast was nice you could also take it to your room.
• Really wanted indoor heated swimming pool.

“the location was excellent in fact I have already recommended for co-worker. The complete kitchen setting was very nice. You could fix your own meals, snacks or eat out. Bed was comfortable liked all the warm blankets, and was impressed we had five pillows and not just two. The couch was nice touch also.”

“A very accommodating business hotel, just 10 minutes from Portland Airport and 3 minutes from the Maine Mall. Excellent room with free high speed Internet Great value and easy in and out to the Turnpike. Fresh fruit, juice cereal and breads available, along with complimentary newspapers.”

• Room was for my parents. They said it was the best hotel stay they had ever had.
• Absolutely nothing.

“I bought this stay for my parents and they could not say enough good things. Very convenient location, clean, very comfortable. My mother said it was the most comfortable hotel bed she'd ever slept in.”

• The kitchen that was in each room.
• The thin soft mattress on the bed.

• Slight food odor to room.

“We needed an overnight for a quick up and back trip and were very pleased with the accommodations, especially the reasonable price. Room was clean and comfortable, and we would by all means stay there again.”

• Great room design, amenties, very helpful staff & pet friendly! I like it so much I rebooked it for another night.
• Sorry but I liked everything.

“This hotel room was comfortable, attractive & well designed with a fully stocked kitchen. The staff was very friendly & helpful. As an added bonus, they welcomed my pet. It was convenient to shopping, dining, great scenic sights, & a major highway. It was everything I needed to help me relax after being on the road for 2 days straight & all at a wonderful price.”

• It was great and it is located in a good retail/restaurant area.
• I have no complaints. We had a great visit, nice room.

“ I was a little concerned because the only review I could find about this hotel was very negative, "thin walls, noisey, generally awful...." We didn't have any problem with noise (freeway traffic, other guests, TV's..) and our room was much nicer than I expected for the price. Great location.”

• The price, location, contenntial breakfast, and customer service were all fabulous.
• The was a water leakage, either from the toilet or the bath tub. I could not tell from which the leaking came. Perhaps the flushing of the toilet.

“As I stated in question #7, it was all great. Customer service ranks very high with me. This will either encourage me to come back or discourage me. In this case, the next time I fly into Maine, I will definitely make my reservations at the Towne Place Suites.”

“Exceptional in every way. No complaints. Sometimes the managers have to run off to take care of a problem but there's a sign on the door and you dial 0. I have stayed here 4 or 5 times over the past few years and I always like returning. The staff and managers are always gracious and accommodating.”

“The hotel was fine however I had a horrible experience with the desk staff. Around 11:00PM someone opened our door. I tried to call the desk for help, but the line was dead. I used my cell phone to call the office. The desk clerk apologized and said it was "them". They explained that another person was checked in to the same room. It is inexcusable that I disappeared from their files and my room was re-let to someone else. I don't I accept their explanation.”

“We enjoyed our 2 night stay at Town place Suites. It is conveniently located near shopping and restaurants, but tucked in a quiet area off the main highway. The room was very clean. The bed was so comfortable. We did not have any real use for the kitchen area on our stay. We did not hear any noise from the hallways at all. The lobby had a good variety of hot beverages (complimentary), along with breakfast to go in the mornings (granola bars, bagels, fruit). We felt it was excellent value for our money.”

“Large spacious room, clean and comfortable, staff was very helpful. Very clean, the only drawback was that the ice machine was across the parking lot, but then again, if that is the only complaint, it is very minor. Were very pleased overall.”

“The Town place Suites is a great place to stay. The facility is literally a hop, skip, and jump away from the higher-priced Residence Inn. Both properties are owned by Marriott, and both look the same from the outside. The only difference? The Residence Inn has a hot daily breakfast, whereas the Town place Suites offers bagels, muffins, coffee and juice. The Town place Suites are nicely sized, with room for a couch, recliner, and dining table/desk. The kitchen is small, but well stocked-- all the items you need to cook your own meals. Across the street is a grocery store (Shaw's) and the Maine Mall (stores, restaurants) is a minute drive away. I'd definitely stay there again. The staff is excellent.”

“I found a very helpful, polite yet friendly staff at a well appointed establishment. The room was large and well kept, the kitchen equipped with all I could need for a short or long stay. The TV cable choice was excellent for those needing entertainment. A continental breakfast was basic but tasty with always fresh coffee and the water for tea was, for once, hot enough to brew a good cup. The environment was quiet, although next to a major highway, giving easy access. I did not use the pool or fitness room, but both were very well maintained. I would certainly recommend this hotel and happily stay there again.”

“We were pleasantly surprised at the overall quality of the hotel. The room was spotless, the bed comfortable and the bathroom sparkling. The towels were thick and thirsty. The television had all the cable channels. The only complaint we may have had was that the television channels do not match the list in the information book. While the info we had about the hotel said there was HBO it was only available as a paid extra. The hotel also provided a very nice free continental breakfast and in room coffee service. We would definitely return to this hotel. The staff was also friendly and helpful.”

“This hotel is fabulous. It's outside city center, but an easy drive into town. It's close to the Maine Mall, so that is very convenient. The room was very clean and had all the amenities. I had a slight problem connection to their high-speed internet, but eventually got connected with their great customer service. All in all, a fabulous experience.”

“My hotel had a fully equipped kitchen which was very clean and really did have everything you would need. It had a dishwasher, which was nice. They supplied you with detergent, dish soap, paper towels and dish cloths. It was really great. Also, a nice continental breakfast and round the clock coffee in the lobby and a free newspaper every morning. Overall, really clean and nice people too!”

“Excellent almost brand new facility mainly aimed at longer term stay. Fullest kitchen yet seen, including full size oven. Staff was very helpful with directions and area info. Check-in/out was fast. Pool (outdoor heated) was small and we did not use.”

“Conveniently located near I-95 and the Maine Mall. Shopping and dining opportunities abound nearby.
Unit was clean and quiet, however cooking smells wafted in from the hallway. (these are efficiencies)
Continental breakfast was offered at no charge.”
